I Created The Craziest Pokemon Race Of All Time
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 26 сен 2024
- I challenged @ackoladeTV to the CRAZIEST Pokemon Lockout Challenge ever created. We could play ANY Generation 3, 4, or 5 Pokemon game in order to complete 13 objectives before the other player. Who will come out victorious? Watch to the end of the video to find out!
Also, make sure you're 🚨SUBSCRIBED🚨 to both this channel and @ackoladeTV. I specialize in challenge runs and he makes great Pokemon speedrunning content. Also, if you enjoyed the race - 👍LIKE THE VIDEO👍! And 🗣LEAVE A COMMENT🗣 - what objectives should we use in future races?
Here are the official rules for the race:
A bingo board will be generated with 25 random categories. When a player completes the requirements of a category, they mark off the category in their color. This prevents the opposing player from marking the category (they are “locked out”). The goal of the challenge is to be the first player to complete and mark off 13 objectives (the majority). The placement of the categories does not matter (e.g., getting 5 in a row doesn’t matter). For this race, the goal was lowered to 11 objectives partway through.
Players may use any of the games listed in the “Allowed Games” section below. In order to complete many categories, players will need to switch games throughout the challenge (many even include doing things in multiple games). Players may use in-game saving and are allowed to return to games after switching. However, players may not use save states or reset the game for any reason. Players may also only play one game at a time. Additionally, players may play on 200% or 2x speed, no glitches, No changing times. Anything not listed here can be verbally agreed to during the challenge.
The Bingo board will be hidden at first, and on a verbal count, the players may reveal the board and have ~5 minutes to review the chosen categories. Players may not start progress on any game during this review. Players will verbally confirm that the review is over, and a second verbal count will be said to start the actual challenge. To minimize the tutorials, players may progress any game up to (but not including) the starter Pokemon selection.
When a player fulfills the requirements of a category, they may mark off the bingo square. It does not matter which player completes the requirement first, only which player marks it off first (but of course, they must complete the requirement).
Allowed Games: Pokemon FireRed / LeafGreen, HeartGold / SoulSilver, Ruby / Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond / Pearl, Platinum, Black / White, Black 2 / White 2

Guts Music: Rodeo Rookie - The Fly Guy Five
this was super fun! let's run it again soon
Were you playing at 2x speed?
Nvm it looks like you both were
I'm definitely interested in seeing round 2
Ideas for future objectives:
- Score two crits in a row
- Friendship evolution (no lux ball)
- Encounter NPC trainer who says about pants in 3 games
- Fire, water, electric, and grass in party (4 diff mons)
- Get poisoned, paralyzed, and put to sleep
- Survive Self Destruct or Explosion
- 5 Pokemon with attack boosting nature in 5 diff games
Ooooh I like these! I also thought of the "starter-type" team idea but not anything to do with status effects, friendship evolutions or NPC encounters. :') And I love the ideas everyone is having about getting X number of bikes, or having X number of pokemon in a team that begin with the same letter of the alphabet.
- Evolve with stone
- Catch 5 mons with the first ball
- Survive at 1hp (no endure or sturdy)
- Poison, paralyze, burn and sleep opponent.
- Full team poisoned
- Get crit two battles in a row
Here's a good idea for an objective: Get a party of 6 pokemon that share a type EXCEPT normal
And I imagine no duplicates, or else you can just catch the same Pokémon over and over again
Except water or maybe even flying
Beedrill and butterfree family be it
@@owenaspinall2046 except in most games a lot of water types are locked behind high level rods or surf
@@bobjoe3492 In Emerald you can get a full team just after getting to Dewford: Mudkip, Lotad, Wingull, Magikarp, Tentacool, and Goldeen.
"Have a pokemon survive on one HP" is a good one. It can either be a stroke of luck or a pokemon with sturdy in the later games
A Turtwig starter selection actually would’ve sniped +6 due to Withdraw!
Same for copy the grass gym team
@@matthewwomackk way too deep in the game, you need a Shiny Stone and that's locked behind Surf I believe
"go to an island" would be an interesting objective that gives a clear advantage to gen3
*starts SuMo* looks like I beat ya to the punch there, Brennan
Idk about that. In gen 2 you have the fighting gym on an island, or the Lugia islands.
