Any explanation why everyone is using Lee pots? Lee has horrible products, of course they are cheaper than the other options. Only thing worth using is Lee carbine pistol dies everything else is garbage
If you hold the jig with the eye with a pair of hemostats when you dip the jig into the powder paint, you will have very little paint on the eyes. Als a good tool the "break" up the paint on the eyes is a pair of split ring pliers. The little knob that spplit the split ring fits right into the hook eye. Then simply squeeze and twist a bit and the uncured paint will crumble off.
I have this mold and can’t get the keeper to fill not matter what I try. Called Do-It - not very much help. All they would say is not a defective mold, and said it is a known problem - “just keep trying”. Any thoughts? Heating mold didn’t seem to help. Thought about grinding to keeper a little bit larger???
@@MattLunaFishing yeah I called Phil's and put a post on my Facebook page trying to get somebody to sponsor me I don't get paid until the week after! Worked at ups for 20 years up here and had to have shoulder surgery was a setback! Aba at Shasta tomorrow and Bam next month!
Great video as usual Matt! What's your opinion of the bait keeper? Looks like it would be weak. Surprised they didn't make it to include their wire keeper.

Make sure everything is hot. Lead, hook, mold. If that’s all good, try spraying Blaster Dry Lube into the mold. That can help sometimes.

@@MattLunaFishing those were some nice bags!
The guys caught em. I struggled and ended up having to DQ myself on day 3. I messed up and had 6 fish after checking in.

The keeper is fine over all. If you leave it unpainted, it will move, but once painted it’s much more sturdy.
I think the wire keeper may fit in the mold the way it is, I’d have to play around with it to see
Great mold for sure great video
Thanks for watching!
