Andrei Arlovski no longer deserves to be on this list. Guy is still fighting and his last 3 fights were all wars that went to decision.
Arlovski's chin USED TO BE weak, but he is actually one of those rare occurences where his chin actually got stronger somehow. Apparently the main reason for his chin being weak was psychological as he was still haunted by his BRUTAL KO at the hands of Datsik in his first fight, and him continuing to take hits throughout his career did not help matters. He actually underwent psychological therapy. Also, once one gets KOd unconscious, one must NOT receive blows to the head for at least a year, and that includes sparring, so he probably did that. I wouldnt call his chin strong today, though pretty good on the right side of his face, but still seems sensitive on the left side of his face (where he got cracked by Datsik), but seems to be considerably less sensitive than before and can now take somewhat decent blows. His recovery is amazing though. Also, him being "KOd" at the hands of Pedro Rizzo earlier in his career should really count as a TKO because he was NOT unconscious, not even close. You can see he was holding his eye in severe pain after being knocked down, suggesting he had a broken orbital bone. Anyways, take a took at all the videos where he was KOd unconscious, ALL blows to the left side of his face.

I have a feeling cutting weight drastically via servere dehydration will eventually take a toll on one's chin. Something heavyweights won't have to go through for the most part.

James Thompson's chin was actually NOT that weak, he just had poor standup defense and took blows constantly. Its probably weak now, but not historically. I've James Thompson take some serious fucking blows to the head without falling down earlier in his career. Also, Alex Emelianenko TKOd him, not KO. You can see James was still very conscious after being knocked down, just really rocked, but cant hold it against him, he took many hard clean blows to the head before falling down, and its fucking Alex Emelianenko, who was known to hit VERY hard.
The weak chin argument is honestly really stupid. That punch by Tim Sylvia hit him right on the jaw and force is mass x acceleration.

I agree light weights and middle weights dont have half the power of the monsters at the top of the heavy weights. Light weights barely knock each other out or do much damage middle weights are good all around fighters with high stamina and SOME heavy handed guys. But heavy weights everyone of them have the power to turn your jaw around on the side of your head. And the only people who have good enough chins to fight in heavy weights can take punches from other weight classes and not be knocked out but a lightweight doesn't want to find out what a 260 man when he lands

Yea, it was at the end...except for one KO in 2003 (Couture), he had no KO/punches until 2007...25th pro fight (and nearly ten full years into his career). Freak KO's do happen...I remember Cain/JDS when the latter dropped Cain almost immediately...but Cain was (is??) better. Liddell was doing fine until his second win over Ortiz. He didn't win again after that except a decision against Wanderlei

this list is a joke. You've got Chuck, who had one of the best chins MMA and not even a mention of Melvin Manhoeff, easily the glassiest of chins. Or even Joe Schilling. Plus most of those fighters were heavyweights where pretty much anyone can have a glass chin when 265+ lbs are flying at your face.

Melvin didn't always have a glass chin (he does now because he is 40 and has been fighting forever) he had a pretty solid chin but would constantly leave himself open for counters.

Bigfoot and Struve have been finished way more times than Mir, It made no sense putting Mir on the list. Mir actually is tough and has a good chin, he has only ever been truly KO'd once (by Shane Carwin). JDS TKO'd Mir and it took JDS many strikes to do that. Mir has always had a good chin and he took all the strikes that Duffy threw and then KO'd Duffy, Mir got hit good by Mark Hunt and dropped (but he wasn't limp and unconscious). Plus being dropped by Mark Hunt doesn't mean anything, Nelson was KO'd by Mark Hunt. No one would claim that Nelson has a bad chin.

The young Bob Sapp had a strong chin. He was at one time a very good fighter believe it or not, check out his early record. He defeated one of the greatest kickboxers of all time Ernesto Hoost twice along with other mma and kickboxing legends.

Hip Hop 3k - That’s only true if it’s not that many fighters who retired because they got old and kept losing WITHOUT getting knocked out consecutive times. But if there’s a lot of aging, losing fighters who could still take a punch before they retired, then Chuck belongs on the list.

hence, he was the champion of nothing. Even back in the day when he actually made an effort, he wasn't quite good enough to overcome his lack of skill and durability.
He's actually got a decent chin. At the start of his career when he was hungry and needed money he actually fought his ass off (watch his fights with Hoost). But somewhere along the lines he started turtling and tapping out if a breeze blew into his face. Some people say it was because Crocop broke his face, some thing it's because he started making more money being a celebrity in Japan and just used fighting to keep his name out there, but his last fights were just pathetic.

Jez Creed that's not true. Your power is the last thing to leave and since most heavyweights rely on power, they can fight until they're like 40. Look at the top heavyweights in the UFC, most of them are over 30.
Oddly, the opposite is true. In the lightweight classes guys can't keep up with the speed and retire early. The heavyweight top ten is filled with guys in their late 30s and Mark Hunt has been hanging in at the top in his 40s.

Something abnormal happened to Chuck, we don't see all fighters end up anywhere near as bad as Chuck. Chuck even speaks weird today, the only thing I can think of is a massive drug addiction which fucked him up for the most part. As apparently taking hallucination drugs can make your brain easier and easier over time to go unconscious.
Nearly all the other old fighters can still talk normally and still can take at least more of a punch than Chuck. Something different happened to Chuck than just age.