@@jimmyh2137 in gen 3 the second gym is on an island if we're counting dewford as an island technically
Black 2 white 2 start on an island so idk about that
@@adoobiedoobie That's also somewhat of a technicality because you don't go to an island but start on one.
Some fun objectives could be
- Lose to a Gym Leader
- Use Metronome to beat a Trainer Battle
- Catch a team of Pokémon without overlapping types
Would love to see this type of challenge again
Objectives:
- Have a lvl 25 (exactly) bug type
- KO two pokemon with 1 move
- Catch 10 different normal types in the same game
- Evolve a flying type
- Have a pkmn with 2 different HMs
- Catch a dragon type
- Catch a ghost type
- Evolve a pkmn to the 3rd stage
- Use a Focus Sash
I'd like to see another of these but with points attached to each challenge, the harder it is the more points its worth, that way there are incentives to play a game longer and aim for bigger achievements for more points
First to X amount of points wins
Idea for a future objective: have a route 1 Pokémon fully evolve in three different games
RSE wurmples
@@owenaspinall2046 technically, that’s route 101, not 1.
@@Janders797 Ok so FireRed Rattata, Leafgreen Rattata, and B/W Patrat?
@@owenaspinall2046 I think Alola games have caterpie on Route 1, though I have no idea how long reaching them takes.
Similarly, but still different:
Pidgey evolves at lvl 18, Rattata at lvl 20. It might be faster for this, but I'd have to check the amount of EXP needed for these levels.
Your challenge and race ideas are always so unique and fresh!
I hope it stays that way when your channel gets bigger unlike other RUclipsrs who just repeat the same kind of content.
Awesome idea! Here’s some more suggestions:
- defeat a grunt from every evil team
- obtain a ghost type Pokémon
- evolve a Pokémon to its third stage
- hit a multi-hit move 5 times
- sell a Nugget to a pokemart
That was so much fun to watch! Would love to see more of these.
A few ideas:
Have a pokemon who’s entire moveset is TMs/HMs.
Defeat a gym leader using a different type of starter in 3 different games
Defeat an evil team admin in 2 different games
Evolve a pokemon to its third evolution
Evolve a pokemon using an item
Have a full party of pokemon that don’t overlap in types
This was such a good lockout! Would love to see more. The multi-game element was really fun.
Here's an objective. Light a cave with Flash
Pre vid: I have barely even started watching and the commitment to creating this is INSANE, but it looks so fun to play! When I have some time off I want to grab a bunch of cartridges and try one of these.
Okay, finished watching. Suggestions list at the end! (Long comment incoming.)
This looks so interesting! And it's adaptable too - a mini board of 4x4 (or 3x3) could make it more achieveable in terms of time. That said, options are important, so it's about balancing those with number you have to finish! maybe making a 'bingo' form where you have to cross out two lines could work? Or categorising your options, so that you will always have some 'late game' objectives in the list, some 'early game' ones and some 'broad number' ones?
I think it's possible that the late-game options being such a time investment discourages broader play and generally makes the challenge more difficult. By this I mean objectives like the Safari Zone one but also the much nicher ones such as Eviolite, maybe? To solve this, maybe there needs to be some goal tweaking to balance out your choices. It's like a civ game, almost, where you have to work out whether you'll be building Broad or building Tall to complete the challenge. Or both!
Finishing one game shouldn't be enough, else it would defeat the point of the challenge - but getting far through one game can take hours by itself and shouldn't be *punished*. As such I think some more explicitly Tall goals would be helpful, although admittedly it would incentivise both players to pick a game to "speedrun" and then touch upon the others.
If you continue with the "25 options, first to ~10" format instead of "first to a majority" though, this could work!
I've separated the suggested objectives into 4 categories, with 3 main ones:
- Broad (need to play multiple games),
- Tall (need to work hard on one game),
- Hybrid (can be achieved via either route or a mix of both),
and then One-Offs - honestly I just didn't know where else to put them.
Suggestions below, but definitely adjust the numbers as appropriate, it's difficult to arbitrarily decide and get it right when I don't know how long things reasonably take!
