Smartship Hub - Improving maintenance and purchasing by better integrating vessel data

If superintendents could more easily integrate data from different vessels in their fleet, they could potentially find ways to improve purchasing and improve maintenance.
This includes better understanding of how equipment is operating compared to other similar equipment in the fleet, predictive maintenance, and condition / health monitoring.
This can be achieved by better standardising machinery data and telemetry. The ISO standards ISO 19847 and ISO 19848 give useful help on how to do this. We’ll discuss how it can be done in this webinar, presented by Smart Ship Hub.
Having data standardised in this way would also make it possible to share data with other shipping companies. There may be reluctance to do this for commercial reasons, but at least we can find ways to do it technically.
Further - the aviation and road logistics sectors routinely share data between companies in order to share cargo capacity, carrying each other’s cargo. Can we imagine that shipping might be able to do the same one day?
