Her Gioconda with Bergonzi is available on private label. She is the barnburner one hopes for in that role. Bergonzi is near the end of his stage career in this 1980's outing, but, as smooth and classic as ever. L obtained this 20 or so years ago. I believe Manuguerra is the Barnaba.
Savova sang only one performance at San Francisco Opera, einspringng for Eva Marton as Gioconda in 1988, and was I thought excellent in the role. I also heard a rather generalized but capable, well-sung Tosca at the Met in 1980, replacing Caballé. We could use more voices of this caliber today!
