rio's relation to hela is not what yall think. Rio is death itself, hela is just the asgaurdian goddess of death. hela is using powers from rio's domain
People keep saying Marvel has been dead after Endgame. And sure, it hasn’t been consistent, but let’s be honest, it never was. We’ve had What If, No Way Home, Deadpool & Wolverine, Loki, Guardians 3, WandaVision, and this. We’ve been blessed with things that, 10-15 years ago, we believed we’d never ever ever see in the MCU. I really didn’t think AAA would live up to WandaVision when it started, but man, I was blown away by this episode. This show keeps getting better and better.
To put the Rio/Hela thing into context. Death (Rio) represents the very notion and concept of death itself, the end of everything. She is the ultimate authority over ALL dead beings in existence, and is a cosmic entity akin to Eternity & Infinity (personifications of the universe). She is basically the big boss that rules over the collective afterlives of the Marvel universe and the very concept of living and dead. Characters like Hela, Mephisto, etc are like middle management. They rule specific domains of the dead that meet certain criteria (i.e. Hela only takes souls from the 10 realms). Death has ultimate authority and could kill all the middle managers in an instant if she needed to.
Yes!!..said the same thing. It gave me those emotions and feelings that I can't describe!!..the music and time traveling with this episode and everything else....incredible
Jen's character development tho 😭 On her first trial, she pushed Lilia to go out through the oven to save herself from the waters. And now she says "I'm not going before you" to Lilia 😭💔
@@The_Vaperion I would not be surprised if Agatha tries to sacrifice Billy for Nicholas and Jen is the one to protect Billy as she is "the Path Ahead".
When "Time in a Bottle" came on... ugly cry. What's even more beautiful is that Jim Croce wrote the song when he found out his wife was pregnant. He passed away before the song became a hit. The lyrics hit deep when you think about that situation and just how we never seem to have enough time with those we love.
Jac Schaeffer and the GREAT Patti Lupone SLAYED this episode from top to bottom👏🏾👏🏾 so beautiful but when I tell you I SOBBED all last night-I damn near got no sleep😭😭😭 their will never be another divination witch like Lilia Calderu👑🔮✨💛😭😭
If the black heart represents Billy, then that means Rio was never supposed to be on the road. It was only a cosmic entity on the ride to collect bodies.
I honestly think rio couldve just showed up without being summoned. But since she has a relationship with agatha she saw the summon as an oppurtunity to get close to her coven and hopefully convince them to kill Agatha for her since she cant do it herself
We started this episode watching Lilia falling with fear in her face and then she was embracing the fall, literally... finding her confort. Amazing well written and executed. EMMYS!!
Yeah I feel a lot of people don’t realize it but with Death being confirmed in the MCU, basically that opens the door for Eternity, Infinity, Master Order, and Lord Chaos to appear as well at some point. Same with Oblivious and the living Tribunal
Actually in comics Thanos is in love with Lady Death, not Hela. And Lady Death rules of Hela and all others, Hela reports to Death and not the other way around
The fact they didn’t answer if he was Billy or William is left unanswered. In the comics he is Billy Kaplan. This would be a combination of Billy Maximoff and William Kaplan. Notice how teen says he already has a mom he’s not claiming Wanda as his mother claiming the regular human as his mom because he didn’t really remember anything prior to Billy inhabiting his body. There were still remnants of William, but there is also the soul of Billy
I think the morgue trial that's shown in the trailers is his trial; he is the only one that 'died' technically as far as we know... it will probably be him remembering his life before and trying to find the balance between william kaplan and billy maximoff.
I loved this episode so much! The cuts are perfect, the bread crumbs of Lilia’s burst through the series all get picked up! And we really see her shine! Oh, and yep, there was enough hints through the series about Rio (she was on the neighborhood when summoned cause she was there to pick up Sharon’s soul, and thus why she appeared in her grave)! I love it. (And that’s why Rio hate ghosts, cause they are dead people that circumvent the cycle, as they didn’t go to her after they died!)
13:00 YOU ARE INCORRECT! Thanos NEVER feel in love with hela. You are confusing, hela with the actual lady death. 2 different ladies. In the comics, thanos fell in love with the actual aspect of death, so in this case "Rio". Hela is an asgardian who rules a realm called hel. Death is a cosmic being. Hela is an asgardian.
