I’m autistic and I really don’t understand why so many people don’t like us. We may not understand everything about the world around us but that doesn’t make us bad. I have found that we are easily taken advantage of. For some reason we can’t see when people aren’t good until it’s too late sometimes. That’s why having at least one parent that understands you is very important. I feel incredibly blessed that I have my Mom. My Mom is the best. I know that both my sister and my Mom try their hardest to protect me.

Try not to take it personally because it’s nothing against you,…it’s that others don’t understand and need to be educated about Autism. Our oldest grandson was diagnosed around 3y/o and he’s 24 now. He’s learning as he goes in life and he keeps working on himself so that he won’t be taken advantage of by others who are really not a friend. Just be you, and keep trying to strive for goal’s because you are worthy.❤️

you are lucky to have them, then, and BTW, plenty of us off the scale, get taken as well, so don't beat yourself up over it, it's quite common. though much more of a challenge for you than most, I'm sure, but you're doing really well here, engaging in social media, and expressing yourself quite well, this had to be really difficult to watch for you

My oldest child is autistic spectrum. And yes growing up he got taken advantage of on occasion but he learned and as an adult is much more aware of people. He also has gone on to become a supervisor at his job and plays and competes in disc golf. I told him it's not that people don't like you they get uncomfortable because they are not sure how to talk to or interact . And it is not just autism that people have difficulty with because there are many conditions, lifestyles, religions, death etc where they just don't know what to say so they ignore those people. Remember you are a remarkable one of a kind special human being!!!!

Unfortunately, there are evil people in the world filled with hate in their souls. The disgusting abuse of these evil people is a testament to what is wrong with them. Ill always wonder why that sort of ‘immersion’ punishment isnt simply mandatory on top of jail and prison sentences. Like theres certain things that simply dont/cant apply but given this particular situation, the young boys… yeah thatd be the easiest replication ever. Put them outside in a shed and tell them best of luck. You survive some number of days, your reward is life or many years behind bars. Whether theyve got a new found respect for life or not… put em under the jail.

    • @plantlovea.7841
      @plantlovea.7841 Год назад +19

They need to report it to institutional abuse, the entity that overlooks the public schools. Sometimes when you report it to the school itself, nothing much gets done immediately because those being accused could be friends with whom you’re making a report to. When you call institutional abuse or file a report online, they have to follow up, they keep a record of if incase there’s not enough proof, so that next time someone complains there’s a file. You can remain anonymous too. Making a separate police report is important too, that’s how they get charged through the law. Usually with institutional abuse what gets done ultimately is their teaching license gets taken away and they lose their job, but with the police report they’ll face the law, and have another record. It’s important that a record gets kept of these individuals. Speaking up is always important, they thrive on fear and the ignorance of how the law works. They also benefit from befriending people in their workplace. Again file a police report and a report with institutional abuse.

There have been so many teachers to REPEATEDLY REPORT to authorities and they (the teachers) weren’t listened to, their reports are taken and ignored. It’s INFURIATING why legally require them to report if they’re not going to follow up on reports??
I am sorry that happened to you. I believe a comment a few up also thought I was referring to teachers abusing children, that comment may be helpful for you. Is there even a statute on sexual assault? You can probably still report.

It's not like these workers didn't have a clue of what was happening. They are so apathetic and burned out. The sickening thing is, the bio mom wanted to have the kids back. If the system is overworked, they need to hire more caseworkers and cut back on the highest salaries at the top. There is so much wrong with CPS.

She is all I have and that little girl depends on me. I know I'm pretty much all she has and I love her dearly. I just can't even begin to fathom what went on in that house, how those boys had to endure that torture. I think the stepmother is just as responsible for the abuse those children suffered as their father. She hated those boys. They were a burden and she wanted rid of them, but their father insisted on keeping them, perhaps to punish their mother, so she decided to torture them instead. I'll never understand how any woman, a MOTHER, could be so cruel towards any child. It happens all the time, though. My stepmother was similar, but luckily I only had to endure her during the summers. I definitely spent many days alone in a garage, on hot Texas summer days, wondering what it was about me that made me so unlovable, and trying to figure out what I could change about myself so that she would treat me like I was human. That's another aspect that really tears me up about these cases. Most kids will blame themselves, and that damage long outlives the abuse itself. There truly is no perfect justice in a case like this. I just pray that Thomas is at peace, and that his brother can one day heal from the immense trauma those monsters inflicted upon them.

There is no reason to ask why you "were not loveable". You were and ate! It is the abuser who should be asking themselves why they are treating their own child so horribly that their child even thinks to think this in the first place. A child can be all kinds of things, but it is a parents job no matter what to Love, Care, Guide, Help, Train for the real world as an upcoming at a point adult and the good and bad, Compassion, Understanding and so much more. You were never 'the issue', but the parent was-is. Like women ask what is wrong with them when a guy leaves them. 9 times out of 10 there is nothing wrong with you, but the boyfriend-husbsand, etc. You can't control another nor their thoughts and reasoning and also should not blame self for another's action that you have no control over.
I hope you are doing well now and that you found a way to move past the trauma and hurt and have happiness in spite of that which you were not able to control, knowing that you will NOT pass this on either. And that would be a win for you! You survived and found happiness and know first hand that that should never be done to a child you bore or became a mother of in any other way and that is supposed to love and protect children at all costs. All best wishes and God's Prayer's for the best of everything to you! ❤

I watched the trials, as much as was televised, as I have 2 autistic grandsons who get treatment through ABA therapy since both have turned 2 years old, & know these 2 boys were high functioning autistic children and most likely they didn’t know how to treat or care for them emotionally, which makes it so much worse that they were mistreated & not helped all the times they were reported. Both of these monsters needed justice from the people rather than the courts.

