A massive thank you to all the rescuers who helped to save these orphans and find ways of saving their lives by finding a companion. Bless you all. xxx
But maybe by saving the orphans, they are depriving apex predators and other carnivores and herbivores of the forest from eating enough, and they'll starve to death? Like the stellar sea lions who don't have enough high-calorie fish to eat, and instead get full on lower-calorie fish, which deprives their bodies of the energy they need to reproduce?

I have watched this documentary multiple times and it never fails to amaze me. It is so well done and captures some beautiful and rarely seen relationships.
How ridiculous. She completely ignores, or lacks the education to comprehend the very simple fact that humans are also animals. Humans are absolutely the most powerful predators on this planet. Even more vicious, brutal and territorial than any Lions, tigers, or bears. Yet… Do humans not form bonds with thousands of other species? From Spiders to Elephants, and everything in between. If I was her professor, I’d give her a C- or less, for this documentary… It’s like a 12-year-old child who’s never picked up a biology book wrote this documentary.
I'm a grown- ass 30 year old man and here I am in literal tears over the deer and the great dane. It's stuff like this that makes you think that life CAN be beautiful and that stuff like this is what it's all about.
The most unexplained thing in here is that the Narrator also adopted all the animals around the world, you deserve more than that, thank you for the heart touching videos
The bear and tiger relationship is beautiful. And that tiger is stunning. I love cats, big and small... I have a cat - it's fascinating how they're like mini versions... like, the movement, the fur, the features... everything is the same, they're just a minature version. Beautiful.
Were the bear, the lion and the tiger all kept in the same basement as kids? That would explain, to my mind, why they get along. They are old war buddies, they’ve been through the same war, fighting on the same side. To see sunlight again. They were all lonely and they kept each other company, and they were the closest thing that any of them had to a friend. No outside influence to tell them that they were different, or couldn’t get along, or shouldn’t get along. Now they’re inseparable.
The most enriching element of your presentations, Liz, beyond all the heartwarming and amazing exemples of animal frienships, is the beauty of your own soul, your love-filled heart, which unmistakably and beautifully shines through across your warm and inspiringly whispering voice and gives us viewers a wonderful sample of what it means to be a highly realized human being with an exceptional sensibility and capacity of love and compassion. Your urge to share those scenes of compassion and affection found among animals with us are proof and a reflection of your own beauty, Liz, Your calm way of sharing those treasures is quite rare on youtube where marked barkers are in the majority. So its a rare treat, thanks a lot !
I thank the presenter for her dedication, time and effort to compile these animal behavior cases collected from Canada to Barazil, and from South Africa to Irland. I salute you. What a wonderful lesson from Nature. Thanks.
Liz Bonnin is not just a TV presenter. She has a Bachelors degree in biochemistry from Trinity College,Dublin and,a Master’s degree in wild animal biology and conservation from the Zoological Society of London & the Royal Veterinary College.