Tall suggestions:
- 5/6/8 Badges in the same game (however many works)
- Fully evolve your starter
- Use a full team of 6 Pokemon in a trainer battle
- Evolve the same pokemon twice (not a starter! another 3-stage+ pokemon)
- Have a HM Slave (one pokemon knows four HMs)
- Reach $20,000 in a game
- Collect an egg from the daycare
- Collect the master ball (this might be extra, admittedly)
- Encounter a roaming legendary (not traditionally "tall" and a bit luck-based, but it's incentive to get far enough to have the legendaries roaming in the first place!)
- Learn Fly
---- & as you already had... safari zone, pokemon contest win, so on.
Broad suggestions:
- Evolve a pokemon in ~4 games
- Catch a pokemon in 8 games.
- Finish the first gym in 6 games.
- Evolve a starter pokemon in 3 games.
- Have a pokemon with a neutral nature in 3 games. (Or whatever type of nature.)
---- & as you already had... collect 2 badges in 3 games, finish the first rival fight in 8 games, mons with a certain ability in 3 games, so on.
Hybrid Suggestions:
- Collect 8 badges total (adjust number as appropriate)
- Evolve ~8 pokemon total
- Win 30 trainer battles total
---- & as you already had... catch 30 total pokemon, finish 12 rival battles, etc.
One-off Suggestions:
- Make a 'starter types' team - 3 Pokemon, one for Grass, Water, and Fire.
- Hatch an egg
- Have a Pokemon with four moves all with the same Contest type - cute, cool, beauty, smart, tough. (Names and number of types vary across versions, I think...)
- Do a "special" evolution - item, stone, trade with an NPC, anything that isn't a level up.
- Catch a Ditto
- Catch any legendary pokemon
- Collect 3 items via the ability Pickup
- Have a pokemon with "x" nature.
---- & as you already had, use self-destruct/explosion, recreate a leader team, catch in ultra ball, put something in daycare, etc.
I can't think of any others off the top of my head, but I hope this is useful!
Wow, thanks for the kind words such a thorough response! I agree that balancing the broad and tall objectives will be something Acko and I try to do as we plan for future races, and I’ve noted your comment to return to when we start that process! It’s always hard designing a challenge for the first time, and clearly some of these were not balanced lol. But I’m so excited to continue these because - as you said - it’s super adaptable!
Lockout
Had a lot of fun watching this.
Hopefully I’m not too late, here’s a few I thought of, in line with the existing challenges
-KO a Pokémon without using a direct attacking move
-KO a Pokémon using Struggle
-Have 2 different entry hazards up
-Talk to the character that is currently the champion of the region
-Obtain an egg through breeding
-Have a team of fully evolved Pokémon in a one game (single stage doesn’t count)
-Use a 2 turn move
-Obtain and use a full restore
-Inflict all 5 main status conditions (can be done across games)
-Evolve 3 different Pokémon at the same time
-Revive a fossil
Though I’d like to see some challenges that involve committing hard to one game, that adds more of a speed running skill and layers of decision making to the lockout
Stuff that can be obtained like 2 ish hour into the game like
-Obtain badge #6
-Catch a legendary Pokémon
-Fully evolve your starter
this video was awesome, holy crap
- Have the same fully-evolved Pokemon in 3 games.
- Make a full team of Pokemon each hold a berry.
- Drink Milk. (Milk Drink move or Moo Moo Milk item)
- Trade a Pokemon with an NPC in 3 different games.
- Cancel a Pokemon's evolution until it learns a new move.
- Evolve an Eevee.
I remember watching this live, was incredibly close! Hope I can catch the rematch live too, really enjoyed this one both live and the video.
Objective suggestions:
Catch a Pokémon for every type (ignoring Fairy if pre-Gen 6 ofc)
Evolve a Pokémon from their 1st stage to their 3rd stage
Get 1 eeveelution from Kanto, Johto and Sinnoh, e.g. Vaporeon, Espeon and Glaceon (and Sylveon for Kalos if Gen 6+)
Go to a desert
Go to a mountain
Catch a Pokémon with a 1% encounter rate in that location
Obtain a Pokémon with a catch rate below 45 (which is the catch rate of starters)
Go to 50 different locations (note that the same location in a different game does not count)
Legitimately wouldn’t have done as well without you keeping track of things for me! MVP!
