We don't deserve him. I want to be Alvin's friend so badly... He just seems like such a genuinely nice guy.
Just don’t use him for food. Treat him good. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
He seems like a lonely guy. 🤐No time for friends/ family when you’re specializing in the longest way possible to make food. I’m here from the 100 hour lasagna. It was the most ridiculous, sexy and over-exaggerated video making of a lasagna I’ll ever experience in my lifetime. I’m not mad at it either
He does seem really nice to be around
Bub
He serves his burgers cold, and he put so much passion in his work, all the juices dripping in the shield, what is he?😂
it is NOT lame to want to show your friends affection or want to see them! NEITHER ARE YOU LAME ALVIN. You are certainly the culmination of the calmest and coolest of culinary creators

I’m not sure why, but Alvin’s “friends” are starting to sound like some sort of unknown entities only living in his mind that torment his soul constantly or something
Same here, I'm genuinely starting to worry about him.
this means that i actually have friends
I like to think they are just a group of stray cats that he feeds when they gather at his window after smelling him cook.

Just like every single time I view one of your videos I'm rendered speechless. Despite the fact I speak more than a few languages I struggles to find words to precisely describe what I feel. Every frame, phrase and melody conveys a feeling of tranquility and sparks joy and nostalgia inside my heart. Thank you
I cried to watching "Your Name". It was a great tear jerker. This is the longest wait for a burger I have ever seen. I mean 6 hours. Who is going to wait that long when they are hungry lol. Great job and looks awesome. New subscriber here.
Friends: “Hey Alvin, we’re about to got to McDonald’s for some burgers, wanna come?”
Alvin: “ *No.*
*Give me 6 hours* ”
Alvin: "even if it's only for one minute or two"
This lovely man is ready to cook 6 hours for just a minute or two, you're too precious for this world.
You also mentioned Your Name in the commentary. Then came the segment from 4:35 - 4:50, and I was immediately reminded of Makoto Shinkai's directing style. The shots and music had the same style that evokes feelings of peace and solitariness.
I really don't know why but watching this has made me really happy, mad bless.

Gonna try that the next time I have a breakup
Hope you don't have a breakup.

I LOVE the pace of your cooking! I know this may sound like a weird comment, but other cooking channels rush through the process. Your pace is so refreshing. I try to emulate your pace now when I cook. Slowing down brings back the enjoyment of creating something beautiful. Thanks!
Sometimes people want straight to the point recipe video so they can make their dish right away, this video is more for who enjoy watching people cooking and to get relaxed

The story underneath the cooking makes it even more fun to watch. I like the way Alvin gives meaning to the cooking and the way he gives life and applies feeling to the ingredients
The secret to not crying when your cutting onions is to not get emotionally attached.
Hate the stigma around crying when cutting onions. It's hard sometimes, it's ok to cry.
but real secret is to not cut bottom, root, till last moment of chopping, then you have minimum crying.
@@stevanzdravkovic835 I think you're close but I would argue the real secret is to cut them lengthwise, so pole-to-pole instead of across the equator. It causes less damage to the cell walls and the smell won't be as pungent.
@@johnnyasbest969 that too
@@stevanzdravkovic835 I have actually never cried while slicing onions. I will try to do it the wrong way and let you know what happens.
