There is a concert recording of Pandit Ravi Shankar playing Shuddha Sarang. He explained at the concert where I was present that, according to the Senia gharana system, Komal Nishad is used in Shuddha Sarang.
@@tukushbanerjea Ustad Alauddin Khan was court musician to the Maharaja of Maihar and lived in that town for much of his life. He was taught by Ustad Wazir Khan Beenkar of the Seniya Gharana of Rampur. The Seniya musicians claimed descent from Tansen's daughter. That accounts for the name of Maihar Seniya Gharana.
Mr Wells ! Do you agree with the title “ Shuddha Sarang “ ?? . Are you sure this is what Khansaheb taught at AACM as Shuddha Sarang ?? Maybe you would double check and reconfirm for the benefit of music lovers ?!! Many thanks . Pranam🙏🏼
