What I find most beautiful in this episode is that yes, green returns purple's wings, not as in "you can be an angel" but just as "I trust you with this". And later on, green vanishes both angel-purple and demon-purple and lifts up the real purple instead and forgives HIM and hugs HIM, because you don't have to be an angel to be loved; you are loved regardless, and that in and of itself will change the way you behave. That's also the reason why green wipes away the halo later, because purple is enough as he is.
"Are you trying to make your father proud?" - Exactly it. He's spent all this time 'chasing his father's shadow'. He always wanted to make him proud since his dad saw him as an utter disappointment...
Arguably the waving away of the angel and devil and the halo are some of the most meaningful parts of the entire video. Its green saying "you're not evil or some flawless saint. Your just...you. Your just our friend" Its more then just "I forgive you" its "I forgive you, not blindly, but because regardless of how other view you you are *our* friend" and I think that's beautiful. Its feels more powerful then simply forgiveness...deeper...but its hard to put this feeling into words.

Now we know why purple seemed evil because everything he did was to impress his (non-specific) parent. the dragon egg was an attempt. and king orange promised to help but betrayed him, so he was just running from his problems. I can't wait for episode 30 and purple confronting king orange after betraying him.

I finally see people interpretating this well, but in defense of Purple's father, he did not seem that "rude" as we see in the video he barely punched purple, it was mostly hold him, pushed him back, and one hit, the father probably was beat the heck out of by his father, so he was "soft" and even when purple was at the floor, he made posses of encouraging towards purple, as if he was saying, "come on son you can improve, just try it again" but of course he was "afraid" of pain and Run to his mother. The father tries to encourage him back again, but the mother Puts a stop because she thought he was being too Hard on him, the father reacts as if he said, "come on... Hard? You have to be kidding me, he can be tougher than that", and within the years... the same happened until he just left, thinking purple was weak, and him thinking he failed as a father. So purple Fall on the "approval" need-of-a-faher-figure.
The Wandering traders sometimes offer Mangrove Propalague, which is useful I guess so that you won't have to travel far just to look for a mangrove swamp. They also turn invisible sometimes so that some mobs can't detect them, to be safe(?) Not sure tho
This Episode felt like a Disney short, which is Ironic because Alen Becker actually wanted to work for Disney, but for some reason started doing his own thing, which after everything that Disney has done, may have been a good choice.

Remember the origin of these characters are that they are all fighters from the old stickfight animations on Newgrounds back in the 90s early 2000s. His father is trying to make him a stick fighter but he appears to be a pacifist, at least as a child. His dad gave up and left and he blames himself which is why he's doing all this to make up for his perceived failure as a child. And as I type this I realise just how amazing it is that Allen communicated all this without a single word.
Purple was trying to hard to reach his father again, to revenge to feel worth it, just to feel like what he did meant something and honestly I'm almost sure the next arc is going to be against Purple's dad? Maybe?

Some people think the father is abusive, and in the part when purple is trying to get his dads' approval, they think the purple wants to get revenge on him, so he tries to chase him down. Alan and his team are great at telling a story through gestures, but some people are stupid to not know what they are saying. So, I'm glad that you at least got the main part of the story correct, and that you're not saying that the father is abusive. :)

I'm out here wondering what episode 30 is even gonna be at this point, considering how this one ended. Alan really teased us in this one lol only like a few seconds of the fight. With Purple starting off with the staff, how is there going to be a whole other episode? I would've thought that as soon as King Orange lost the staff and creative mode it'd be over. No doubt we're gonna have some wild twists. This last episode is going to be a banger.

Yeah the traveling merchant is pretty useless most of the time. The only useful item to get from them is the nautilus shells to make a conduit if you don't want to go searching for drowns holding a shell
All the other stick figures were just trying to defeat king orange, and purple was helping king orange, but they didn't know that he was doing that to try to impress his dad

I’m pretty sure Purple decided for himself to fight King Orange, in order to make amends for how he treated his friends (and maybe to get some revenge as well).
Thee is also the fact that it makes ense that Green and the others would be willing to forgive Purple, as they have faced true evil before, so they know that he is not truely evil.
