I love how we are getting different interpretations of the force in canon. It's so realistic when compared to humans and how different cultures call the same thing such different terms and perceive them so differently. The force beng called the "life winds" feels like a native american and european distinction of the same thing.

If this is true it would be such a great layering. Abeloth entombed and her power, the Night Sisters feeding on that power cautiously, and the Zeffo being corrupted by it. All parties ancient by todays standards and all parties dangerous too. ❤‍🔥

Is there any possibility Dave puts in these little Easter egg details just for hardcore fans to find and go “hey look at that, that’s cool” rather than with intention of teasing further story points? Like, what if there’s nothing more to it and it won’t get brought up again

    • @anthonyyoutubefan7567
      @anthonyyoutubefan7567 Год назад +5

Dave doesn't work that way. The fact that he put the Zeffo Mech in Season 2 of The Bad Batch, and, now, he's got Zeffo imagery all over the Nightsister castle, means he's planting the seeds for something both in the present and the future. Just like the episode in The Bad Batch, featuring another Zillo Beast, isn't just a red herring. They all will cast both shadows and light on present and future stories. Remember how people thought The Purrgil were just an irrelevant waste of time? How'd that work out?

I thought of the Zeffo when they showed the over the shoulder shots of the "wasteland bandits" looking out towards Baylan and Emo-girl. The helmets look "samurai" inspired ( everything in star wars was originally "samurai" inspires) but they could easily be Zeffo affectations and referencing the game.

I mean, kujet is buried on dathomir and with the night sisters and the witch mothers all having a connection both places it makes sense. Seeing how they probably raised thrawns army of dead stormtroopers this would make sense that the mothers originally wanted to raise him back.

Kujet actually built a temple in dathomir. So that kinda explains that the zeffo & night sisters have known about each other from a long way back, since ancient times. They have probably co-existed for thousands of years until the zeffo's affinity to the dark side eventually led to their own demise. Maybe kujet attached his essence to something in pedridea before he died. Or maybe The Ones (mortis gods) imprisoned Abeloth in peridea. So it's possible what's calling out to Baylon is EITHER Abeloth, so she can be released, OR kujet bcoz dark side users are obsessed with resurrection/immortality (like palps). Regardless of who or what it is, both are formidable entities & can serve as the next villain after Thrawn is killed. But I don't think that'll happen until maybe Ahsoka season 2 or the Dave Filoni movie. Then they can re-establish Luke as part of the Mandoverse, bcoz he did eventually defeat Abeloth, but Filoni might retcon that, as usual.

  • @Jansenbaker

The symbols are just known as Sith because they were used that way in an old game. The most they meant there was gibberish for the most part, and a few times of repeating either a sith code, or a jedi code, I dont remember which.
They were originally just gibberish, made by Macquarie in his art.
Jedi: Survivor used them in Jedi High Republic meditation chambers.
It isn't one culture, or even meant to mean anything for most of its existence.

Just means the ruins left in all these places are ancient Zeffo ruins. Doesn't mean there is a connection to what ever power that threatens them. At this point they are two entirely separate things. The only thing you can refer in it is that the nightsisters really like occupying old Zeffo ruins where ever they might be.

I'm gonna tell you what's going on this other Galaxy and the reason behind it is so Dave feloni and John favro can do what they want during the same time line is the Daisy Ridley timeline without having to worry about rewriting it recording it or dealing with any sort of conflict with the Kennedy storyline

    • @anthonyyoutubefan7567
      @anthonyyoutubefan7567 Год назад +1

I'll bet that's one of the reasons, definitely. That's how much Bob Iger, Kennedy & Co. screwed up George's fictional galaxy...his protegee, Dave, has to create another, so as to have more space to tell coherent, quality stories with Jon Favreau. How much do We wanna bet, if this all ends up being successful, other writers will want to tell some of their SW stories within this other galaxy, or weave them in to both galaxies? I still say: Imagine how cool it would be, if, eventually there ends up being a conflict or war between both galaxies, with heroes, villains, and antiheroes on both sides?

I should point out though, that either way, this castle is likely 10s of thousands of years old. So, it isn't like it would suggest some new plot, if so. As much as I would love abeloth to be the next big bad going forward, I really don't think it's going to happen and there's 2 reasons for that. 1. Her design is way too creepy and disturbing for them to put that on the bigscreen for Star wars. They know well how many kids watch star wars. And 2. It would just be kinda out of nowhere with seemingly no build up or setup, and not to mention the countless people that are watching who have never watched clone wars or rebels. I hope I'm completely wrong tho! I would love abeloth to be in this I always thought she was really cool and terrifying. I wish she was the main villain in the sequel trilogy too

Dave Filoni does not take into account or consider the Novels, Comics and Video Games of the New Continuity as Canon

