The biggest crowd for Goose to date and they came to play! Unbelievable how GREAT this band is. We’re lucky to be alive to experience this in real time.
Amen to that!!! This some kind of modern day Beethoven❤
I couldn't agree more!
this band... so fresh!
shed a tear during 10:20 - 14:00. this Thatch is easily a top contender for jam of the year.
Though the one in Boston tonight, September 14, was up there in the stratosphere too.
Please please please put up that empress of organos. We need it.
Agreed, Was one of the best!
What a night
Evil Empress
That jam turned so dark, so many high fives happening out on the lawn as it was going down!
You’re gonna have to pay for that one Buddy
Thatch has come a long way since Rick wrote it only 4 hours before the Glens Falls Taboose show 🔥🔥🔥
This band has had an amazing year of growth and maturity. I don't know what Trey Anastasio shared with them while they toured together, but ever since that tour, Goose has been electricity in a bottle.
Well for one he gave Rick a Boogie Mark III amp (which is the model he played with Phish from the 80s until recently), and combined with the new custom “true” hollowbody he’s playing (again, similar to Trey’s Languedoc) there’s definitely a very similar tone to Trey’s now post tour.
Couldn’t agree more
@@literallyshaking8019 makes sense. Explains some of what I’m hearing
@@literallyshaking8019❤
Agreed. The "Treytorial" is certainly paying dividends.
I’ll never forget that 2nd set as long as I live!
100%
or the 1st for that matter...
goose is the best frickin jam band since phish hands frickin down.
Release the whole show!!!! Best goose show I’ve ever seen and definitely in the top 2 best shows from any band I have ever seen out literally hundreds of shows! The energy start to finish was so thick you could cut it with a knife. There isn’t another band right now that on this level of knockout performances every night. Their progression doesn’t seem to end….can’t wait for red rocks and Hampton coliseum!!!
The whole show is already on RUclips
Every version is the new best version. These boys are setting a lofty new bar and I'm here for it! Honk!
Burned SPAC to the ground last night!!! 🙌
Facts!!!
Yes they did!
True story 🪿
The sound. The lights. The rain. It was perfect
this made me lose my MIND last night. i’ll never get over it.
Damn, Tweekz is thumping that bass! 😍💘 The smile on Peter's face at the end of Rick's epic jam is the best!
Show 14 for me. First show was at Pine Creek Lodge in July of 2021. Every show I've ever seen I've left saying "that's the best show I've ever seen!" This one was no different, but the energy and the volume of the crowd cheering gave me chills throughout the show. I think we were all in awe over the love experienced in that setting. I'm sure that's everyone's experience at a Goose show. It seems to me this band is tapping into something with sound and light that transcends music. Is that just me?
Damn glad to be up front in the pit for this one, absolutely on FIRE 🔥
What a show. My new band to follow! Spac show was amazing....
My 5th Thatch and it gets better every time!
First time at spac last night. Was definitely the best show I’ve been to
Someone please buy their lighting technicians an ice cold beer.
The Frequency is just right! soothe for the soul keep on rolln
My second Goose show, first one since Taboose in Syracuse 2022. Great show from beginning to end. I especially loved "The Empress Of Organos" that night.
This was prolly the best show I've seen ever, period. They were indeed lightning in a bottle for this show - we were in the balcony section front and center and this absolutely blew our minds. Thank you guys!!!
What a phenomenal night of Goose. I was so glad to be there for this milestone show.
🐐 thatch so far
Show was electric! Got my factory! letssss gooooooose
Love it. Would love to see that killer Dripfield as well! Great jam!
This absolutely ripped last night. What an incredible show. Instant classic. That Empress was special too. Animal... I can go on...
10:00 is straight heat. shredding bass
This band just on 🔥. Don't miss a show
Goose is neat.
Straight perfection!!
Holy crap! They are on fire...
What a great show!
I'm sold. Fuck.
Dankness !!!
