Isabel was SOOOOO good as Elsa! I'm blown away! That Tennessee accent! Wow! The writing, the darkness, the sets, the production, the props, the costumes, the cast, the acting! 10/10!
I really love how this story is unfolding. Isabel narrating it is so deep where you actually feel her words. She is doing an amazing job acting also. Tim and Faith I have huge respect for. I am not much of a country music lover, but the fact they have been together in todays celebrity spotlight for so long and remained a fan favorite without bad publicity is rare, and every time I hear about them is always a positive experience
After watching 1883, with a lot of pausing and replaying of scenes to really take the message in, I cannot hear Elsa's voice without tearing up. Isabel May crushed her role with playing Elsa. 1883 really helped me appreciate what the pioneers & Natives went through for their futures and freedom. Great work by Taylor Sheridan, cast and crew. Next for me is 1923.
This show deserves ALL the awards! Especially Tim McGraw. Man he really sold every emotion. You can tell he really pulled every emotion from his soul as a father.
Isabel May is quite the talented actress. I've never seen a performance from an actress quite like the show she puts on in 1883 as Elsa Dutton. She did an incredible job with the accent, all of her deliveries, and conveying emotion that really gave the show such a raw feel. Fantastic series that was really brought home by such a well-rounded cast!
Im a young father and this show hits every line with perfection, i literally got hypnotized by watching Elsa she’s got such a beautiful voice and her narration was poetic, shed a lot of tears, Tim McGraw absolutely blew it out of the park also Sam Elliot and Elsa their relationship as he looks at her as a grandchild, his reason to keep on living was her gave him purpose. Just an amazing story and probably one of the best western shows in the last 30 years maybe longer. Watch Taylor Sheridan on Joe Rogan and u see where his love for the old west comes from. Reads a lot of books and knows his shit. Someone who actually lives on a farm and has horses chickens ,herds of cattle who gives meat to his neighbours and actually works on his ranch everyday living that way with millions of dollars in the bank such a wholesome guy very refreshing coming from a Hollywood producer.
Usually prequels and sequels are just a bonus for the fans of the main series.. But 1883?! It was the best series I EVER have seen. I loved it so much, even more than Yellowstone itself. Elsa really is a stunner. But she not only looks amazing, she has so much charakter and is so unbelievably strong. Well played! A big thank you to all of the cast!
the part where isabel's voice was breaking while talking about becoming a part of faith's and tim's family makes my heart so warm, the show is absolutely amazing! isabel deserves an oscar for her performence in the show
This was a great series. This should be required watching in all school curriculum. The struggles these pioneers went through is a great lesson in humility. Brilliant cast.
If this show is accurate it’s a miracle any pioneers survived seeing how there was danger everywhere they turned even using the bathroom by a tree was dangerous. It’s definitely not Little House on the Prairie.
I have been blown away by how good this show has been. The intensity of feelings, from joy to despair, hits me every episode. It was cool that Tom Hanks made a cameo appearance too. I'm a huge fan!
1883 was fabulous. Tragic. But absolutely true to life. Reality bites. I started watching 1883 on a plane. Finished 4 episodes. And then came home and finished the remaining ones over two evenings of binge watching. It’s fantastic. And I am a lifelong Louis L’Amour Fan. This series 1883 is fabulous, what little I was able to see of 1923 is brilliant. And Yellowstone is superb! I wish we could get all of these easily in India on Prime.
Faith, Tim, Isabel, Sam, the entire cast, writers, everyone involved created an amazing series. It’s wonderful to see such incredible female characters.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED 1883. All Actors were fantastic but Isabel May is the VERY BEST. I loved her deep voice and narrating the whole show. The writing. By Taylor Sheridan is moving, and the best writing ever in a show. I'm gonna watch 1883 again. Watched all 10 episodes. Again LOVED 1883. The Thanks Carolyn Fleet
Isabel's performance was superb. And her narration too was so good. I loved every minute of every episode, the ending was overwhelming but that's what made it great.
