I see both sides of the argument. 1: Eda is being a protective mother because Luz is the daughter she never had and it would devastate her if anything happened to her. 2: But that said, Luz knows she can be help and just wants to be taken seriously. After all, all she's ever wanted is to be taken seriously by Eda because she looks up to her, and it would devastate her if anything happened to her surrogate mother. Nobody is wrong in this scenario.

She didn't even had to say anything more than just Owlbert.
This scene was genuinely hard to watch but this was hands down, an amazing fight. The student has learned so much from her Mentor and adopted mother.

This is such a heart breaking scene! Seeing Luz fighting the person who was like a mother-figure to her!
