Niomi, this is going to be rather long, but I wanted to write to you somehow to say you inspire me so much! I've struggled with depression and anxiety a lot throughout my life, and your videos have helped me to find strength and to remember what is important in life; to always take care of myself and make my health a priority, to always give back to others in need whenever I can, and to persevere through life's hardships with grace and kindness. Not only are you beautiful, but you are genuinely kind and you have an infectious joy for life. Obviously I don't know you, but your work on youtube has truly helped me, and in times of stress I've watched your videos and found solace. You have given me and many other young girls and women the invaluable gift of a strong, healthy, intelligent woman to aspire to, and I think what young girls need more than anything is positive role models. I'm glad to see that you're close to your mom.. My mom is still young, not even 60, and she recently got diagnoes with frontotemporal dementia. :'( I started around 2 yrs ago when my little sister died, but now it has gone downhill so fast. Last christmas she could talk. Now she can't even talk, she doesn't even recognize me :( It takes her around 30 minutes to understans who I am.. It's so bad. And now she will soon be going into a special home. My dad is looking after her all day long. I really hope no one else has a parent who will get this :(
It's honestly so so sad. My grandma has this and it's heartbreaking seeing her health and memory deteriorate. Such an awful illness. I'm also very sorry about your sister. Thinking of you and your family and wishing you the best x