What the Human species can learn from animals around the world is amazingly remarkable... needs are met without expectation, friendships made regardless of what they look like, caring and protection is uncompromising... this program is a class in Humanity 101
@@shifuarena901 Your perspective is what probably lays a foundation in your life of relational difficulties. Determined simply by your statement made, based solely on an ignorant perspective, without consideration or understanding of animal behavior... obviously from your point of view, they know better
@@ronwillemsen7698 I'm with Uxmal Gnos on this one. This is very a-typical behavior for animals, so please don't turn it into something that it's not. Also, don't put any pseudo-psychological analysis on someone you know nothing about. It comes across as being the complete opposite of all the qualities you seem to admire so much.
@@carmenl163Hello carmenl163, you're partly correct and my apology is extended for my crass response. We deem ourselves, people as the benchmark of understanding and through our pride think that means in everything. 18 years ago, a mare I had foaled and according to the vet, died shortly afterward... what was amazing is that when I found her with my late wife, the foal was laying at the side of a hay bail with three coyote pups and their mother, still liking the fluid from his coat and face. Before God created man, He created all living creatures, in that Garden of Eden, those animals were in communion with each other, and I firmly believe that within the animal kingdom, there's a better understanding of what "communion" means. The understanding of what compassion is, is not our domain alone, nor understanding love... it is universal, no matter the genetic sequence Happy thanksgiving to you. We had ours
This is in the top 5 of all documentaries I have ever watched. In the sciences, my field of interest is mathematics yet seeing these bundles of life create bonds and friendships was really cute. So much more to learn as always. Gotta luv mother nature
@@erniesulovic4734 Ok. So I find the square-cube law very helpful. For example I can tell you how much a person will weigh if he you scaled his height up to 12'0" from 6'0"/180 lbs. Most people might assume that a 12-foot person will be twice the weight of its 6-foot counterpart given they are twice the height. But it doesn't work like that. It works according to the square-cube law so that a person that is 12-foot will be 8-times heavier than their 6-foot counterpart. Both have the exact same proportions but one is scaled up and one is scaled down. Now you can use this square-cube law to know the scaled height and weight of any 3D objects using the square-cube law. So to get the weight of a 12-foot man scaled from 6'0"/180 lbs: (12/6) (to the power of 3). Multiplied by 180. You could replace "mass" by "volume" if you need to. I'm not a maths person but have an amateur interest in knowing animal weights, so that's how I came across. It's just so handy. Because I"m not a maths person I can't explain the theory behind it well, but if you look it up you'd probably understand better than I. Now Robert Wadlow, the tallest man in recorded history, at 8'11" was a lean 495 lbs. If you scaled him down to 6'0" what would be his weight?

I went away for the first time since I got my cat and I went on a holiday for eight days and my cat smudge must have thought I was gone coz my parents said she had stopped eating was meowing for me constantly on my bed and vomiting in the hallway I was so happy to see her when I got home I still have her she's only 5
Awe! Poor kitty cat! Poor you! You must've been so worried and upset because kitty was upset and taking your absence so hard. Next time you should do a few video calls with her so she can see that you're alright and that you haven't left her permanently or forgotten her! 💞 🐈🐾🐾🐈⬛ 💜
If I call my cat with a random name she doesn't react but if I call her by name she immediately starts purring. She approaches and displays nothing less than affection! She also sleeps during the day in the exact place I go bed so she must feel comfortable with my smell. She is old now so I'll soon miss this closeness. Animals are definitely capable of higher emotions.

I adopted two senior cats a few years ago and get a bit choked up thinking about how badly they were treated before getting dumped at the shelter. Lol I went there to get a dog a lot of other people wanted: these girls were going to be euthanized the next day. Glad I found out. It means a lot to read comments from others who know the great depth of animals - all kinds. Thanks to Anna Breytenbach, I've grown a bit in this regard. Hoping you and your cat are well. And when the time comes, I know another animal will be so lucky to know you. (Hope it's ok to say that.)
Humans need to give other animals more consideration when it comes to emotions. Just because we don't all speak the same language doesn't mean they don't have feelings on par with us.