@@Rylockes Thanks! Being there in the first place was completely luck-based, though, so I'll be checking in case the date and time of the rematch are announced in advance.
Umbreon Espeon is awful.... Wait I can just start Colosseum 😂
Was amazing to be watching this live! For a challenge: Land an OHKO move.
Really enjoyed it,
Some ideas that came in mind while watching this video:
- Catch X (Type) total

- Beat X Gyms with only 1 Pokemon
- Get 4 HMs in 1 Game
- Beat the Villain Boss (1 or more? time)
- Encounter the same Pokemon X times in row (only 2+ pokemon encounter route)
same idea, some might be dumb but ye
That was fun to watch. Loved the Guts race.
Ideas for objectives:
- create a rainbow (water + fire pledge)
- Obtain three alternate forms of a single pokemon
- deal 5 multi hits
- obtain a shedninja through evolution
- obtain a heart scale/evolution stone/fossil from the Sinnoh Underground

- Rematch a trainer in 2 games
THIS IS NEXT LEVEL. And I love it. We need more of these!
Objective: Catch like 3 Pokemon who gets the fairy typing in gen 6 in 3 different games. Perferably in different generations
something to consider with doing this kind of bingo board in the future is to randomize the quantities of things. 5 rival fights might not take long with so many games making you face the rival very early, but up it to just 7 or 8 and suddenly it might take a lot more time to get one or two games through the first gym to reach the next rival fight.
part of the fun of lockout bingo is the scary long objectives, who was working towards them the whole time, or tried to get all the early objectives and win before it got to that point? if you dont want to do the long objectives, consider doing just 3 line bingo. maybe both players go for the same objectives or maybe they dont, the possibility of switching games mid run has potential for some big brain plays, i think
Always love catching a Rylockes video! Here's some ideas for future objectives:
- Catch Pokemon without a preevolution in one game and catch its new preevolution in another (ie Magmar, Magby)
- Use metronome and hit a status move twice in a row
- Catch 3 dog pokemon across 3 different games
- Catch an electric/flying pokemon
- Hatch an egg from the dragon field group
- Use splash four times in a row
- Oneshot a gym leader's entire team with one pokemon
I love this premise, and it isn't at risk of Nintendo taking it down (as they've done with PointCrow) as it's not a mod.
Some more ideas:
-Purchase clothes for the character
-Hatch an egg
-Max out a Pokemon's happiness
-Have a party of 4 starting with the same letter no repeats)
-Ride a vehicle in 4 games
-Catch a rodent Pokemon in 4 games
-Escape from a wild Pokemon without using 'Run'
-Lose at Game Corner
-Find a hidden item on ground in 4 games
That was a cool challenge!
Not to mention collabs are always fun :)
Some ideas for objectives:
-have a pokemon with 4 damaging moves, of different types, for which it doesn't gain STAB
-defeat a pokemon while one of your pokemons is transformed
-have 2 starters from different evolution families with the same moveset(4 moves each)
-use Protect/Detect successfully twice in a row
-get 2 dual-type pokemon with the same types but with inverse type order
-get a pokemon egg
-win a double battle in 2 different games
-get a Rock Smash encounter
-give one of your pokemons a treat(PKBlock/Poffin) or have them massaged
-use Hyper Beam or another recharge move
Some ideas for objectives:
-register 10 different Pokémon in the Pokédex in one game
-kill a Pokémon with poison outside of a battle
-evolve a Pokémon with a evolution stone
-catch 5 version exclusive Pokémon in 5 games
-have a party of 6 and every type is allowed only once in the party
if he caught a bidoof right at the beginning since it learns defense curl at level5 he might of won the +6 challenge first and win the board
Great Video Guys! But now I want to play. Who's brave enough to challenge me?
Catch one pokemon of each type in the same game could be an objective
It should have a balance between late games in one game objective and early game in a lot of different games objective, so you can choose what to prioritize what you think is faster, but still need to do a little bit of the other
A funny challenge! Quite enjoyable to watch.
