Welcome to Mel and Syd's, a livestream viewing of wild Barn Owls in Owlceanside, CA.
We currently have a paired couple at the Kastle. The male is Melbourne (Mel) and his female mate is Sydney (Syd). They recently successfully raised and fledged 6 healthy Barn Owls into the area. On 4/14/24, Mel and Syd reunited in the Kastle. On 5/1/24 at 12:39pm PDT/OBT (Owl Box Time) Syd revealed that she had laid Egg #1 of Clutch #11.

⚠️⚠️⚠️Interested in MODERATING???: Kanga and his current team of chat moderators are looking for volunteers who have an interest in joining our moderator team.
We're looking for moderators who are willing to do the following: Promote positivity in chat, provide information to chatters (if available and known), possess patience, document activity, have good communication skills, and have good computer tech skills.
We will provide supportive training. Newly appointed moderators will initially be in place on a trial basis. Possessing a good understanding of Barn Owls is important and being familiar with Mel and Syd's history will make your job easier. Our chat room is open 24 hours/day, so we're looking for availability day and night. We appreciate those who are willing to take on this type of commitment.
