And then as soon as Kimbo landed a punch that made James' cauliflower ear burst, Dan stopped the fight; Sure the ear was gross and should have been drained before the bout, but that wasn't a fight ending injury. Also, JT got fucked over in his Cage Rage fight against Butterbean; The Big Boxer threw a massive hook that the Colossus managed to avoid by throwing himself backward, and landed on his ass... and the ref called the "KO" on the spot. Thompson protested, the crowd booed him like he was a sore loser, but the video replay showed that the punch didn't connect. But Butterbean said that he clearly felt the punch connect, and the result wasn't overturned. James also fought Ubereem at his roid peak in Japan on a day notice, accepting the fight while he was still in England, for a meager 1000$ pay. He hoped on the same plane as his friend and training partner Zelg "Benkei" Galesic, who was fighting Sakuraba at the same event, and he flew to Japan to fight the most feared HW on the planet at that point without a camp or even a gameplan. Ballsy. JT was a massive underdog at +800, I remember putting 20 bucks on him winning via stoppage on a whim, banking on a lucky punch. After all, Overeem doesn't have the sturdiest chin, and Thompson can throw a punch. @MontageKing, sir! About the last bit, there is a fight where a fighter decides to fight with one knee on the ground. He did that for the whole duration of the fight. Wont spoil it, but the ending is a must see! The fight is Gazzaev vs Glukhov
Believe it or not someone actually used the one knee wrestling stance in a fight and did pretty well with it. Up until his opponent just decided "fuck it" and kicked him in the head and got DQ'd.