Man, where do I begin with this amazing series. The story, the cast, the music and the unbelievable cinematography. This show was just an all around masterpiece. And if you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, what are you waiting for? There were so many interesting and powerful characters in this series. However, non more powerful than Else Dutton played by Isabel May. Her performance whether she was narrating or acting was simply amazing. Faith Hill was great as well. But her husband Tim McGraw was surprisingly great. The chemistry between Isabel May and Tim McGraw as father and daughter was so beautiful. I can’t emphasize how amazing this show was and how much it will touch your soul. Do yourself a favor and watch it. 😊😊😊
Probably the best show I've seen in years... one of the top favorites of my lifetime. I hope, truly hope, the writers and producers and directors and actors of this incredible, powerful, jaw-droppingly awe-inspiring show know how much they've touched us admiring fans with such beauty, heart, fire, and grace through this art form. So many episodes brought me to tears, and every single one captivated me. What. A. Story.
The 1883 series is beyond amazing, it transported me into their journey. It took me a week to snap out of Elsa's death. In my family tree their are legends that a few of my distant relatives were attacked scalped. It brought to life what happened. I watched each episode at least 10 times. I loved Elsa's narrative perspective. Superb!!
I loved this show. I was very disappointed to find the series only had 10 episodes. Double that would not be enough. Faith was almost not recognizable in her part(excellent job) Wonderful story, wonderful cast, fantastic viewing experience.
I just binged this series, 1883. OMG, Heartbreaking, joyous, triumphant, horrifying, terrible, wonderful. I watched Yellowstone for a few seasons until it got too “Dallas”. This series is Lonesome Dove x 20. It’s an epic series. Can’t think of anything critical to say about it.
It was a great series. A great western, and I loved Isabel's deep character and philosophical narrative about what she is experiencing. A great performance!
I literally watched Elsa go from this young girl running through a train in a dress, hat, pigtails and the look of innocence and curiosity glowing from her eyes to grow into powerful fearless warrior wearing pants showing up with pride, ambition, drive, passion, hunger for this world in her eyes was absolutely captivating! I was in awe of her performance and the script, my God, not enough words to give credit. I'm truly going to miss Elsa, I looked forward to continue to watch her grow but a beautiful fulfilled life well lived. Sam said it best she has lived far more than any of us will ever get to
To comment on this series is most assuredly a valuable lesson in itself. For me there was an awareness that each character on the screen had a bit of my personality and soul. From the sadness in Sam's heart to Isabel's zest for more and eventually Tim's loss at the end, such has been my 60 plus years. This was Iconic in scenery, script and the telling of evolutions that humans went through just to provide a sanctuary for those that come after them. I believe that this story is the bedrock for what all of us call freedom and that without the hardships and the learning curves we must go through, we would not be propelled towards a future.
We all have seen many westerns, but they are mild against the horror and fury of how the town's people are portrayed in this western series. They would just shot everybody, anybody...women, young people, etc. It was a west like no other. The horror that you see, then the love and care of a family and others, its so blunt and rough, real and tender. I couldn't stop watching this...and the feelings I got from this unbelievably strong series, shakes, astounds, horrified, and made you pray that the families would be safe, and make it to their new home. I have never seen anything to equal this. If you have the bravery, heart, and stamina to watch this, you will never forget it.
Way to go Faith and Tim nice to see an actual solid married couple ,play their roles together ❤ on 1883... These two are definitely God blessed! Such a amazing example of a faithful marriage
By far the best miniseries in a long long time up there with Roots! I remember as a kid watching Roots every night it was incredible family entertainment and so amazing acting and learning about the history of our great nation. The realism in the story in 1883 is unbelievable it's a wake-up call to anyone that believes in the woke movement! As a country we've gotten too soft and it could be our ultimate demise if we don't wake up!
Loved the show, I have watched many TV series, like Roots , Centennial, and I have to say this cast was the best of the best. Isabel May was amazing and should win an Emmy for her performance.
Every time I see any PR on this show (which I absolutely LOVED!!) Faith mentions how grueling it was. You can see it on film--almost every scene is outside, action, with animals, very physical acting. The cast was just fantastic, along with everything else that made this series remarkable.
