Started like 5 years ago getting rid of stuff that was just sitting around from 30+ years of a photography career. It was a blast as I gave most of it to younger photographers who couldn't afford to buy equipment but where very talented and wanted to learn. I have a very simple list of equipment now and I've been so more organized and know exactly where everything is. I also use a method of buying something new means I have to get rid of something old especially clothes. Less stuff means less stuff you have to manage. Great video thanks for sharing.

Thank you Peter McKinnon, for introducing me to Matt D'Avella and the concept of minimalism. I have watched a bunch of his videos ever since seeing this video 4 days ago and have decided that the minimalist life is the life for me. I like the idea of being free of clutter and unnecessary things. So I am slowly decluttering and getting rid of things that I thought I "needed" to have around, but ultimately did nothing for me except for take up space. I feel so much more free. I am slowly working towards only having the essentials. Thanks Matt and Peter!

I don't have a desire to be a minimalist, but I think there are good ideas within the philosophy to consider. Asking yourself good questions when evaluating what you need is great advice. Another good point from this video is that your needs change over time. So true!

I remember reading a book on minimalism back in 2012 and I've always wanted to try harder to be more of a minimalism. I've gotten better at it over the years, and moving multiple times has certainly helped as well hahaha. I lose more and more stuff every time I move.
