I want so badly in season 5 a scene with Ted seeing the monsters first hand, and gearing up with trashcan armor and taking them on. That would be the best redemption arc imaginable and it will be devastating to me if they choose not to go with this idea, or something like it.
Tbh I want the whole family to like have some kind of role The mom has the most chances to have sorta major role in S5, and if Ted sees and learns all about these monster stuff it'd be interesting to see how he'd react.And tbh Nancy and Mike need someone, Nancy is literally doing this all alone,like she's taking care of Mike as well as herself,need the parents to do something.

i think he gets a lot of undeserved hate. i think hes a pretty good father, he is stable, attentive, calm, doesnt take himself too seriously, provides well, seems to be around his kids often. maybe he lets karen do the most of the emotional work because he knows she is better at it and the kids respond better to her. but i dont think he is the absent useless father they make him out to be.
This clip shows that he said bad things about Michael and he does let Karen do all the work that's a lot of pressure on her he's very neglectful he might not hit them or be a drunk alcoholic but this can still affect them by being emotionally neglectful (my opinion by the way)

Ted gives off the vibe that he would've been a better father if he had kids when he was younger. Because he acts like a father who's kids have already grown up, moved out, and started they're own lives when in reality his oldest hasn't even graduated yet that I know of. On another note, considering him and Karen have three kids, one almost graduating, one starting high school and one starting kindergarten. I would not put it past Ted to be a monster in the bedroom, it just takes a few years to build up the required energy.

Just you wait till season 5 when at the last minute Ted will come thru guns blazing like Agent Porn Stache from Season 4, and take out that General dude and his private army to the shocked look on Eleven, Mike, Nancy, Holly and his now moist wife. He just looks at his son and says with a smirk on his face “A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.” and gives him a fatherly wink. After another time lapse a la "A few months later" and they defeat whomever is behind it all in the final episode, we will see a quick shot of where everybody ends and a shot of Mrs. Wheeler pregnant again with Holly listening with her ear pressed on her mother's belly and Teddy enjoying his chicken, ending with a "blink and miss it" camera pan across their house with picture of Ted's awarded a "Distinguished Intelligence Medal" or "Intelligence Star" from the CIA.
Who wants an interaction between Vecna and Ted: Picture this, Ted just falls asleep in his armchair while Vecna is in his house breaking and terrorising it and everyone to pieces and Ted doesn’t wake up at all and Vecna goes 😱