Less is more - Isabel so much prettier without all that make up on this interview - she is stunning In 1883. Brilliant acting from both - great story - love it and cannot wait for each episode. Well done ladies both.
I always thought Tim McGraw would do a good job, he’s been acting for a bit. When Faith was cast, I was a bit surprised, but did not judge. I figured her husband will bring out the best in her and help her get comfortable on set, she should do alright. Sweet merciful crap, SHE IS TREMENDOUS. Faith Hill needs to be nominated for an Emmy and a Globe. They all do.
James + Margaret might be my favorite TV parents ever. They each have their moments close the the edge and every time they catch themselves and find their way back to each other - and more importantly back into their role as models for their children. It’s raw and beautiful and real. Never see parents portrayed in a way that was both aspirational and relatable.
Whoever was in chat of casting for the show, I hope they got a big raise. Isabel looks like she could've been Tim & Faith's daughter and their chemistry onscreen was very emotional.
It's had my attention right from the preview. Watching episode 10 I found myself upset that two of my favorite characters are gone. Yet, I'm hanging on to see the rest of it once it hits the TV. I've really enjoyed it thus far. I imagine the focus will be more on the Duttons in future episodes and I hope we see little John shine where big sis left off. Big shoes to fill.
1883 was a world class fantastic series with a fantastic cast in front of and behind the cameras. !! Taylor Sheridan put together a long lasting memory for sure.
It's amazing how much Isabel looked like she could really be Tim's daughter. Same for the kid who played the son. Made it really easy to see them as a real family. Often times, the family members don't really look like family, but you ignore it and concentrate on the story.
@@chrisscanlon3717 Well, the whole show was full of modern language at times. It was odd...sometimes there were instances where they used words and phrases of the time, but most of the time, the language was more modern. People talked differently, and used phrases that would sound kind of funny, or corny to us. They also cursed differently. I don't think they dropped F bombs back then. I'm not sure when that started, but I'm pretty sure they used much different expletives. And not all of them were considered curse words. It's like somebody making a movie about the 1960s, or early 70s, but the people talk like we do today. No..I was a kid back then. We talked much differently. Part of watching something historical, is to see what life looked like back then.
I have never started a series and binge watched it all the way through until 4 in the the next morning.....but that's what I did with this awesome series! I just couldn't stop watching it. This series was perfectly cast, everyone! Every person was amazing, but WOW! Isabel May should most definitely get awards for her role, it's hard to find words for her EXCEPTIONAL acting in this. Great doesn't even seem to do her justice. I fell asleep thinking about this series, I woke up still thinking about it, and I haven't stopped thinking about throughout the day! This series really touched me, it's caused me to really think deeply, and to ponder many things. I hope there's going to be another season. Thank you to all involved in creating this masterpiece, you really went above and beyond!
One of the best if not the best TV westerns I have ever watched. Absolutely love it. Sad, Frightening, Adventure, harsh, Brave, Hard Love, Survival and much more.
This was a great show and Isabel is a great young actress. She reminds me of Jenifer Lawrence. Very personable. And Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were also outstanding.
I love the father daughter dynamic on both shows. Isabel makes me excited and afraid for my little girl at the same time. An amazing show that transcends all demographics. I absolutely love the shows and Taylors writing for all his projects. Keep up the good work!
Please don't discontinue this Series I watched it the whole weekend I actually stumble upon it. Even tho the end what very emotional I do hope she did go into a coma. Keeping my finger crossed. Oh and this is my first time making a comment on a movie. I am hoping to see more.
Wow isabel is a lot more chill than I thought or they are both tired as hell. Lol I love watching these two women together on screen. The narration really is great. To speak like a true southern u have to slow your role. I love it! By the grace of God I was born here in Dixie. I love southern culture and this show does a great job telling that story of a southern family anti bellum moving west on the back end of the trail craze.