I always feel incredibly guilty for it, and I try to always keep in mind not to yell. How anyone can continue to abuse their child it such a horrific way and not feel incredibly guilty for it, I will never understand. Most parents feel very guilty for losing their temper and I just can't understand the mind of someone like this.

Ana, I too have followed this story since you first reported on it, I've bawled my eyes out each and every time and I consider myself pretty hardened to the core when it comes to true crime content, I rarely if ever cry, but this......this case leaves me sobbing.
I'm sure I'm not the only person who wishes they could turn back the hands of time and rescue both these boys and just hold them for the years it would take to actually warm their hearts back up again.
Whilst I would guarantee a whole year's paycheck that this gutless POS excuse of a male will be being housed in "protective" custody no doubt for the rest of his life, I can only keep hoping that someone gets to him, whether it be by dropping the soap in the shower or a kitchen accident with a frying pan and boiling sugar, just something, anything, then MAYBE JUST MAYBE, he might acknowledge the horror he inflicted on his own sons, having said that though I'm not going to hold my breath that he will ever think his actions were wrong.
His "THING" that he calls a fiance deserves the same sentence as him, I actually believe that she is the bigger of the 2 offenders, there may even be a possibility he wouldn't have done this if he had been thinking with the head on top of his shoulders and not the head between his legs.
She seemed to be pushing a lot of the narratives and suggestions which then turned to fruition.
Michael and Angela are total oxygen thieves,
I hope the older boy is given absolutely every single possible resource available to help him to heal from the abuse, torture, tragedy and loss he has felt and dear God please let him be given to someone with an endless supply of time, of affection and love, definitely unconditional timeless unlimited love.

I can tell you as someone who has survived life-threatening child abuse...the abuser gets a thrill and a sense of power, a sick redressing of their own past. If the child dies then their outlet has gone. I live in the country and have had a five cats over the years. Some of them used to catch mice, bring them home and eat them; they then seem to realise that if they kill the mouse straight away then the "fun" is over so they then keep them alive and chase and play with them. This is how some sadists function.

Believe me, my ex-husband sure didn't want to pay child support, nor did he want to raise his sons. He didn't get what he wanted & his new wife did not treat my children well at all when they were around. Now he has another younger girlfriend & treats her son far better than his own sons. Luckily my boys were not disabled. The fact that the father in this case was in law enforcement is deplorable.

You know a case is really bad when Anna Garcia cries. That photo of him, how could anyone hurt such a sweet face and put that little Angel through hell. So absolutely inhuman and horrific

The defense attorney was a great guest. I have always wanted to know the inside thinking of how to defend a person and he answered a lot of those questions.

Cried listening to this disgusting case of that little boy. 😢Something is wrong with our system in our Country 100%. Ana my son was given custody to his father since I wanted to better my life from Ohio to Florida. He hired a father’s rights attorney while I was in school no money for a hired attorney. Thank god I moved back after 6 months to find my 5 year old was beaten forced to eat on the floor with the dogs, the final straw when he whipped my baby with a vacuum cord because he didn’t move fast enough. When my baby came home after seeing the marks I grabbed a baseball bat. My family and friends begged me not to go after his dad. It was difficult yet I did call the police and his dad was arrested finally losing all rights to my child. It took a long time before I was believed he was mistreating our child. My son has no relationship as of today with that piece of garbage. I feel so guilty moving to Florida as I had no clue what was happening when I left. Permanent damage was done to my baby who is now in his 30s doing well yet has OCD ptsd, and doesn’t want. children. We did move back to Florida. The story gets more sad when he tried to develop a relationship with his dad when he was 20. His dad threatened him. My son said “dad I’m not a little kid anymore” my son could have beat the crap out of him. They haven’t spoke since. Breaks my heart our system SUCKS!

Omg this brought me to tears. If they give him a slap on the wrist because he’s a cop this will infuriate me. More than I already am.😡

I do believe that HIS wife was the driving force behind it...listening to the text messages, I believe that he was exhausted by her demands and I think that the reason for not giving up the children to their mother was due to child support. She would not have wanted the funds to go to the mother 💔💔💔

My ex married a mean woman too! They took me to court over and over . Lost custody of my son and lost the equity in the house . But I guess if I had won either of those this mean woman would’ve done more in order to win.

ultimately it was the father's job to protect those kids even from his wife if need be, her job as a step-parent was to protect those kids she decided to marry their father, and so she took on responsibility for his kids as well, I blame them both as equally responsible, but him a bit more so

Sometimes women do not have the sensitivity that one would expect and we as women can be hugely manipulative. My grandson was emotionally and physically abandoned by his father because his new wife did not want him around. He was ten years old when his parents got divorced and she never accepted his side of the family. Upon our discussion he told me that he was tired of fighting with her, I took it that he had to decide with her in order to have peace in the household 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sad that he'd rather be with a woman who he can't be himself with then with his young son who he could truly be his self with.

This is horrific! They deserve torture. I agree
    think the reason they didn’t
    give the kids back is
    because then He’d have to
pay child support and got ssdi. This is just indefensible. They had autism? Kids with autism have a hard enough time I can’t imagine doing that! The torture was twice as bad for a child like that! I can’t even… omg 😢

If u read Alice Miller books, she was a psychologist and explains that actually too many parents have hidden contempt for their children bc of their narcissism.
