I’m so sick of people being so sensitive. I was taught that to be inspired by someone or something was a compliment. This cancel culture thing has become so annoying. I LOVE TB & have been wearing since day 1 & I miss the tunics & cardigans. But my style has always been classic & suburban - even with me being a city girl❤
There was a massive line at the outlet mall last night of people waiting to get into Tory Burch. Apparently they’re doing something right. Last-minute Christmas shoppers want their stuff.
Tory Burch J Crew banana republic brook brothers the WASP look fell out of favor when the world became woke. She is not the first to be a Fashion Cultural Vulture.
I've always seen Tory Birch as a resort wear. Still love and missing her iconic tunics. All other products you can find at other designers. Never liked and never owned any of Tory bags because of huge logo and saturation of the market. It screams outlets and Nordstrom Rack.
Actually NO Coach is still doing well and is a sensible purchase as is Michael Kors Both are down-played bcuz they have Outlets and have sales which is poo-popes by “luxury” brands🧐🤔😺
Just like many brands I buy, I like some pieces and some pieces I don’t care for. I do like Tory Burch - mostly the loafers and the handbags primarily the ones that are leather with minimal logos. I have never experienced any quality issues with any Tory Burch pieces I have owned.
I love her bags and shoes. I think her styles are beautiful and ppl are just too sensitive!!! I also own Gucci, Chanel and Louis Vuitton handbags, which I have collected over the past 2 decades. About 6 yrs ago I started to delve into her brand and find it unique and cute for a young professional woman!
It's a stretch to accuse a brand of cultural appropriatiom because it created clothes inspired from traditional national garments. I have a beret. I that stolen from France?
She had a high society taste. I loved her designs during her early years. But over the years, she really seemed like her inspirations and talents have been drained. Her runways shows have simply become more and more of a boring repetition of her aesthetics, without innovation, without moving forward with fashion. It just simply seems like she’s running out of ideas on those shows. In addition, her designs have become uglier and uglier over the past few years.
I don’t need trendy edgy clothes. Just stuff made for adult professional women that’s wont be out of style in 15 months because social media says so. People also need to Understand what they are buying. Lambskin will scratch and her Jewelry is custom jewelry. You can’t get it wet. This goes for most of these brands.
How is it 'quiet luxury' and 'understated sophistication' when it's got a mahoossive loud logo?
Fair point 😂😂😂
Inside information: she is not nice, and her ex-husband is behind the brand. Nothing to do with her & It's overpriced!!
How do you know she isn't nice? I'm curious about this
Her stores are closing in many areas
E.commerce is more profitable
GOOD !!! Bring Kmart back I'd rather shop there. Lol.
I really prefer the old school Tory look. Collarless jackets and tech inspired dresses are not wearable for most women.
I like her bags, but I cannot handle the logo everywhere! Also, the plagiarism is not to be overlooked.
Small is beautiful. Resist over expansion. Maintain your brand , quality and customer base.

@CleopatraSeventh The key is "outlet stores". Designers make more money selling to outlets and discount stores.

Can we please move away from huge logos on items? I cannot stand it. Leave to LV.
I often heard people say Burch's brand was an updated version of Liz Claiborne
😴😴😴 I never have cared for this cheap looking brand & that quilted pillow bag is just YET ANOTHER BITE off of CHANEL !
this brand is shit, still copy cat lol

I have had many Tory Burch Bags and the quality has gotten worse? 🤔
When I hear "cultural appropriation", I roll my eyes
Same faith as MK, Coach, H&m,

H&M? 😅
Interesting story, thanks! You answered many questions.

It’s totally absurd.
I love TB but I like her miller collection. I’m not big on the logo . What about Kurt Geiger
Who produced this? Is it PR?

I just brought a bag.
Really old lady look no matter how they try to hide it. Bad quality, bad service at luxury prices = no sales

People also need to
Understand what they are buying. Lambskin will scratch and her Jewelry is custom jewelry. You can’t get it wet. This goes for most of these brands.
I can't stand her and her products, all overpriced and very ordinary!
I actually love the medallion logo. I like the brands shoes and think the bags look nice too
No original ideas
I hear she was a socialite, that’s why she acclaimed success so fast. Don’t think it’s all just luck
I wasted money buying her overpriced and low quality Fleming bag. Can’t trust her products. This video is another marketing ploy.
Still reverence for Tory Burch
Like the portuguese sweater better
Revas are so uncomfortable
She should have stayed by the boho ethnic chic. Loved that and is again very fashionable
This fluff piece needs to be blocked- I challenge you
