The deer appears to freeze after he is discovered and looking straight at the camera. You have to give the deer credit for picking a great hiding place that only a hunter or Game Warden would notice or catch.
That is very optically strange. While you have a closeup of the animal, I'm watching the trees in the background moving across my view like the rock in on an island, drifting. I know it's your boat's movement, but weird.

Looks like a good defendable position. Steep sides can see 360° at least it appears that way. And cell phone reception is probably better lol thanks for sharing!

I'm older, eyesight not so good on phone. But if that's a point not an isle. Quite common where I live along the coast with many rivers. They can go up down or around in a second way faster than any predator cept mountain lion. Even then the risk of falling is great. Also look at orientation to sun, time of year, time of day, temp. What better way to go waterside, bask. Have scent blown away, sun bathe, etc. You could probably stand directly above that deer (maybe not you). And never know it was there. Along the rocky coast we know this . I've walked within feet of them without seeing them. If you keep walking they stay put. Stop and wait. Then it's a poker game. Usually they'll bust. I think. Because the ones that don't ill never know, will i.😂 Regardless, sorry for the reminiscing, great video and thanks!👍👍

From 0:09 to 0:31 the background is moving! It looks like a large RV covered in tree camouflage or maybe it's a large rock slide! Something odd going on there.

Looks like the head and face of a Sabe looking out from a hidey hole. Proportionately the right size as compared to the body of the goat or deer distance wise. Kinda grumpy looking that your cruise by, and scrutiny, forced him to post pone his hunt right when he had his prey cornered and almost had his lunch. That was so good, I gotta watch it again.
No the angle has changed so the light and shade are different. It’s part of the human condition to see patterns. That’s why there are so many misidentifications. But man that would have been a pic if it was true!
Perspective … imagine the deer as the hub of a bicycle wheel and as Steve drifts down the river it appears the tree line farther behind the island with the deer on it is moving.
I also see a dark face at the lower right in the dark area space, below the fawn at 5 o'clock beginning at 0:10 .The face is as large as the fawn. It looks like Steve you're looking at the fawn and the Sasquatch right below and to the right is looking at you. It's interesting how stone-faced the Sasquatch is looking out.Very little movement from him one only sees movement from him at the tail end of the filming before Steve pans out and then back in at 0:41 . It would be nice if Steve could get over there and see if there's an area behind there where, the Sasquatch was standing to see how tall he was.
