Zenyatta's final run in the Breeders Cup was the greatest drive I have ever seen. It was beyond incredible making up 20 lengths in the stretch as if the other horses were running in slow motion. She lost by a nose but I have never seen a run like that before or since.
@@cynot71 me too Looking back at all her races I think there were only 2 races she was pushed into high gear where she actually looked like she was try at the 2009 clement hirsch and the 2010 bcc. All the other races she was bobbing her head up and down ears forward passing the finish line . At those 2 races she flattened out to go faster fully stretching her gate.
Funny that Winx and Zenyatta had the same sire, Street Cry. Both came from behind. W Winx with 10 strides to every other horse's five and Zenyatta with huge bounding strides. Both mares dominated.
It wasn’t that remarkable. It wasn’t a record and it was in Canada which historically hasn’t been strong competition against tracks like Santa Anita, Churchill Downs or Saratoga. And it wasn’t his best. Frankly, he should have retired after the Belmont Stakes record breaking performance which will stand forever. There is no way he could have topped what is considered by ESPN as one of the greatest moments in sports history like wilt chamberlains 100 pt game or tiger woods -31 at the masters. The 2 most exciting races of my lifetime are secretariats Belmont and zenyattas 2009 classic. They both transcended the sport of horse racing like no other horses in history!!! They were true movie stars!!!
@@charfras4767 ok, but these were videos of "Swansongs" before retiring. Half of them were in Europe, so Canada can't be include? I'll pay closer attention, but I don't think I heard the announcers say anything about finishing their career with a track record. Not picking an argument .
@@janekiceniuk1578 I know what ur saying but it’s only the greatest of all time and his memory will always be the Belmont, Sham will always be the Kentucky derby when he had the 2nd fastest time in history but still lost.

I blame that lost on Mike Smith.

Wow. American Pharoah is a magnificent thoroughbred racehorse. Love that horse.
An absolute non bias video and true to form. This was a pleasure to watch
So domestically, but Oguri Cap 's 1990 Arima kinen is the best one of all time for Japanese fun. Now 30+ years passed, but still touching.
I’d say tiznow was the greatest out of all these, the fact he won back to back breeders cups and to do it in that style as well! A real battler.
Tiznow is Contrail’s great-grandfather. Bet he’s a bit proud of his progeny for keeping up the family tradition
cracksmen and American Pharoah were easily the most impressive
Which retired horse would you love to see return to the the track for one more race?
Zenyatta. That nose loss still stings to go out on
Zenyatta, definitely.
@@edwarddrechney1112 100% Zenyatta
The mighty Winx, without a doubt!
Zenyattas half sister, winx by street cry too, shows lightning can indeed strike 2x.
Winx was unbelievable, just wish we could of seen him race outside of Australia tho.
A mare (she)
I was just assuming it would be Frankel at one as he was always rated above Winx...
Lys Gracieux?????
Where is enable last race?
She lost!
What about St..Nicholas Abbey
Where’s Sea The Stars Arc win 🤷🏻
開幕先頭キセキで笑っちゃう
How could you not include Secretariat's last race?

Oh boy you missed the greatest final career run of all time without doubt, the 1988 Breeders Cup Distaff won by Personal Ensign.
Except the jockey on Winning Colors looked like he was so sure he was about to win he never bothered to look back to check.
Night person egypt son to father saying thanks.
