@@lubbyLB that doesn't mean shit. There is 8billion people on the planet and plenty of them are selfish assholes. I doubt it's as rare as you think it is.
Smarter areas have a response for this. Basically, if you're likely to get swatted, local dispatch will have your address logged as a potential crank call spot and will not respond with full force until someone can verify what's going on. They'll usually just send over a pair of officers to knock and check on the residents but I've heard some will just call and ask over the phone. Streamers can even request this exemption if they can prove it's a legitimate concern, which is easy of you've been swatted just once. Surprisingly (but not really), dumber precincts will respond with full tac teams for the same address five or six times and nobody will think about just f*cking knocking. Looking at you, Cali cops!
Lol, cali cops haven't been doing anything as of recent. especially the L.A. area. The new mayor has put a strict order on anyone messing up or bringing the wrong kind of attention is ground for instant fire or transfer.
Yo, you need to contact your local departments and give them your name/address and inform them that you stream and that ppl may try this. Once you’re down on their watch list it reduces the chance of it escalating to this. (Pro tip from Thor)
This needs to be seen. Swatting is no joke and it's terrifying that people even need to think about taking these sorts of precautions but they do because some darwin award candidate with -2 brain cells thinks its funny.
Thor is right, but the reality is not that simple I watched a videa a week ago, one of the streamers that has been SWATted a dozen times was talking about how he had to move out of Texas because no matter how many times he reached out and how many times they were called they fucked with him and even knowing he was a victim of a crime they still didn't do things to improve the situation Literally a video of the streamer basically saying it had happened a few times and they aren't working with him and the come is like "Yeah, and what did you do?" and it was clear the cop wanted to blame the streamer for the damn problem, they insisted handcuffs and searching even after it had happend a couple times But yes, people need to know that before their first swatting they should have contacted their nearest PD
Honestly wouldn't stream it. Giving the swatter exactly what they want. It's like how the WWE never shows people who jump in the ring from the audience anymore.
Never seen this guy before but he handled this like a boss. When I was a CO I had to go through hostage survival, and he did everything right. Don’t make sudden movements, don’t run towards the officer, and don’t resist when you get put in cuffs. They’re going to make sure the scene is secure and there’s no possible threats, and then they’ll figure out who’s who. For what it’s worth, you should be able to go to your local PD and Sheriff’s Department and let them know you’re a streamer, and to treat any SWAT calls as bogus. That way instead of the whole team, you’ll probably just get an officer or two knocking on your door to make sure you’re ok.

@@shanevanholm2684 Seriously? If you dont understand that people are swatting him because they want to see it happen on stream and take credit, then ur just dumb.
They might have guns trained through the window at him, letting him keep touching things they might assume he’s uncovering a weapon or tampering with whatever he’s doing to get rid of evidence or to trigger something or warn a 2nd party that they’ve been had. Best to do what he did at best and don’t touch anything.
The best thing to do is to turn the stream off and never acknowledge it. It's seems cold but now the swatter has the content he wanted. If you got shot on stream they'd be happy about it. Don't let them even get the chance
However, leaving the stream on creates video evidence. Remember every action is being watched by a team with guns ready to shoot. Turning off the stream could be considered an act of attempting to conceal something. And if the worst case happens, the video evidence guarantees someone will be held accountable
@@IndicaAU you misunderstood, I'm talking about the fact that a swat team doesn't know what they might be doing. @@jared_17 they go in with full military gear, it is a military response. You really think it should keep happening without any sort of confirmation or investigation at all?
It's not an anonymous tip like "Oh, I think they're selling drugs over there," no, it's "There's a guy holding people hostage with several guns, screaming out of the house that he'll start shooting any second, please please send help" how do you expect them to respond to a call like that? The moment they stop responding to calls like that is when they're gonna be slapped with a very real situation where every moment counts. All calls to emergency services should be traced via phone companies. Each phone having its own profile.
The cops didn’t used to need to be paramilitaries. “Treating every call seriously” does not need to mean indiscriminately breaking down doors, pointing guns at randos, and murdering dogs.
Wants to make sure its all on camera in case something does happen. Police cameras "malfunction" or the footage is "lost" and "corrupted" all the time.
If people were busting into your home with fire arms to point at you and all your friends you wouldn't want any form of evidence just incase something terrible happens?
Not only is it smart to record the interaction for the streamers safety and to keep the officers in check, keeping the stream going is good because the swat team, especially if they have been called to the same location multiple times and understand there is a streamer in the house, might watch the stream to gather insight and come in a little less aggressive if the streamer is showing they are cooperating. Note he’s telling his friends to get down like he is. If an officer is watching, seeing most of the house members gathered like that, they will be less likely to come in firing.
Although i agree that you should allways try to protect yourself by recording, i dont think Adin is smart enough to do that. If that was his actual intention he would of told his friend who was on the phone to do the same
@LancerinCompany however he may have been smart enough or have the self preservation to do it himself, just not the thought to ask his friend to do the same. The mind makes weird decisions when under stress.
I'm a 911 dispatcher and this happens far more than it should, even in the suburban/rural area I work in. However, in our system we have notes and alerts for frequently swatted addresses and its mind boggling to me that other places dont do that as well. It’s not okay that people are this scared of the ones that should be protecting them
They do trace the call back to the swatter, contact their local law enforcement and arrest the individual. It’s considered “Threatening interstate communication” or a simple conspiracy charge which is a felony

