I didn't drink last night, I told myself I would start with sober Wednesdays, and try to expand from there. Drinking to much is really wearing down my body. It's probably been a couple years since not even one beer a night, I would have to be sick, or so hung over not to. But it wasn't that difficult, and I didn't feel bad, or sick. I tapered off on Tuesday night. So I wasn't hung over & hurting "for hair of the dog" on Wednesday. I just need to keep it up & expand the plan, try to appreciate the gift of life more, and basic health! Thanks for the great vids, keep it up & God Bless!

LD the way you expressed the boys crying hit me. I remember worrying so much about how my being sick would affect our kiddo as well. What I learned was kids have wild imaginations & tell themselves some crazy things.. or imagining the worst. What we think we’re protecting them from or by not telling them (in their age of understanding) what’s going on could end up doing the opposite.
You are the parent they relate to the most. Do some research maybe on how to tell them in their language what it will look like going forward.
Somebody would have a migraine when I was little & I pictured her head growing big.
I know u got this … just the release for them was overwhelming ❤❤❤❤.

My non- alcoholic sister had a non functioning pancreas and had to take multiple enzymes before eating. She managed it very well for many years in addition to having thyroid issues and muscular dystrophy for many years. She lived to 83 with diligent management.

@@liverdisease-qb6rk The enzymes were very expensive but I can tell you from my career job in the health insurance industry that SOME drugs can be gotten at a major discount directly through grant programs from the drug manufacturer.
I sincerely got love for you man. The thought of hugging your kids and crying got me crying. Love you dude seriously. We share that same struggle and it's a struggle. But our kids are worth it man.

What's up, LD? It's cool you film our there amongst the Southern Pines. You are doing really well and I am glad that news was good. I think the results haven't sunken in because it's a miracle you are still with us. For that I am glad. Are you insulin dependent now? So your pancreas cannot split fats now? That will lead to steatorrhea and gut trouble. It would be hard for me to give up fatty food and I have high triglycerides and elevated cholesterol, so I am trying to watch it. I am no doctor, but the lorazepam (Ativan) was important to keep you from having seizures. You got a good message. Especially for people that need or want to quit drinking.

Disbelief, second guessing if you heard the doc right, your guard is still up… let it be. It’s ok not to b ok or have the words. You’ve been on a mission to live and letting up on the gas is foreign to you.
It’s also called ptsd. I’m writing this before listening. Also, this is the time you find out who truly loves every part of you unconditionally…. Stick with them ride or die. Keep what u need, distance yourself from those who weren’t with you or support you through this.

13:27 i disagree slightly. You did quit on your own. Remember you had that 4 months when you thought you were home free. You stopped drinking in that time. The cirrhosis realisation came later.
Strongly suggest AA. You need the support of other alcoholics. I can’t stress this enough.
This week has been hard I hear you say sometimes you get depressed well I have a lot of that lately just got back from Emory to have my varices looked at as well as lower gi which they left the upper varices alone not ready to band but the they saw diverticulitis in lower which I said I bleed for 6 days goes I couldn’t get anyone to loo look at it. Emory finally got to it and said that’s where the blood which has stopped for now was coming from from that. He says if it does it again part of my colon would have to be removed because the pressure in my vein in liver was under so much pressure that I bleed very easily. I say all that to say some times I’m just tired of being tired and hurting. You have been a blessing that i stumbled on I thought I was the only one who messed up life so I just get depressed some days are better than others. But I have a hard time just moving on. There is so much to say but I’ll spare you all of it. But finding you here let’s me know I’m not the only one. I lot of the symptoms and emotions you go through is exactly the same as mine. Keep doing what your doing I know having you on here let’s me know there are people just like me just trying to get through another day. God bless you my friend. Even though I’ve never met you I still call you friend.

LD, I know exactly what you’re trying to say about your good news-I feel the same way about some news I got on Wednesday! Remember I just had the pancreatectomy and splenectomy 3weeks ago, so I went in to have the staples removed. The biopsies they sent in resulted andddddd (drum roll) .. I’m cancer FREE! I had a blank stare the rest of the day when I got the news 😂. CONGRATULATIONS 🎉!
PS, are you taking CREON (enzymes) with your meal? You might try them- on my research I discovered that A LOT of normal ppl take them just to help clean their system clear! Can’t hurt might help 😉😉🙌🏼?

Every person that I've ever known who have gone through what you're dealing with were so scared, and later they recovered, YAY! But guess what? In about a two year time they went back to drinking and died very shortly after. We all prayed for those people to get well, and God healed them, but Satan comes to steel, kill and destroy. Don't give him the victory, you have people who love you!

I’m so happy to hear of the good results! Have they ever discussed taking enzymes with more fatty foods? I once was in a long term relationship with a guy who has Cystic Fibrosis. He couldn’t process fat well so he would take enzymes before he ate any fat at all. Maybe worth a shot asking your doc about it, on the off chance you’d like some wings or something fatty like that?🤔

7:25 Gotcha bro, I've have a long history of alcoholism on my paternal and maternal sides of my family. Many have succumbed from primary and secondary medical reasons to the disease. I'm 60 and I've been drinking 🍸 for 45 years with maybe a total of 7 years of sobriety. We have multiple reasons why we continue to consume alcohol.
Approximately for continuous 25 years, 80% of my food intake has not been processed foods; have continually taken certain vitamins and minerals. Daily drink 80 oz of filtered water with minimal exercise. Soo far I'm ok. Thank you for your videos. ❤ That's just a brief synapses of my life.
LD you are so awesome thank you for sharing honestly about everything and being honest. Most.people that only drink occasionally on holidays or girls night out will never understand. For us it is one day - sometimes one hour at a time. Hi everyryone thank you all for your support I love you a d we are a family! . Me I'm still struggling - I can go days or weeks with nothing.