Like some people said, Hela isnt techincally Death with a capital D, I always heard that Thanos fell in love with Death, the primordial force that be represented with a skull on top a human body. I think THAT'S who Rio is supposed to be
Love the reaction, BUT You did get it confused Thanos fell in love with mistress death (rio) not Hela also hela is in control of the dead only in Asgard, but mistress death controls death across everything she has no limits.. mistress death is the personification of death so in that case like a moon Knight she is the higher power over hela, hela is like her avatar.
The thing that told me who she is was her name, rio vidal translates to roughly river of life or vitality. Also mistress Death has a notoriously macabre sense of humor
Thanos falls in love with Mistress Death one of the oldest cosmoc entities, Hella is just the asgardian goddess of death,Mistress death is literally Death
I remember when I first saw this Hannah from Bly Manor came to mind but I want to give credit to Manic Meeks reaction channel for reminding me that Nell of Hill house went through the very same thing. I had completely forgotten about it. ❤❤❤ Love y'all
To be clear, Hela in the comics is the Asgardian goddess of death. Hela is not the pan goddess of death, she is but one of the goddesses of death. I mean Magick is the ruler of Limbo so she can go toe to toe with Hela. Hela does not command death. Thanos was not in love with Hela, he was in love with Death. Death never returned that love so Thanos snapped half the universe to try and woo her. Death actually was more enamored with Deadpool.
And also now I realize why Agatha and Rio both said “you can’t kill me” Agatha can’t kill Rio because Rio is death, but also Rio can’t kill Agatha because Death isn’t supposed to kill people, only collect the bodies. Before then I thought they were saying witches can’t kill witches, which we’ve seen before, so I was a little confused but had no other information 😂😂
I would say hela rules a verison of hell in the marvel canon comics,of course not all versions. quote-in Norse mythology, Hela rules over the Norse underworld, also known as Helheim: Hela rules over the underworld In the comic books, the Asgardian king Odin (Thor's dad) appoints her to rule over Hel, a dark underworld-like hell, and Nifleheim, a sort of icy purgatory. She often tries to extend her rule to Valhalla, a grand hall in Asgard where souls who died honorably reside.Apr 10, 2017
Hel (pronounced like the English word "Hell")is a region of Niffleheim, one of the Nine Realms. It is one of the many realms of death across the cosmos making it the final resting place for the dead for the Nine Realms. It is presided over by a fearsome goddess Hela. Occasionally, it’s also referred to as "Helheim".
So you think that all my witches is coming back in the end because I love me some Alice, and in the beginning, I thought that a witch was going to die every trial. we have two more episodes so Jen could die or she could not but I think that Agatha is either going to sacrifice herself. She’s gonna wish for witches to come back they defeat death and wicken uses his reality warping powers.
So is Rio the representation of earths version of death as well as for on other planets she can take the other faces but this is her true form. She can be in multiple places at once… which means its a bunch of Aubrey plazas all over the place which I am totally down for cuz I would love a million Aubrey plazas Kevin feige please
@@Kidapollo92let me put it like this hela reports to the big boss downstairs which is Aubrey Plaza. So in even simpler terms hela fake Aubrey the real deal like can control life n death, like all mighty, all powerful grim reaper type of death. Like works with the literal god of marvel type of death.
Unless proven otherwise in the finale Rio is THE Death. She is Death incarnate. She is the concept of dying and decay given form. There are no alternates of her. She can exist anywhere she wishes to and can take on her whatever form she desires. She is on the same level as Eternity, Entropy, and Infinity. She is of the same class of beings as the Phoenix Force and Galactus.
rio's relation to hela is not what yall think. Rio is death itself, hela is just the asgaurdian goddess of death. hela is using powers from rio's domain
Not even that. Hela's power came from Asgard. Death has true power over Life and death. Just thinking of you dead would instantly end your life.
Not even that. Rio is literal Cosmic Being. Hela is just holding the title as 'Goddess of Death'...
Hela was the goddess of death as in killing .
Rio is like , taker of souls
You made all this up dawg. It’s not something we’re supposed to think all that hard about. The writers play fast and loose with these type things.
Basically correct. The comics explain the relation between the cosmic being Death & the other beings who derive power from death.
Cant believe MCU able to make an original character to be one of my absolute favourite. Lilia and her story is genuinely one of the best things in MCU