One thing i noticed: you can have strong female characters in a movie and yet not feel like being fed propaganda by the spoonful. It is natural, era-appropriate, they do not make then into mini-Wonder Woman caricatural characters. So refreshing to see that
@@katdeluxy9608 LOL. The whole point was actually contrary to modern-day Hollywood dramas of fake female empowerment and how this show does it right. Reading comprehension skills not your strong points (writing neither apparently).
Just watched Lonesome Dove for the first time. I see where Sheridan got most of his work from, the first scene in Yellowstone, Cosner breaking a horse, same as Lonesome Dove but Tommy Lee. Texas going to Montana. Great story love westerns specially in this country we live in with all the censorship. We need wholesome shows with no boundaries.
I have never seen a Show that hat has spoken so emotional to my heart. OMG Isabell was so amazing playing Elsa. I could listen to her voice all day. She is also so beautiful. I have never felt so heartbroken because of a movie, like I felt in the ending scene. I cried my eyes out und I just couldn’t und wouldn’t believe that Elsa died.. OMG that was acting on the highest level ..
Isabel was SOOOOO good as Elsa! I'm blown away! That Tennessee accent! Wow! The writing, the darkness, the sets, the production, the props, the costumes, the cast, the acting! 10/10!
Her accent was horrible. Wealthy English South Carolina accent, not Tennessee at all
Um, what? The accent was not a TN accent.
Faith Hill is so beautiful. I've never heard her or Tim sing. Being Swedish I never listen to country. Now I will
@@olivia6063 Faith sings better than Tim. Actually Tim acts better than he sings.
I liked it.@@nolongervailable9400
The Tim/Faith combo on this show with Isabel/ Elsa narrating was just a huge win for this show! It was SO, SO good!

They seem like they are close. So sweet.
One of the best if not the best TV westerns I have ever watched. Absolutely love it. Sad, Frightening, Adventure, harsh, Brave, Hard Love, Survival and much more.
This movie really affected me. I was in tears. I wished they indicated where mom and son were.
Isabel is an amazing actress and she's such a beautiful young lady this is one girl that doesn't need any make up at all
This was a great show and Isabel is a great young actress. She reminds me of Jenifer Lawrence. Very personable. And Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were also outstanding.
❤ 1883❤
Outstanding work.
I love the father daughter dynamic on both shows. Isabel makes me excited and afraid for my little girl at the same time. An amazing show that transcends all demographics. I absolutely love the shows and Taylors writing for all his projects. Keep up the good work!
Agreed. I relate on many levels with my own daughter to the dynamics of Tim and Isabel's characters. The finale hit me in the feels last night.
@@jaesea323 didnt see it yet. Lol
I am just going to say that 1883 is my new favorite show. Faith still beautiful as always.
Very emotional ending - great show
The best show!! I’m enjoying 1923, but not as much as this one. Both beautiful ladies! ❤
When Faith Hill only try to put others first... One good soul.
Just watched all 10 episodes. Was a great story. Thank God for Taylor Sheriden
I don’t know how the show goes on without Isabel 😞
One of the greatest westerns I’ve seen
I wish there was a second season 😭😭 1883 was such a great show!!
They are making one called 1932.
BEST SERIES EVER!!!!
I love the way the mom has to Handel her teenage daughter , a true moment in the movie .
This show is Lonesome Dove, so outstanding!!
One thing i noticed: you can have strong female characters in a movie and yet not feel like being fed propaganda by the spoonful. It is natural, era-appropriate, they do not make then into mini-Wonder Woman caricatural characters. So refreshing to see that
Are you would be fractured in to pieces?
@@katdeluxy9608 could you translate that into basic English, please?
@@RazvanCosti I said you sound like a snowflake that’s very fragile.
@@katdeluxy9608 LOL. The whole point was actually contrary to modern-day Hollywood dramas of fake female empowerment and how this show does it right. Reading comprehension skills not your strong points (writing neither apparently).
@@katdeluxy9608 you sound like the snowflake 😂
My all time favorite show...1883. Best cast ever.
They are performed so well!
I 😘 VE ISABEL MAY!!! I truly cried on 1883