@@constantnipples2428 Did you not watch the video? Clearly animals do have emotions in a very similar way as us. If you think about it a lot of it is down to hormones which we all have, and that was shown here.
I'm seeing this kind of relating with the "feral" cats in my neighborhood. I feel them all and it seems to be that when they ALL know that there's plenty of food for ALL of them, there is no fighting or tension. They all want to hang out and get to know each other. Some even cuddle these these guys do. An argument for how devastating poverty and hunger are.
I think with animals they communicate differently than us so we don't always understand it. What we see as savagery is just being upfront with eachother. I have two cats and they have a typical sibling relationship, my big male would protect my small female with his life as he has previously shown but that doesn't stop him from being the one to give her a good wallop sometimes. Ive noticed a lot of animals, especially cats, can have a "fight" and then an hour later start playing like best friends. 🤔 Just thought this might be an interesting thing to add on as mine are house cats and have fortunately never had to experience poverty. I do however have a feral living in my shed and she's a lot different personality wise. Very sweet little girl! Thank you for looking after them, they need all the help they can get. X
It's not actually a complex emotion... It's basic and its called love. They all live altogether as family, they eat, have fun, learn each of their characters and share their lives together everyday and every minute.. and of course they learned about love as family.
@@IndiaNumberOneCoubtry despite of what I said, it's complex for a lot of people.. and I completely understand 😁.. because for people it's a different story, it becomes complex because of covetousness which is sin of the heart. Just like us, animals feel friendship, love, gratitude, sadness and everything else. I think a lot of animals feel even more than we do. Animals deserve our respect ❤️
I can tell you with 100% certainty that animals feel all of the exact same feelings as we do, because I have witnessed it all at work for the last 14 years. The fact that anyone would be slightly surprised by that is mind-blowing.
Lord, You are so amazing. You have created these awesome animals--You have a loving heart and here we see it displayed in "wild" as well as in domesticated animals. So beautiful and heartwarming. Many thanks to Liz who has spent countless hours traveling, interviewing animal loving scientists, and compiling all this information to share with us. Very much appreciated!!
God has designed every single organism on Earth to begin life competing with every other organism. Famine, drought, aggression, territorialism, infanticide, cannibalism, being eaten alive with your intestines pulled through your a$$hole, disease, starvation, abandonment… the list goes on. There is no chance in HELL that a benevolent, omnipotent, omniscient god created this world. The icing on the cake is that Humans, “made in His image”, are the ONLY species to have existential turmoil and GUILT for having been created in his IMAGE with all the urges of every other self-serving organism on Earth. If I were a god and I could do anything, I sure as sh!t wouldn’t spend my time creating a tortuous environment for my creations.
Hate to break it to you but there was no Lord or Lady involved in creating these animals. No deity, no "god". Going after the biblical definitions these animals wouldn't even be capable of love or interspecies friendship.

The dog is the Jaguars emotional support dog, it’s actually very common within habitat enclosures and zoos, the big cats are very anxious around a lot of people, and the dogs help them out
My grandparents had pet dogs, cows, cats, oxen, goats, buffaloes. I used to watch these animals very closely as a kid. They do feel emotions like we humans do. It breaks my heart to see these beautiful lovely creatures on our food plate only for the satisfaction of our taste buds.
Anyone who had a pet like cat or dog could agree that animals are much smarter and affectionate than what mainstream scientists portrayed them to be. They also do understand us more than it’s used to believe, and have feelings.
In Finland a wildlife photographer came across the meeting of a wolf and a native brown bear. These two species don’t normally mix. He followed them on regular basis and discovered they would meet at certain times of the day to eat and spend time together. This a contemporary tale. Man has had nothing to do to influence this relationship, it would appear.
I loved that so much and i love how the people actually let the two completely different animals be close even tho there could have been a fight or an attack! (especially between the bear, tiger and lion)
I think these remarkable, beautiful relationships blossom where these animals don't have to be concerned about where their next meal is coming from or when and around what corner that deadly encounter might be. It's because of this the lion can truly lay down with the lamb, because of food security and just plain security.
... and perhaps the need to matter to another being who might not fare as well without us. I got a bit into the deep end with adopting too many at one time. Had to realize I can't save them all. Had to find a healthy balance. Very grateful to those who rescue.
I can truly attest to the fact that animals have a remarkable and peculiar way of communicating their feelings. Peculiar is a word I use because they don't have any reserve for showing love and affection. They simply have an innate understanding when anything means them harm or good. And for good they show thanks and affection. They are one of the best things in our lives. It will truly be a blessed day when we can be one of the best things in theirs. It tears me up to see or know that any animal is being abused and neglected... Especially something that can't defend itself.
I think the full stomach theory is spot on. Even in humans with dogs this varies. In more primitive cultures where food acquisition is important, pets are not purely pets...theynare useful friendly workers. They offer protection, pull sleight, help hunt etc. Only when all our needs are so fully provided for do we have pets just as "playthings".
I've had the honor to be witness to a very complex display of Empathy in one of our Dogs, Jo. She was a Wheaten Terrier who sadly passed away in 2017, at the age of 13. However, back in 2009, my Wife & I had her & her older 'Sister' Betty. In the summer, Betty was almost killed by our neighbor's Pit-bull/Akita mix & I had to take him on with my bare hands to save Betty's life. (But that's another story...) Anyway, after that event, Jo was enormously protective of Betty, who was 13 at the time & Jo became extremely aggressive around other dogs. Sadly, we made the mistake of fostering a young abused Husky Puppy, Maya, only a few months after the attack & also didn't let Jo meet Maya in Neutral Territory, which didn't help matters. Jo was so upset, we had to constantly monitor her for weeks after, because it always looked like she was going to attack Maya at the drop of a hat. Thankfully however, after about a month or so, Jo came to tolerate Maya, though she absolutely did not like her. Eventually we fully adopted Maya & after she turned about 8 months old, we took her to the Vet to get fixed. Now I have to back up a couple years, to put what Jo did to Maya after Maya got back from the Vet in better context: A couple years before Maya came along, my Wife had gotten very sick and had to stay in bed for a few days. At one point during that, Jo leaps onto the bed, gives my Wife a good sniffing, then jumps off & returns a little later with her favorite toy. She then places the toy on my Wife's head. The message was clear- 'This makes me feel better, it will make *you* feel better.' That in and of itself was an incredible expression of Empathy. But it gets better. Back to 2009- So I bring Maya in the house after her operation & she is tired & hurty & just flops down on a dog bed. A little while later, Jo, who still *clearly* did NOT like Maya at this point, comes up to Maya & also gives her a good sniffing. Jo wanders off, comes back with her favorite toy, and places it right by Maya's head. My Wife & I were just amazed & so proud of Jo for that. To try to help my Wife, who was Jo's Alpha, is one thing, but to help another dog Jo didn't even *like*, well, that's something else entirely...
I firmly believe so, that animals can feel complex emotion. I do not think we are 'superior' in this or that there are necessarily solely biological reasons for the development of relationships between living things 💗🌵
Just watch a calf getting seperated from its mother.. or a dog missing its owner. As long as you "believe" in such things, you cant consider yourself a smart person. No insult in the first place, but some encouragement to widen you knowledge about living things. Like we humans dont know anything about our own body besides you start working out etc and get to know all that stuff. But i am glad to know the color of the turd from some guy or girl, which lived 2000 years ago. I think you get the point

