- It's hard enough to make a video that does this hike justice, let alone writing a blurb about it. We feel so privileged to have seen this awesome glacier up so close and personal. Knowing that the focal point of this 18 kilometre hike could be totally gone within our lifetime is sobering and makes the experience that much more impactful. If the unparalleled mountain backdrops aren't enough to keep you interested, wait until you see how much this glacier has receded over the years... it will blow your mind! 🤯 (global warming is real) Our minds weren't the only things that blew on this hike though, my ________ and Sarah's _________ , took a beating - sorry, wouldn't want to spoil it for you. 😜

Happy Birthday today here in Oz David 23 August. Aah so beautiful that water, so smooth. Bear spray??? Sarah you walk too fast, slow down. Yeah looks like the wilderness, cliffs and mountains. Beautiful daisies on the way. Good stopover to feel rested. I was wondering what was that noise, that avalanche sounded so loud. Hiking I believe, good mental therapy. BUT not too long 😂7.58 km wow now that’s long in 2 hrs and 36 min. That’s so good .Ooh even beautiful purple flowers, so pretty. 14 Km 😮already it’s expected Sarah you don’t give up that easily, always been that way, that is why today you enjoying your life😃. Soup so nourishing to have after all that working. Figuring it out now, why those toes are blue Sarah, you pushed those feet to its limit. Aah the best just soak those feet 🦶 the best. CONGRATULATIONS 👏 yay Sarah and David did it. 🏆

Wow! That was a great video! Poor Sarah’s feet. Was it the shoes that was the problem? Or that your legs aren’t ready for long hikes? I love putting my feet in freezing water after a long hike, I was disappointed David didn’t go for a refreshing swim 😆

It might have been the thick socks and maybe the wrong insoles? Going downhill was the most painful. Hahahaha yeah David should have gotten in the water 😂 It's an incredible hike, highly reccomend! Thanks so much for watching!

Great video! I did the the tea house hike a few years ago and there was 8 feet of snow near the top and the upper lake was frozen. Such a cool place. Love the Rockies! Safe travels!

A brilliant walk. Those tea houses are so welcome. The views here are fabulous. We did the walk the opposite way around to you with a few variations but were really impressed with the views. We were in autumn on the last week that the tea houses were open so were able to try the soup at the upper tea house. Really enjoyable. Thanks for taking us on your adventure.