      @andrewwilson9123 Год назад +3

Dave Filoni didn’t create the character of Thrawn. He was originally a legends character who Dave Filoni adapted into canon. The Dark Troopers from Mando are the same. Not to mention the Yuuzhan Vong concept art, bringing Jango’s mentor Jaster into canon, and many more examples. He doesn’t necessarily consider those books/video games canon but he most certainly will pull certain ideas or concepts he likes from those properties into his stories, hence these theories

but Dave Filoni can Delete from the Canon anything as long as not movies By the way, bring more Legends Characters to the New Canon since I do want to see Starkiller and Mara Jade as Inquisitors and this time it would not be a Useless Inquisitors like the Others were because this time they would be more Interesting Also the Canonization of Legends Characters brings more Hype to the Fandom

Maybe kujet isnt a person but rather a place. Darth Scion was a person yet in this show Scion is a vessel. Perhaps the runes are saying the city Kujet was raised as in destroyed. Perhaps the runes are saying here lies raised city of kujet may HIS rule last for ever. Leaving the door wide open for something else entirely.

Ray Stevenson is the best actor in Star Wars since Sir Alec Guinness. I know a new generation grew up on Ewan's Obi-Wan, but nobody ever captivated me so well in SW since Sir Alec. Not one character has ever said such captivating words as this...
"For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times. Before the Empire."
Did Ewan's Obi-Wan ever say a legendary quote like that? This is why Sir Alec remains the only actor in a Star Wars film to ever be nominated for an Oscar. He didn't win, ofc. But he already did that for The Bridge on the River Kwai. Sir Alec was a classically-trained actor. He was in films like Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago.
As great as Sir Christopher Lee was himself, the calming nature of Sir Alec's Obi-Wan was so memorable from ANH. This is how I imagine Plo Koon would act like if he was in live-action and how he was in The Clone Wars series. And did you know Sir Alec did comedies? He portrayed like 8 different characters in Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949). That's Peter Sellers-like and 47 years before Eddie Murphy did the remake to The Nutty Professor.
"You never heard of the Millennium Falcon?"
    "Should I have?"
And of course, it was Sir Alec and not Ewan who first said the two most famous words in Star Wars: "Hello there."
"The Force will be with you, always."
    "Hello there."
Obi-Wan has the two best lines ever uttered in Star Wars. And I prefer, "the Force will be with you, always." Not may the Force be with you. Because he's telling Luke he *will* always have the Force with him. Having *may* is not as permanent as *will.*
My Favorite Acting Performances In SW