Here are two objectives that you would probably hate:
1) Win a Pokemon Contest in two different games
2) Win a pokemon contest rank Super
And a funny challenge:
1) Witness an adult joke made by Gamefreak in a game.
"Catch your own mascot pokémon." sounds like a fun objective.
...assuming you have one.
This was cool!
Some extra ideas:
-Defeat 6 different types of gyms across all games (rock, flying, bug, etc)
-Teach 1 pokemon 4 different TM moves
-Have a full 6 pokemon monotype party in one game
-Collect 12 different berries across all games
-Have at least 1 pokemon of each type across all games
- Defeat every rival once (May, Gary, Bianca, etc)
- Catch pokemon in 6 different types of balls
Idea could be first to get a female starter. Plus going for machop in gen 3 would be clutch as it’s only ability is guts (no guard introduced in gen 4)
You also only get it after Wattson
Super cool idea :) I love the game hopping part of it!
Some ideas -
1. Create a team with 10 different types with 6 pokemon
2. HM master - teach 4 HM's to a single pokemon
3. Evolve a pokemon 2 times
4. Evolve pokemon using item
5. Hatch a pokemon
Yeah I'm gonna need some more of this.
Now make it a Bingo!!!
Ideas:
Induce Static, Poison Point, Flame Body, or Effect Spore in three games
Hatch an egg
Wipe with a full team
Ghost types in 2 games
Use dig outside of battle
Obtain a bike
Catch the same pokemon in 5 games
Possible objectives:
- Catch 1 of every Pokémon type
- Use a bike to Cycle over a body of water
- Hatch an egg in 2 games
- Have 3 party Pokémon with the same move (no normal type moves)
- Don’t evolve a Pokémon until it Learns a move past its normal evolution level
- Restore a fossil
- Beat a Level 30+ Pokémon
- Find and catch every Pokémon possible in Mt Moon
I loved this, please make it a series! Here are some ideas:
- Catch/KO the Box Legendary
- Encounter a roaming pokemon
- Catch 3 different regional birds (pidgey, hoot hoot, etc)
- Lose to the third gym leader
- Evolve a pokemon with a stone (fire, leaf, etc)
- Use/Encounter all weathers (rain, sandstorm, hail/snow, sun)
- Hit a 1HKO move
- Evolve 1 starter of each type (just to mid stage evolution)
- Get all 3 status conditions; Poison, Burn and Paralisis
- Get a critical hit in 8 games
- Catch 6 diferent bubg pokemon
- Get or Evolve Eevee
Here are some neat ideas
- Obtain a fossil
- Hatch an egg
- Use a rare candy
- Cancel an evolution
- Use an evolution stone
- Teach a Pokemon four HMs
- Reach -6 in a stat
- Knock off an item
This was so insane! I'd love to see more
“interact with 3 overworld pokemon” would be a fun objective!
Let me know your ideas for future objectives!!!
If you put ‘catch a shiny’ in one square it would make for a tense tie breaker.
Get a Pokémon of every type.
Get a fossil Pokémon in 3 games.
Catch dual type pokemon sounds fun
Defeat a Fisherman that only uses Magikarp, could be for multiple games or not. Wording might need some work
I think catch a Dragon type would be cool
Great idea, great execution, great editing... Amazing video! I had a good time :)
ideas:
Evolve three pokemon using stones
Lose any gym battle with six party pokemon
Discard a masterball
Have a pokemon with 4 HM moves
Defeat a trainer using only struggle
Check under the truck for Mew
Great challenge!
Here's some ideas:
- Have player character wear a alternate outfit (eg. in pokeathlon, Team Rocket suit in HGSS, in super contest)
- Obtain 3 bikes
- Teach 4 HMs to the same pokemon
- Catch 6 different pokemon of the same type (in one game)
- Catch pokemon with 10 different types of pokeballs (in any number of games)
- Have pokemon learn only status moves
- Beat 3rd gym in 2 games
- Encounter a legendary (does not need to catch or beat)
- Obtain the same pokemon in 5 games
- Trade with an NPC
- Battle villainous team grunt in 5 times
Off the top of my head, these could be fun to play
-Evolve the same pokemon in 3 different games
-Catch #25 in the national dex (could be any number)
-Hatch an egg
-Enter a cave
-Evolve three Eevees
-Take public transport (Cable Car, Ferry, Train, etc.)