Right on brother
What a blast
The Spatch
Unprecedented how they reinvent their music nightly. No idea how they can continue at this pace, but I sure hope they do.
Huhwhat?
@@tumbleweedjones I listened to Thatch from a couple months ago, and I wouldn't consider a few minor tweaks to be "reinventing", that's a bit of a stretch. Goose is on the road continuously for this tour, so they don't have too much time to rework their songs.
I wouldn’t call it “unprecedented.” There are numerous bands that use their songs as opportunities for improvisation and offer different versions on a nightly basis. Goose is far from the first.
@@IronTeddyBear Just like at AA...... Keep coming ;-)
7:00 Ever heard of Grateful Dead?
Was there to witness this spectacle. What an amazing performance to take in. 🪿
I love Thatch but WE NEED THAT FACTORY FICTION! There has been sooooooo many versions of Thatch as of recent which is sickkkk but there isn’t a any recent live video of Factory Fiction (without Trey)
20:50 love it
Rick is so cool
Tequila!!!!
Wow can’t believe I saw Rick, you kids just wouldn’t get it.
anyone hear that monster Elizabeth from 4/28/23 in this jam
They can definitely play their instruments, but man they sound a lot like Phish. It would be cool to see them write more slow, deep, soulful ballots.
Still recovering from this.
Rockin .. the DeLuis is pretty ...but like the PRS HBII tone better ...
How much longer can the long hair Peter stank jams last
Rick Nastiness,🍄🤙🦢
Would some kind soul please help a new listener and provide a track listing?
Does anyone know what that new guitar is that Rick is playing?
it's a DeLuis
Crusty haters say Goose can't play big venues. SPAC should shut them all up. From Section 11, it was incredible.
10:24 🤤
People are saying Goose is the best band since the Grateful Dead. Must be true.
They are.
They are fun but that’s a stretch. Let’s see in a few years. They keep getting better so anything can happen. I think they have a bright future.
Oh for fucks sake just enjoy your band. Statements like this are why people rag on Goose fans.
Grateful Dead --->Phish--->Goose
amen
No way. Goose is much better than phish. Great song writers. Phish was lucky to be there when the dead's void was created and they built their tiny cult.
dmb was the true torch barer at the time. Then they lost roi and lost their way.
Why do we need to compare them at all? There is plenty of room for all of these bands as long as you don't let your own bias get in the way.
I don't see how these guys or the dead are even remotely comparable.
@@markcherone5411 @markcherone5411 music is subjective. thats cool u think goose is better than phish. Whenever i listen to these type 2 goose jams it really just sounds like a phish. The guitar tone and the way they peak... its sounds like how a ph cover band would jam if they were doing a "phish type 2 jam". Glad that u dig em though man. They got a huge turnnout for this show. Happy for their success. Cheers!
@@markcherone5411 Say less. Listen more.
It just sounds like watered down Phish, I rather just go see Phish.
Goose at spac, all the goose fans talking smac.... this is band has the talent! Yes, do they also have boring songs as well yes. So much marketing, so much effort in trying to be the next thing, by the fans...by whatever means necessary....jambands are about as cool as Rob drydeck...fantasy fun factory....over played, over hyped, unoriginal and constantly copying what the old original bands of the movement did
You're not wrong. That's my biggest beef with Goose. They're like a caricature of every hamband. There just isn't much that's unique or original about them. I mean Thatchbsounds like it couldve been ripped right out of the Phish catalog. The major key bliss jams, Rick's tone, overuse of the clavinet, etc. I get that bands will wear their influences but with Goose sometimes it's a bit much.
@@adamsensenig5750 totally dude! These guys dont have their own unique sound at all. Whenever i listen to these guys it sounds like shit ive already heard before. The heavy clav with the 4 on the floor drum beat... guitar player playing motifs that sound like trey.... then when its time to peak it sounds way too much like phish. They are a talented band with an unoriginal formula.