@Wag Fag I was thinking the same thing...Humans are the ones talking care of many of them in the first place. We have good and bad in this world and it's our choice which one we feed.
From all animals or birds I've been in contact or seen in my life, I can say not only they can feel emotions, but much more beyond this: is no common language with them, so they must be telepathic in a certain way; they are spiritually evolved and they protect us many times; they also feel when we're in danger or when we are sick. Now, I haven't met many humans like this, so I think the question should be asked otherwise.
Holy crap. The polar bears 🐻 and the 🐕 huskeys playing are incredible. I love 💕 that they bonded naturally. It's wild polar bears being loving to chained up Huskeys. Just mind boggling to watch a polar bear hugging a freaking husky.
I wondered about that, all thru the video they keep talking about not observing that happening in the wild, yet here were supposed wild polar bears playing with huskies!
@@raweatsmcloving5255 This sanctuary is for huskies, and the polar bears are completely wild and are free to come and go. It is technically illegal for humans to feed polar bears under Manitoba's Endangered Species and Ecosystems Act. The sanctuary was cited and no longer able to do so, even though they had the ability and fed them as a means of protecting the huskies rehabilitating in their care. Within a few days after this footage was taken & the sanctuary was cited and forced to stop providing food, a polar bear did get to a different husky in the middle of the night. Was it a polar bear randomly turning on a husky, OR was a stable food source taken and left the bears starving? The fact it took several days before the bears resorted to this is amazing in itself. Either way you look at it, humans interfering in the bear's food source had everything to do with the outcome. Humans in survival mode can be, and are just as fierce in survival mode. Had the government not forced such actions without a better plan implemented, and they not forcibly remove the food source, this incident would not have happened. In the end, it was a dire situation, and not unpredictability, that caused a tragedy.
I get tired. I want to go to sleep. Then I wander around on the internet... and I find Liz again. Dang it. I'm going to be tired tomorrow again. I love your videos Liz. You need your own TV show, but no one will listen to me. But I, on the other hand, will listen to you.
I feel it's like Madagascar movie in real life. The bear, lion and tiger were raised as young together so they're still affectionate towards each other . ❤️
In my opinion, there is very simple answer to this beautiful relationships. In wilderness, many other animals would live together if they did not have to hunt and kill for food.
In the first example given in the video, the black bear, tiger, and lion; black bears and tigers are generally solitary so I think it's surprising that they wanted to be together throughout adulthood
I love the bear, tiger and lion trio. I have seen several videos of them and every time I am like oh that is so cute. It's just amazing to see them all together. But I get it, they have been together for a long time and they have their own pecking owner.
I live on a farm and we've got several types of animals, including chickens, ducks and turkeys. Our oldest bird is a duck named Chuck. Originally we got 5 baby ducks, but unfortunately a giant rat ate 4 of the 5 and Chuck was the only survivor. The chickens kind of adopted him and despite getting more ducks later on, Chuck seemed to prefer the company of chickens. In particular, he developed a special fondness for black hens lol. Just for him, we now make it a point to always have at least a couple black hens for Chuck. It's obvious at this point that Chuck considers himself a rooster, not a duck. He even mounts his black hens like the roosters do. Not only does he see himself as a rooster, but all the other roosters clearly pay reverence to Chuck as the top rooster. It's by far the oddest dynamic on our farm lol.
I'm sitting here watching these type of videos and then I click on this one and then the first couple of minutes it shows a Jack Russell named bullet and a Jaguar named Jag... Okay mind blown and then times 10 for real that cat is petting literally petting that dog! That is insanely fabulous wonderful and just a treat thank you for sharing I love the perfection that is in every animal and continue to love animals not people.

