Was there both nights back in March 1977 as a 15 year old. They sounded exactly as they did on vinyl.I have been to many other concerts since but these two were the best ever!
I was at 1 of these concerts, 3rd row on the right of the stage, I was 11 or 12 and can't even remember anything of the night, My dad's friend owned a record store and had tickets through Abba's record label RCA, My dad must have told them I was a Huge Fan and they offered to take me,how awesome, Turns out they didn't tour often, They were huge and then were way out of fashion onl y about 4 years later though, The songs were so good they have turned into legends now right up there with the top bands.
❤️ Live Frida is a totally eargasmic experience - such power, tonality and exceptional vocal control ❤️ Great to hear the whole concert, what an amazing experience it must have been to have seen these 4 musical maestros performing their magical music phenomenon live. Thank you for sharing and uploading
What a fabulous and unusual rendition of Thank You for the Music by the girl with the golden hair letting loose. And I do I do I do with the best live harmonies, beautifully balanced vocals. Missing harmonies on some other songs, but, oh well…

You have to remember this audio is only tape quality and 43 yrs old so its not bad at all......thanks for this....the 1979 live recordings were polished up not live raw recordings like this!
ABBA music makes me want to live again and again after failures and misfortunes. Thank you! Always wanted to know the order of songs in Australian tour! Thank you!
This has to be one of the best bootlegs I've ever heard and I have heard some really good bootleg and I've heard some really crappy bootlegs but this has to be one of the best bootleg I've ever heard in my life
Frida's voice is the one you hear especially when they're live and singing in unison. She drowns Agnetha. Powerful voice, crystal clear and an amazingly beautiful woman.
Bobby Dougherty you are wrong. When they sing together, you often can't tell them apart. It's clear that it's not only Frida's voice when you hear Mamma Mia and Knowing me. Agnetha's voice in lower register has similar timbre to Frida's. During two verses in Knowing me you hear Frida's voice alone then it changes because Agnetha joins in unison. It became more powerful. You can hear it on a record as well, listen when their voices merge, you won't b able to tell them apart.
I agree it’s a bit opposite to the recordings where in higher sections of songs Frida’s voice seems to disappear… maybe a matter a Mixing. But Frida is much more present when singing live. Maybe part of why she was more into live concerts than Agnetha. Frida was very selfsecure on stage…
Definatley live from 1977 so why would you use a 1979? However this is one of the clearest bootlegs I've ever heard of a 77 concert, shame so much of its spliced together with missing audience noise / participation, intros and endings of songs but, thats me being critical. I guess you made the best of what you could find and, tried to reassemble it all so, good job. Apparently recordings of all the Aussie concerts exist in the Univeral archieve but, we were imformed a couple of years ago they are not up to release standards. Thats a shame because only 3 or 4 songs have ever been released from this set of concerts. There doesnt seem to be much footage surviving following the editing process for ABBA - the Movie so a full concert release in any form seems unlikely these days.
And to think that they didn't even write half their hits yet -- Take A Chance On Me......The Name Of The Game..... Super Trouper.... The Winner Takes It All.....Chiquitita.....Voulez Vous.......Gimme, Gimme, Gimme....Does Your Mother Know....Eagle.....Andante Andante......I Have A Dream....On And On And On.....Lay All Your Love On Me.....When All Is Said And Done.....Summer Night City....The Way Old Friends Do.....Slipping Through My Fingers....That's another concert all by itself right there
they didn't write half their hits, ahhh guess you mean some of the big hits had not been written when this concert was played. The newest single at that time was 'Knowing Me Knowing You' although the concert features the full and first attempts at the mini musical, 'The Girl With The Golden Hair' which became part of 'ABBA - The Album' when it was released in late 77 / early 78 in some countries.
J'aime beaucoup la chanson I Wonder .

Frida blasting out Tiger 🐯
Absolutely Brilliant xxx
Just amazed at how good their voices are live. The vocals on these songs are SO demanding and there’s just not one false vocal anywhere.
I've Been Waiting For You is pure magic - Agnetha's soars!
Frida is always technically perfect , this woman never once sang of key. Impressive
Abba so great❣️ The tour 1977 which including one of my favourite Abba songs: When I kissed the teacher 👍🏻
I love the live version.

They’re fantastic live!
ABBA is the best. I wished that the 1977 Perth concert was on video.
I wish one of the Australian concerts is on video ore dvd
I agree. They released a full 1979 concert on 2 cd. There has to be a full video somewhere
You can wathch the movie with ABBA recorded during their tour in Australia.

Incredible bootleg live recordings ! Love it !
Magnifique , sublime , fabuleux et brillant concert . J'aime beaucoup
ABBA music makes me want to live again and again after failures and misfortunes. Thank you! Always wanted to know the order of songs in Australian tour! Thank you!

Its more like a real great mix, like lennon/mccartney
Frida always was my favorite. I saw ABBA live in Copenhagen 1979. She also had a powerful presence on stage.
WOW so glad i find this👍🏻
Same here. We’re both fans aren’t we..❤️✨❤️
Wow, this great. Been a fan since 1997 and always enjoyed Abba The movie. Now the whole concert.
Bought tickets for the March 11th, 1977 concert, first row centre stage what luck. Great concert
Love it
It was brilliant!!!
Brilliant xxxxx

Grand Harbour Valletta!
I went with My Father to this one!!
Really awesome :) But maybe u should change the picture because that's from the 1979 tour...

great job me suscribo
Sehr gut
Super diamond!
Not sure how anyone would be able to record this in secret. Have you seen how big tape recorders were in the 70s!? 😂
There were small ones.

@1:31:52 does the majority of the instruments and background strings suddenly cut out in Dancing Queen for most of the song?

Was this the concert when frida fell on the stage? If not where can i see a video of that moment?
