The Mangima Zigzag Road is located in Manolo Fortich in the Province of Bukidnon in Northern Mindanao. It is dubbed as the "Baguio Kennon Road" of the South.

Why Zigzag Road?
There are reasons why roads are constructed in a zigzag way.
1. Heavy vehicles find it difficult when moving on a steep hill.
2. Easier for vehicles to move up or down on a flatter road even if it's longer.
3. To reduce the speed of vehicles on a steep hill.
4. Natural disasters such as landslides can be prevented by building a curved road.
5. It is easier to control a vehicle on a curved road than a steep trail.
6. Vehicles will easily slide down and face serious accidents if the roads remain straight.
7. During rain, the roads can get slippery, and would be tough for vehicles to move in a slick way.
The Mangima Zigzag Road is one of Bukidnon's main roads to its adjacent province and towns requiring most of the vehicles to pass through it. However, a diversion road is currently under construction which will serve as an alternate route for vehicles.

Mangima is like a kennon road in baguio💙
itong mangima zigzag road marami ng reconstructions but it was never redesigned to eased the navigation of the cargo loaded climbing and descending trucks. .kinopya lang yong dating original na design nilaparan konti at concreted pero hindi nawala yong risk ng loose brakes when descending at overheating kapag ascending. .dapat noong nagfacelift ang dpwh kinopya nila yong design ng zigzag road going to gensan between the boundary of davao del sur at sarangani province located at municipality of malungon. .mas mahaba, has 28 curves at kasing steep ng mangima pero ang design ng kalsada truckfriendly both ascending ang descending. .madali lang naman ayusin at neutralize yang ang acute curves at steepness ng mangima road with minimal cost . .nakapagtataka yong mga involved engineers na mislooked nila ang easy way to make the road highly navigable. .ilang decada na nilang pinahirapan ang mga product transporters. .mabuti merong bypass na kalsadang ginagawa ngayon. .
Toughest challenge road. My dad and I, will escort my mom going to Malaybalay and Valencia Bukidnon. Especially my sister join on a vacation.
Sana lagyan yan ng road markings at street lights ng tga DPWH. Napa delikado po dyan dadaan pag gabi madilim lalo na kung umuulan halos hindi mo makita ang kalsada.. sana po masolutionan ang problimang yan.. salmat po
I want to have a ride and drive thru that road.. Some called it scary but since i am curiously being fascinated by that curve and stiff portions, i want to challenge myself bringing speeds up to 150kms..

Sa-una daghan diha ang gaka-balintung ug gaka-disgrasiya.
Hnd pwdeng straight ang road kasi magiging matarik at hnd na kakayanin ng mga malalaking truck at magdudulot pa ito ng maraming aksidente sa mga sasakyan