they don't unless they are smart
Its hard to catch them in the same way its difficult to stop spam calls.
The thing is even if it's an anonymous call they tend to send law enforcement regardless. So it's really hard to find out who called and prosecute them.

Ludwig and QT are frequent fliers and still get SWAT'd
Thor is right, but the reality is not that simple
I watched a videa a week ago, one of the streamers that has been SWATted a dozen times was talking about how he had to move out of Texas because no matter how many times he reached out and how many times they were called they fucked with him and even knowing he was a victim of a crime they still didn't do things to improve the situation
Literally a video of the streamer basically saying it had happened a few times and they aren't working with him and the come is like
"Yeah, and what did you do?" and it was clear the cop wanted to blame the streamer for the damn problem, they insisted handcuffs and searching even after it had happend a couple times
But yes, people need to know that before their first swatting they should have contacted their nearest PD
Cops don't care. They do nothing or ask you to 'change your username then' which isn't going to work.
@@XetelianThat’s wild!

It's for their safety if anything happens to them. And a great source of proof

At least 300 “bro” references in this short clip 😂
Never seen this streamer but props to him for not escalating things and getting his people calm and collected to keep everyone safe
How do people even call swat in with such ease?
You use trigger words like bomb threat, hostage, trafficking, and the like
The best thing to do is to turn the stream off and never acknowledge it. It's seems cold but now the swatter has the content he wanted. If you got shot on stream they'd be happy about it. Don't let them even get the chance
True
However, leaving the stream on creates video evidence. Remember every action is being watched by a team with guns ready to shoot. Turning off the stream could be considered an act of attempting to conceal something. And if the worst case happens, the video evidence guarantees someone will be held accountable
@@InsomniacStephens141bro the swat being sent to the house is enough evidence lol
@@IndicaAU you misunderstood, I'm talking about the fact that a swat team doesn't know what they might be doing. If they see someone reaching for their computer they could assume the person was trying to conceal something incriminating, resulting in that person getting shot despite being completely innocent
The fact that they can even swat a house on so little information is a violation of our rights
So imagine if this WAS a serious swat call in. Like if there were drugs/violent criminals/hostages then it would be a good thing for swat to be there.
Unfortunately, this time (and too many times), Bad Actors call in fake swats to be entertained.

its not a military response and it should happen, just that callers need to face serious consequences if lying
@@jared_17 they go in with full military gear, it is a military response. You really think it should keep happening without any sort of confirmation or investigation at all?
@@MyPurpleScissors the things that are said on the calls and text= FUCKING YES and of course the cops have to treat every call as real

He is doing that so if he is shot and killed they have evidence that he did everything correctly.
It's never a bad idea to have your police interactions on camera, it makes sense that he'd want as much in the frame as possible.
He’s the happiest streamer I’ve ever seen ever he’s always oozing such happiness in his streams
I'm a 911 dispatcher and this happens far more than it should, even in the suburban/rural area I work in. However, in our system we have notes and alerts for frequently swatted addresses and its mind boggling to me that other places dont do that as well. Our deputies always respond on the off chance it is legitimate but are informed its a typical swatting address. Maybe @AdinStream you could look into contacting your local agency to set something like that up.