This is very interesting. If we look at it from a broader perspective, wild animals don't seem to care what species you are, if they take a liking to you, you can get along just fine. Humans, on the other hand, seem way more fixated on differences between them and someone wise, whether it be them and another human. Or them and another animal. And over time, humans have put their fixation of differences onto wild animals. So now it seems super odd when different species get along so nicely. Anything is possible if you just let nature do its thing. :) 💕
But most of this is clearly not nature doing its own thing? firstly every dog in this film is selectively bread and used to cross-species relationship. Secondly often they are manmade habitates?Don't get me wrong, I find it heartwarming and quite interresting, but there is no need to blow everything out of porportion 🙂 Edit: if anything this is a testimate to a positive outcome of human civilization which unfortilnately rarely favours animals
You must watch a lot Disney because you’re reading way too much into it. These wild animals were forced to live in their conditions and they been dumb-down.
The only reason the animals are acting this way is because of human interference. This is unrealistic, In the wild this does not happen. Look more into it, the polar bears end up eating the huskies. They left that part out
I cannot explain how it makes me feel so grateful to people like you to care for these awesome animals

When she said I wish I had friendship like that... ...........
They grew up together as babies and traumatized so they cling together. They don’t see their differences.

Do you know the square-cube law?
@@alantaylor6691 Not off hand, i don't
@@erniesulovic4734
Ok.
So to get the weight of a 12-foot man scaled from 6'0"/180 lbs:
(12/6) (to the power of 3).

I have two cats and they have a typical sibling relationship, my big male would protect my small female with his life as he has previously shown but that doesn't stop him from being the one to give her a good wallop sometimes. Ive noticed a lot of animals, especially cats, can have a "fight" and then an hour later start playing like best friends. 🤔 Just thought this might be an interesting thing to add on as mine are house cats and have fortunately never had to experience poverty. I do however have a feral living in my shed and she's a lot different personality wise. Very sweet little girl! Thank you for looking after them, they need all the help they can get. X

I think these remarkable, beautiful relationships blossom where these animals don't have to be concerned
about where their next meal is coming from or when and around what corner that deadly encounter might be.
It's because of this the lion can truly lay down with the lamb, because of food security and just plain security.
The need to find a friend is what drives us to have pets.
... and perhaps the need to matter to another being who might not fare as well without us.
Only when all our needs are so fully provided for do we have pets just as "playthings".
i would more say companion than playthings but sure
Seeing things like this just make me feel like a little child. Thank you so much.
I firmly believe so, that animals can feel complex emotion. I do not think we are 'superior' in this or that there are necessarily solely biological reasons for the development of relationships between living things 💗🌵
In fact it seems that they are more "in tune" with their senses than humans. We allow logic and rationale to prevent us to be ruled by our senses.