-Pass on an egg move
-Get 3 ribbons on the same pokemon
-Use flash
-Teach a pokemon a move tutor move
-Evolve starters five times
-Find a hidden item/Use Itemfinder
Ideas:
1. Be the first to use a move that increases/decreases a certain type of moves power on the field (Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Mud Sport, etc) (Early - Mid game)
2. Be the first to catch a legendary. (Late game)
3. Win a battle with a type disadvantage at a gym. (Early game)
Great video! Love the concept, here are some objective ideas:
- Obtain 2 of the same TM (same game or different games)
- Use a move that is exclusive to 1 pokemon
- Catch a wandering pokemon
- Catch/Obtain a starter from a different region
-Have a level 30 pokemon that only knows splash
Ideas for objectives:
- throw 4 different types of pokeball at the same pokemon without catching it.
- synchronize your nature (have a mon with synchronize lead the party and then catch a pokemon that has the same nature).
- catch any shiny (gyarados)
- build a tetris piece of goals on the board (any combination of 4 goals that makes a tetris piece)
- be sound proof (see your soundproof pokemon be immune to a sound-based move)
- make and hatch an egg
- get 6 pokemon of the same type in any game.
Ideas:
- Release a fully evolved Pokemon
- Meet an Elite 4 Champ
- Hatch an egg you got from the daycare
- Defeat a Pokemon by using a 4x super effective attack

Oh my god, this was the best Pokemon race. Brilliant!
Some challenge ideas:
- Get a Clefairy Doll
- Catch a bug type in 8 games
- Collect all Pokemon natures in 1 game
- Wipe with a full team
- Hurt yourself in confusion 3 times in a row
- Defeat a pokemon with damage-over-time (burn, poison, etc)
- Get the Bike in 3 games
- Defeat a gym using only pokemon of 1 type (not Normal)
Objective idea: have a full team poisoned

Rematch a trainer.
Own 20 Pokeballs.
Acquire 8 gym badges in total.
Place a pokemon in one PC, and remove it from another.
Obtain the potion from your room in 8 games.

-change the nickname of a named Pokémon
- beat a first Gym without using a starter
-defeat a trainer using only not very effective moves
-use teleport out of battle
-catch a ghost type in 5 games

-get a whole team up to lv 20
-defeat all the trainers in 2 gyms

-make a secret base
-catch 3 pokemon with even pokedex numbers
Challenge ideas for a next time:
"Win an Evil Team battle in 2 games"
"Beat gyms of 5 different types" (With how many games start with a Rock gym this one could be very interesting, and would definitely weigh in favour of HGSS)
"Register Pokémon of all 18 types across your games" (No need to catch them, they just have to be in the Pokédex)
"Reach 15000 money in one game."
Team of 6 of the same Pokémon beating a gym leader
Have a pokemon suffering from 2 effects in a battle(status conditions/confusion and such)
This was so much fun!! Can't wait for the rematch.
Amazing idea, and the video is so well edited. Congrats
Love the idea, here are a few extra goals I thought of while watching
Defeat a rock type gym leader
Catch a pokemon from each generation (across as many games as you want)
3 badges in a (non)remake
2 Dual Type Starters
Catch Pikachu/Pikaclone
Full monotype team (all unique pokemon)
Catch a shiny (either the raw luck or going for one of the red gyarados)
Catch a pokemon with gender difference
Run Away in # games
Board A Ship (S.S Anne, Mr. Briney, Gen 5 Captain)
Evolve a pokemon with an item
Obtain Rare Candy in # Games
Evolve a pokemon from stage 1 to stage 3
If You Ever Expand the list of Games, Obtain a different game's starter could be an interesting one as you have the Kanto starters in X/Y and Let's Go, Sinnoh starters in Legends Arceus, and Johto starters in Colosseum all as valid options and you could decide whether or not Eevee/Pikachu should count as well
Goal ideas:
-Catch a Dragon-type
-Beat a Gym Leader out of order
-Use Struggle
This is an awesome concept for a race! Would love to see a timer to see how far yall are in!