Perhaps I'm overrating Christopher Lee just a bit because I have great respect for him. He knew how to fence (a world champion at that) and he still did a lot of the lightsaber battles. He was 80 in 2002. Perhaps as time goes by, I would place both Ray and Sir Christopher below Ewan. Dooku only appeared in one SW film as he was barely in it in ROTS. JEJ and HF would move up..
For now, my top 3 are all actors who died. Already in Star Wars Heaven. Their souls creates a new star in our universe. James, Harrison, Frank, and Ian are getting up there in age. James Earl Jones is 92. The GOAT, John Williams, is already 91. Man, I miss Han Solo and not Alden's Han. Harrison portrayed him flawlessly. Remember, Harrison was the one throwing lines to the actors during the auditions. So he already perfected the character for Han.
Han was the Tony Stark to Luke's Steve Rogers. The selfish hero helping the selfless hero. But Han really did care about Luke. And it seems Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are always smiling big in photos together. There's still a great bond between those two after 46+ years. I would love to see a live-action short with Han crashing to Earth and meeting Indy. Another Spider-Man meme pointing at each other.
    The worst acting performances
    1. Moses Ingram
    2. Jake Lloyd
    3. Rupert Friend
    4. Domhnall Gleeson
    5. Kelly Marie Tran
    6. Gina Carano (she was pretty bad in Mando S1)
I personally didn't hate Rose Tico like other racist/sexist dudes did. But Kelly wasn't exactly great with her acting. I did feel bad for her for getting such hateful comments. I had no issues with Laura Dern's acting or her character. We forget Benicio Del Toro was in TLJ but he was pretty forgettable. Carrie's performance actually improved in the Sequels. She was at her best in ANH but sounded corny near the end of ROTJ.
The worst translation from animated to live-action comes from the Grand Inquisitor. Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022) is arguably the worst SW series on Disney+. But Moses Ingram takes the cake for me with her bad overacting and unnecessary background story. Worse than Jake Lloyd's terrible acting as a whole. Ahmed Best sorta redeemed himself lately.
Obi-Wan Kenobi series had some of the worst characters. Reva/Third Sister and a terrible live-action of the Grand Inquisitor who was so much cooler in Rebels. Young Leia was annoying although I didn't mind her except the running away part. Her dialogue was very uneven. One minute, she sounds 19. The next, she acts 6. Then we had Kumail's character, the guy committing fraud. Never even liked Kumail's Dinesh in Silicon Valley. Characters from Indira Varma and O'Shea Jackson Jr. were forgettable.
Why is Hayden so low? Because other than his performance in Ahsoka's Ep 5, he wasn't convincing to me being asked to be this Whinykan Skywalker by George Lucas. Hayden was awarded a Razzie for both AOTC and ROTS. I don't care if he's your favorite because Anakin/Vader happens to be your favorite, I've seen at least 29 better actors than his performance in SW. Had he not done so well in Ahsoka Ep 5, he probably wouldn't make my top 30.
I care about their acting and not how cool they can spin a lightsaber from behind their back like what Hayden and Adam could do. If that was the case, then Ray Park would be my #1. He's better at that than Hayden and Adam could ever be. Prequels were filled with bad dialogue and mindless lightsaber duels as eye candy for the kiddies. At least Hayden sorta gained points from me with a more masculine voice he used in Ahsoka.
As bad as Rey is written as a character, Daisy wasn't that bad in her acting performance. She can shed tears pretty easily. At least she made my top 40. Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead didn't. I'm still trying to get a read on Bruce Lee's goddaughter, Diana Lee Inosanto. Her Morgan Elsbeth is fine so far but she does portray her a little bit too 80s cartoony.
What Sequels fatally did was ruin the son of the Space Jesus. EU/Legends Luke is infinitely better than Disney canon. But they turned him into a joke like David and Dan did to Daenerys. James Earl Jones' commanding voice is who makes Darth Vader as charismatic as he is while wearing all black. Not David Prowse or Hayden.
"It would be an honor if you join us."
After the Force choke, "As you wish."
The voice of Mufasa just gives Vader that swag. Without James Earl Jones, Vader really is quite overrated and pathetic. I think Bane and Revan would smoke Vader in a lightsaber duel. And Sidious is really the most powerful character from Episode I through VI. Let's throw out Episode IX. That's why Vader, Tarkin, and Thrawn served him all those years. Sidious beating Maul and Savage in Rebels was badass!
My big omission in my top 40 is Giancarlo Esposito. I enjoyed Moff Gideon at the end of Mando S1 and S2. But after watching the cloning crap from S3, I'm totally fine excluding him in my top 40. I don't find Moff Gideon all that menacing or charismatic. I didn't feel he was ever a major threat. I like Giancarlo better in The Boys. I think Thrawn already surpassed Moff Gideon for me after one episode. Thrawn has more charisma. Lars is already ranked 11th. He can easily move up in my top 10 these next 2 eps.
"What was first just a dream became a frightening reality for those who may oppose us."
If I get Hans Landa aka The Jew Hunter (Inglourious Basterds) vibes from Thrawn, Lars Mikkelsen is no doubt moving up. I enjoy smart but slimy, scheming heels. Heck, I loved Cersei Lannister. And so far, Lars is portraying "the heavy" perfectly. Ahsoka is giving us two brilliant characters in Baylan Skoll and Thrawn. Love 'em both.
My biggest omission is really Fiona Shaw (Maarva Andor). And props to Adria Arjona (Bix Caleen). Many of the female characters in Andor were fantastic. Poor Anthony Daniels (Threepio). Didn't make my cut. He's my least favorite character among the protagonists in the OT. I read the late Kenny Baker couldn't stand him. That Anthony Daniels isn't likable. So he's not much different from C-3PO? We will see the unpopular droid make a cameo in Ep 7 or 8 of Ahsoka. Gee, I'm so excited. 🤥
Stories of Anthony Daniels being an ass but also super kind...
    www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comments/wh1zl3/can_someone_explain_the_dramasituation_around_the/
One of the best to ever work on Star Wars was Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca). He was very kind to the fans. I can imagine that was how Alan Hale Jr. (The Skipper in Gilligan's Island) was like. And Dawn Wells (Mary Ann). Peter really embodied Indiana, George Lucas' Alaskan Malamute. Anyone's best friend. RIP to OG Chewie.
The best SW fanboy who became an actor for it is Ewan McGregor. Remember, many of the OG actors didn't grow up loving Star Wars. It was just a job for them. Ewan naturally loved SW. His real life uncle portrayed Wedge. Ewan was 6 when ANH came out and would watch the OG Trilogy until the VHS tapes wore out.
As for the misconception that Sir Alec hated Star Wars? It seems he hated the dialogue from it. He did appear twice more for it after ANH. He seems to hate more of the fandom than the franchise itself. Considering Sir Alec did a picture like Lawrence of Arabia where it's being shot mostly in a desert, he didn't seem to have a problem working in SW's harsh conditions.
"An elegant actor for a more civilized age."
