With the advent of the convolutional neural network, computer vision use cases exploded. Cars are now (mostly) driving themselves, facial recognition algorithms appear in every corner of society, and buy side financiers are using aerial satellite imagery to make automated investment decisions. Our world is undeniably affected permanently by the great opportunities presented by computer vision.
