I'm looking for faster result training plans, like sub 20 for 5k etc is there any that you can up load to forerunner watch and it tells you what to do each day?
Ok is there something wrong with my Garmin connect, the only options for training plans are for cycling, also I have noticed the way my connect is set upnis different to friend's setups??
Hi there, I have a Vivoactive 4s and am on my second coach plan the 10k. The plan is Jeff Galloways which recommends a run walk run style of training. Whilst in the running section of a work out, based on the pace that I am aiming for, I should run for 1 minute then walk for 30 seconds. I know that I can choose intervals to have the watch vibrate when I am running just on a normal run and its great. But if I am using a scheduled workout, I can't seem to add the interval notifications in. I tried running the workout in normal mode then have it recognise it as part of the program in hindsight (as I used to do on my fitbit) but coach does not seem to be able to do that. I would love some suggestions as focussing on running takes enough energy without having to look at the watch every 30 seconds to keep a consistent run walk run pattern.
I been running short distances almost 20 years and finished five half marathons within the last 2 years but never a full. Right after deciding to aim for a full marathon, I used this marathon training “Zοrοtοn Axy” (Google it). Book very informative and a lot of great ideas. Finished my first marathon AND qualified for Boston. .
So what you are saying is, you did a marathon base upon the training plan from Garmin?? Does it really work to follow step-by-step a training like that without having a coach in real life?
There is not the slightest training program for the marathon ?!?! What a shame when Garmin claims to sell professionnal running watches ! I can’t believe it ;(
Liz Charles this feature on the garmin watch was designed for running. Garmin watches track certain stats to help athletes/casual athletes race or improve their performance. The watch wouldn’t have much benefit for activities such as dancing. There are RUclips videos you can find on dancing. They’re free. Garmin caters to certain activities like running, swimming, cycling.

We warnt a Marathon Version.
Hey Garmin! You make it easy for runners. What about cyclists or swimmers? There are people who don't run, but ride. 😕

It would be nice if they had a dance or exercise at home coach. As I'm disabled and can only do exercise at home
