I thought I was going to learn something mind-blowing new for those who need to follow a diet low in saturated fats due to raised cholesterol. There is nothing new here that we are not already doing.
Even when following a suitable diet for raised cholesterol, it doesn’t always work when it’s down to genetics.
For those who are not happy about taking statins or have a reaction with them; consider speaking with your Doctor about fenofibrate as an alternative.

I wish my doctor hadn't told me I have high cholesterol. I am now on this diet. It leaves me starving. I'm already underweight and I don't want to lose more.

@@FlameGodFlann I've been reading quite a bit on these diets. Unfortunately most are vegan. I'm not anti meat. I've tried vegan meals. They're not great.

Found this video very helpful. I'm going to choose a more healthy diet rather than taking any form of statins of which consists of nasty side effects. I recently was prescribed Pravastatin as my chloresterol increased from 5 to 6.5 which after taking them for four days caused me chest pains and pains in my back and from my groin down to my feet. I was taken to A&E and later asked the doctor to dispose of the tablets. It was the most frightening experience I went through. Try the healthy option instead.

I wish we had health info on food packages in the United States like they do in the UK. Those seem very straight forward

Just diagnosed with high LDL. Don’t want statins so trying diet and lifestyle changes (although me diet is already quite healthy). Hoping that getting more exercise and adding the recommended items to my diet will help. BTW is that the Milton Keynes store?

I have three health conditions which make finding the right foods a bit tricky to say the least. I can't eat all the carbs I need because I'm Coeliac (wheat, barley, rye) but I can have oats at least. I can't eat all the calcium I need i.e. cheese, yogurt, milk, as I have high cholesterol, but I need these foods as I have osteoporosis. I can't win!

Great video. As a qualified Nutritionist, I completely agree that changing diet and lifestyle is a great way to lower cholesterol. I created few videos sharing my top foods to include to lower cholesterol naturally on my channel.

0:48. I am a bit worried about this ‘promotion’ of carbs because it will lead to extra sugar in the body, getting up the insulin etc etc . Cooking, cooling and cooking the pasta again could give, according to information I got on a TV doc, a changed molecular structure in this pasta which should result in less sugar…

i disagree on this one, why would you add anti nutrients to every meal? plants are full of anti nutrients that block out certain vitamins and minerals also when you are eating plants in high amounts you will be shitting on the toilet alot
