WOW!! Hi Kris...nice to meet you. I just love the way you conducted this tutorial. The repetition you took the time to repeat after each small section was just brilliant... Actually this is the first time I've watched your tutorials and that method of repetition and reinforcement is probably the way you conducted your tutorials but I just thought I'd let you know what a brilliant idea that was especially for slow learners like myself that need constant repetition to be able to capture or memorize a new concept, fingering patterns, notations, etc. Keep up the good work

This is strikingly similar to my own arrangement. Main thing I do differently is start with one finger on my 4th string 8th fret, and another on the 1st string 7th fret. I find it easier to alternate picking the two strings instead of the A string alone. I also tend to play an Am with the 1st string 3rd fret held down as opposed to the string solo at the end of the first phrase. I also use a different G chord during the B section, and again play the Am rather than the single C note.
It's always one of the earlier arrangements I teach my students though as it's fairly easy to learn and everyone knows it.

I have never been able to memorize music. I always play with written music in front of me.
I have to say, though, this is one of the best tutorials I've ever seen. Slow and precise directions, you can see exactly where his fingers are, and he doesn't add a lot of useless banter. I have to pause and replay, but that's how I can memorize small parts at a time. Just keep doing it, over and over. I found this song to be fairly easy, but I've been playing it for years on a different instrument. I really like the way he teaches uke. Looking forward to watching and learning more. And, it's free!