@@adrycough If cows aren't being treated well that's on those managing their environment. And death is part of life.
UGH I'm such a sucker for stuff like this!! The lion, tiger, and bear that were brought together thru trauma and obviously care about one another! The baby chimp holding onto the puma cub's tail as they walk! It kills me! 😅 It kicks me in the feels and I love it 😍😍🥰🥰
We need to take the time that this channel (including the crew) have to travel across the world just to film this for the world
Thanks to you all
It is a wonderful video, shows how animals have more good souls than us, human beings! They are the true master of unconditional love!❤️❤️❤️
@Wag Fag I was thinking the same thing...Humans are the ones talking care of many of them in the first place. We have good and bad in this world and it's our choice which one we feed.
The young who survive emotional trauma together are forever bonded no matter the species. Nothing can or will ever break the bond.
So true
Amen to that 🙏. So very true.
This presenter, Liz Bonnin, is among the very best ever! Congrats from Brazil! ☘️
Absolutely! Anyone who believe otherwise is so blind and foolish.
So beautiful this film! 💜
Thanks for sharing your beautiful stories, it’s a milestone for our understanding and love of animals.
Look into more the bear ended up killing the husky
Thank you for the video! What a job XD Having to find cute and adorable animals and share them to the world!
You have the most amazing job in the world. I’m so in awe of the work you do.
In wilderness, many other animals would live together
if they did not have to hunt and kill for food.
But most cats do kill birds even if their humans give them enough food...
In the first example given in the video, the black bear, tiger, and lion; black bears and tigers are generally solitary so I think it's surprising that they wanted to be together throughout adulthood
If one has never loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains incomplete.
This is a brilliantly compiled and beautiful put together video, love it.
Liz is a great presenter. She makes this very interesting!
I love the bear, tiger and lion trio. I have seen several videos of them and every time I am like oh that is so cute. It's just amazing to see them all together. But I get it, they have been together for a long time and they have their own pecking owner.
I'm blown away by watching this actually happening, before my eyes. Amazing!!
WOW! A lion, tiger and bear...now that is a badass team!!!
This was time well spent for me. Love this project. Thanks to Liz Bonnin, guest scientists, and the producers for this amazing episode!
Incredibly moving! These clips have taught me so much more than mere words ever have!❤
Here’s a little more leaning you may have not thought about if you’re interested.
So, why wouldn't there also be a certain level of empathy and care from other species towards other species as well.
If I was her professor, I’d give her a C- or less, for this documentary…
It’s like a 12-year-old child who’s never picked up a biology book wrote this documentary.
Here's the best part for the gullible religious. Why is there empathy and care from one species towards another without the need of any threats of punishment from a god?
Like us humans, no living creature (species) has ever needed any religious text, or a con-man’s advice to know what's right or wrong.
Let me know if you've ever seen any other animal, including your house-pet. That’s ever learned any morals from any religious texts, etc...
Yet... they seem to have a pretty good sense of morality.
"Anything is possible if you just let nature do its thing. :) 💕"
did you not watch the video or something?
@@jimmygentleman4885 I wouldn't call them learning to adapt to their situations/circumstances/environment Dumb down but the opposite!
They are beautiful! Their relationship is beautiful too! I only wish that human beings could learn to love each other as these have!
The only reason the animals are acting this way is because of human interference. This is unrealistic, In the wild this does not happen. Look more into it, the polar bears end up eating the huskies. They left that part out
Animals may not speak our language, but their love and loyalty speak louder than words.
This is great! Everybody being fed regularly helps to keep everything straight, yea I mean they grew up together that way!!
Thank you for the lady who took the time in her life to show the world
show the world what?
