Nothing that you witness in this amazing child was taught. I started performing professionally in 1965 and have performed on hundreds of stages with some of the best in the music industry, and none of the soul, stage presence, mannerisms, calm and relaxed stage presence can be taught or "developed" at this age.
I performed with a child prodgedy who at 12 was a superb musician. I've, likewise, seen him go from a studio musician to a composer of symphonies.
There are those souls who desire to return again to this life and bring back with them the skills previously developed. I marvel at this baby's skill, as do millions of others.

After about 200 viewings i can finally see all the musicians as peers. This is one of the best interpretations of this song ever recorded. In the last half, after her second growl everybody in that room was in the pocket. The whole thing had a great swanky swing to it. Truly a power piece where everybody shined bright.

@@connielee1621 These are actually two different songs - the one at 6 years is "I Who Have Nothing" (Tom Jones) and the other at 12 is "I Have Nothing" (Whitney Houston). And as far as I know there is only one video of each song. 🙂

chameleon of change she is, out comes her own version that she coordinates
with the orchestra to present it in a way that is her preference. She allows the
emotion of the song to guide her. This results in something a vocal purist might
find some problems with, concerning technique that is taught, but Angelina is a
completely different 'animal' and will chop, dice, and anything else she feels the
song calls for.

Yes, it’s how she wants to say it to us, her way. Not all technically perfect. It’s not meant to be. She is telling the vulnerability and emotion of the less than perfect subject of the story. Perfection doesn’t always convey that emotion, and thereby, it becomes perfect.

was heavily into jazz at 2 years...
Ive watched this at least 200 hundred times. mostly to see who got overwhelmed by Angelina today. This allowed me lots of studies and every note, scoop, growl, vibrato was intentional and so well placed. even those screams have intentional modulation in the middle of what sounds like emotional chaos. It's still stunning and captivating. pure singing above learned singing or mimic. even all the voice coaches together only come close to a satisfactory explanation.
This was the first Angelina song I listened to. A third of the way through I had to stop and regroup. I’ve listened to her everyday since.

3. You have no idea of her talent, even after watching these two. To understand how many genres she can master, watch her cover of Adele’s A Million Years Ago. It’s Angelina completely different from what you’ve seen. It’s a stunning performance by the best interpreter of lyrics I’ve ever heard. And you can hear the range and incredible depth and texture of her voice, even though she’s only 11 years old, I believe.

If you want to hear the jazziest jazz song she does try: I’d Rather Go Blind. She’s at home sitting on a couch, no fancy video, no editing etc.., just Angelina, as it comes. She is a bit older and you will see more progression from this.
