  • Corey of Sky's The Limit Car Care goes in-depth on how to perfectly use CarPro Reflect. He provides tips on application, how much product to use, speeds to use, wipe-down steps, and more!
    Developed to complement the CQuartz line of nanotechnology coatings, CarPro Reflect is one of the most advanced finishing polishes on the market. With a proprietary blend of fine rapidly-diminishing abrasives and sophisticated nano-abrasives, Reflect quickly removes holograms and light wash marring, revealing an intensely glossy finish. Tested and honed by detailers all over the world, Reflect has all the features that both hobbyists and professionals desire: supreme ease of use, fast working times, zero filling or masking of defects, consistent results on both hard and soft paint types, and a highly reflective mirror-like appearance that subsequently earned the polish its name.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  2 года назад +1

      Hi Joe, thanks for the question! Well, the DA use should have zero affect on getting paint chips. Purely coincidental. It could be that you notice them after you use your DA because some polish gets into some tiny existing chips and the white residue makes them stick out more. OR just that once you get the surface all shiny then there are no swirls to camouflage the tiny chips and they become more visible. Other than that, I can't think off anything.
      You are correct that the UNO1 must be removed in order for a ceramic coating to bond. If you would like to ceramic coat it then I would wait until it is near the end of its life and then give the surface a good decontamination, light polish with Reflect, Eraser panel wipe, and then Coat.

      @SkyCarCare  5 месяцев назад

      Hi Jacob, great question! For sure, you can use it by hand and as you said it is going to be more work for less results however you can do it. As far as tips go:
      1. - Work a smaller area than with a machine. By hand you should stick to no larger than 1 Sq. Ft. area at a time MAX.
      2. - Select either one of our ergonomic foam applicators with the handle OR the Microfiber Madness Waxing Moon Deluxe which works very well, or even a microfiber towel like the Yellow Fellow.
      3. - If using a towel like yellow fellow then keep it flat and folded nice and flush with paint. Never let it bunch up.
      4. - Use even pressure
      5. - Use far faster hand speed then you would with a machine.
      I hope this helps!
      Best,
      Corey

    I’m wondering if I can use the Carpro Reflect Polish as a first step preparation of the paint of course after a proper decontamination with Reset Shampoo, Carpro ultra fine soft white clay bar with Nv Purify.
    My question is, is it a good idea to do the Reflect Polish first and then do the Carpro Essence as a primer for the CQuartz UK 3.0?
    Do I use Carpro Eraser after Essence the same way I use it after Carpro Reflect?
    And what pads to use for both polishes if you recommend both?
    I have DA polishers and plenty of pads including Scholl soft black waffle and Scholl orange pad and scholl orange spider pads.
    I would really appreciate your prompt response as I’m trying to organise time to do ASAP.

      @SkyCarCare  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Sam, great questions! If you use the Reflect (which is a great option) then there is NO need to use Essence Primer. The word "primer" can be taken out of context. Essence DOES leave something behind that adds gloss but will NOT make the coating last any longer. I would choose either Reflect OR Essence. Both will make the paint very glossy and you can't lose either way. If you are just prepping the paint and not trying to remove anything more than micromarring then go with the Neo Honey spider pad. If trying to remove some swirls then move up to a more aggressive pad. If the swirls are deep then you need more than reflect or essence.

      The car is brand new and after I washed it I didn’t see deep marring or scratches or swirls.
      Can I use the Scholl Orange Spider Pad with Reflect instead of Scholl a Honey Spider Pad?
      Is the Honey Spider Pad softer than the Orange Spider Pad?
      Which one suits best for this type of application?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Sam, I wouldn't say they "recommend" essence as a primer but they refer to it as a primer because it leaves a layer of Sio2 behind when applied in that manner. When we first launched it I wrote the wording like that for CARPRO for a variety of reasons as we were launching it at SEMA and its great for describing but I didn't mean to give the impression that it makes the coating last longer.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  2 года назад +1

      Thank you so much for the kind compliment! Yes, it does expire BUT the time depends on how it is stored. For instance assuming the lid is closed between uses and it is kept out of sun and in climate control (Between 35 ~ 105 F) then you can expect 2 ~ 5 years. The date of manufacture is listed in Day / Month / Year so you can add a minimum of 2 years to that date for expiry if stored on the more extreme sides of 35F ~ 105F. If it Is stored REALLY well like 55F ~ 80F, then it is possible it will last 5 years.

    • @SkyCarCare

      Hi Karthik, that all depends on the type of paint, what machine you use, the method in which you polish, what pad you pair it with, and your environment (humidity, temperature, etc). CARPRO Reflect is one of my absolute favorites for most conditions. Scholl Concepts S30 is VERY versatile regardless of all variables. CARPRO Essence is probably the glossiest overall (it is a hybrid with both ceramic and abrasives). Finally, if polishing with a rotary machine and skilled at it, then Scholl Concepts S40 has the finest abrasives of anything on the market for the glossiest true finish.

    • @SkyCarCare

      You can lightly polish. But it will take more time and wont be as affective as using a machine. It's possible, but be prepared for a lot of work. Great question Dooson! Yes, after polishing it is recommended to do a panel wipe (CARPRO Eraser) to remove any trace mineral oils left behind by the polish. While Reflect does not contain any durable fillers, it does use mineral oil as lubricant and its best for your sealant to bond direct to the paint for longest durability.