Ideas for objectives:
- Evolve pokemon 10 times (not limited to a single game, nor limited 1 per pokemon: like caterpie)
- Get a pokemon with no attacking moves
- Play a game in the Game Corner in 3 games
- Attempt to steal pokemon 5 times in 3 games
Ideas for a future challenge:
- Catch a shiny
- Stone evolve a pokemon in 3 games
- Complete 2 in game trades
Ideas:
Early Game Ones:
-Complete a pokemon trade with an NPC
-Hatch a pokemon egg
-Use struggle
-Get 10,000 pokedollars
Mid Game Ones:
-Defeat grunts for 4 different evil teams
-Evolve an Eevee
-Use a weather-setting move
-Use Protect
-Catch a dragon type
-fully evolve a starter
Late Game Ones:
-Catch a non-box legendary
-relearn a move using a heart scale
-become champion
My ideas:
- defeat a major battle with only status moves
- defeat a Pokémon using destiny bond
- defeat a Pokémon using counter(.. Etc)
- use struggle on 2 different pokemon
- buy 322 pokeballs
- get 10 different natures
- beat the ace of a gym leader with a Pokémon half its level
- optain 5 rare candies in at least 2 different games
- cancel the evolution of the same pokemon 7 times
Love the concept btw.
Might comment some other ideas later on.
Some ideas for objectives:
Max out EVs on a Pokemon,
Catch the weakest Pokemon (statwise) available in the game (obviously pre-postgame)
Create a team with 12 unique types on it
Raise two pokemon to plus 6 in a stat in a double/triple/rotation battle without either fainting
Fill a Pokemon’s move slots with inly HM moves (you could count flash, defog and dig for this if you want),
Knock yourself out in confusion,
Struggle yourself to a blackout
Get yourself to minus 6 in a stat and win the battle without dying or switching that pokemon out,
Catch a single stage evolution
This video idea is genius I loved this thank you and him both for your time and effort wonderful run to both of you
Yooo Hopcat Smash Bingo + Pokémon + my GOAT ackotac + new RUclipsr recc fed to me by the algorithm = banger video??
1 of each (water, grass, fire) starters in 3 different games would be a fun goal
Some more ideas:
- Purchase a Revival Herb in two games
- Evolve a mon using an evolutionary item/stone
- Catch/Raise a mon with a x4 weakness
- OHKO a mon with a supereffective 4x hit
- Status effect random encounters using three of any status type (burn, sleep, paralysis, poison, freeze, confusion, love, etc) in a single game
- Have a mon with Compound Eyes in your party
- Catch two pokemon with a Sassy nature
- Receive a Premier Ball in three different games
Here’s one “defeat a Pokémon Trainer using only struggle”
Love the idea of a lockout between multiple games, here's some ideas:
Get intimidated twice in the same battle
Buy Soda Pop in 3 different games
Ride a bicycle from one pokemon center to another
Opponent gets an omniboost
Metronome calls a suicide move (eg SD, grudge)
Max out a move's PP
Your pokemon eats a pinch berry in 2 different games
Hatch an egg in 2 different games
Get 2 different colored bicycles between any two games
Lose to an evil team admin / leader
Teach an HM move to your starter in 2/3 games (lol)
Catch a pokemon with levitate in 3 different games
This was very fun! I think reducing the win count was a good idea. The ones left over would have taken forever to do.
-Win 5 Double Battles
-Catch a Dragon Type Pokemon
-Evolve 5 Pokemon Twice
-Evolve a Starter Pokemon Twice
-Catch a Starter Pokemon (Not a Gifted One)
-Have 4 HM Moves on One Pokemon
-Trade a Pokemon with an NPC/ in 3 Games
-Have a Team of 6 Different Pokemon of the Same Type
-Defeat 10 Different Trainer Classes
-Customize your Secret Base
-Catch a Ghost Type Pokemon
-Hatch an Egg
-Defeat 4 Gym Leaders in One Game
-KO One of Your Pokemon with Black Sludge
-Aquire 10,000 Pokedollars in One Game (amount might need to be adjusted, I don't know how long this would take, but I feel like it would lean on Pick-up)
-Use a TM you didn't get from a Gym Leader
-Use 2/3 TM's in 2/3/5 Games
-Use 10 TM's
-Have a Move Tutor Teach your Pokemon a Move in 3/5 Games
-Defeat a Normal Type Gym Leader
-Defeat a Rock Type Gym Leader in 3 Games
Here are some ideas:
1- 6 different types in one team
2- struggle once
3- trade evolve pokemon
4- lose to kakuna
5- double evolve the starter
6- encounter 5 different wild electric pokemon
7- oneshot wild pokemon with not super effective pokemon
8- buy repel
9- fail to run away
10- have exactly 69 pokedollars
This was a Very Fun Challenge you both did! Congrats to Your Opponent and I just Subscribed as I learned a few things. Great Content 😃
I have a few ideas:
1. Beat The Elite Four in three different games with at least 2 baby pokemon.
2. Beat 4 Gym Leaders in a game with Not Very Effective type pokemon (So beat Blaine with pokemon who are weak against fire)
3. Beat The Elite Four with a shiny pokemon.
4. Beat a Gym Leader with 4 pokemon and 2 Eggs.
5. Have a full team of pokemon that share the same colour.
6. Fully Evolve 12 Pokemon.
I know they didnt spoil anything but you could think about emote only mode when you do these in futire, just a suggestion
Ideas for objectives: (number ranges allow you to use slight randomness or adjust difficulty manually)
Survive a hit with 1 health remaining 4-6 times (shedinja doesn't count. Or does it?).
Revive a fossil pokemon
Get 10-14 total gym badges
Get a pokemon to level 30-50
Catch pokemon from 12-16 different types total
Cancel the evolution of a pokemon in 3-5 different games
Get a stat to +6 and then have your boosted pokemon faint in the same battle.
This version requires more strategy than a level 6 poochyena with howl as you have to find a way to set up on something strong enough to kill you, or waste tons of time for it to chip away at you.
Would be nice to put something on screen for showing who is what color, since it’s switching between perspectives. Maybe which game is being played at the time also
Some board suggestions:
-a Pokémon learns a move that they would be weak (super effective) against. Example, grass type learning a fire type move.
-Aquire a move type boosting item. An example would be like a Magnet or Miracle Seed.
-Teach one Pokémon at least 2 HM moves.
-Cancel an evolution
-Use a stat boosting item. Example Calcium.
-Use an Evolution stone
-Aquire a Laprus (since a few games will just straight up give you one at points).
-Use a special pokeball. Examples like Luxury ball, love ball, heavy ball, etc.
-Fight someone (can be even a grunt) from the main evil group of the game.
This is super smart challenge. I really like that you can use multiple games and I think that adds a lot of, strategy and creative thinking.
This was very entertaining and I was rooting for Ackotac the entire time
this was a super fun video!
- Collect 4 different berries in the same game
- Use an evolution stone
- Win a badge using only uneffective pokemon
I think things that could be done in one or several games have a lot of potential for this. Things like, 7 different berries, 5 fighting types, win 5 rival fights, defeat a certain number of villain trainers or areas, catch 7 different fishing Pokémon... That sort of thing.
I'd watch like one of these a day. I love bingo races, and this format is great. I don't know your life but I'm tempted to say you should host a tournament.
Ooo, evolve X Pokémon with a stone, or different stones even
Some amount of money over all the games would be cool too
Challenges further into games would be cool. Catch a legendary, beat a post game, duplicate a champion's team, evolve a few stone mons, hatch your own egg, catch a fish on all rods
Some of my ideas
-succesfully do 1 hit ko move
-collect n type of berry in n different games
-get a baby pokemon
-have a pokemon with full status move
-learn N tm
-win a pokemon battle with 10 less level than the opponent
-sleep / freeze a pokemon
-deal killing blow with weather damage
N: number
-learn
Objectives:
win 3 rival battles in one game
get frozen solid
obtain Master Ball (this one might take too long though)
use an evolution stone
catch the same Pokémon in 3 different regions
Here’s some challenge ideas:
-Catch a Pokémon with a perfect IV in a stat
-Catch a male Pokémon
-Lose a rival fight
-Have a Pokémon break out of 3+ balls
-Beat a gym with a Pokémon that’s weak to that gym leaders type
