  • Good Morning! Thanks for checking out my UNBOXING of the Leki FX.One Superlite Ultra Trail trekking poles. Last August at the Angeles Crest 100 I snapped one of my original poles (I believe they were the Leki Micro Trail) and was forced to used my Black Diamond Carbon Z poles which only strengthened my love for Leki poles. So now with training picking up pace as I get ready for another season of racing Trail and Mountain Ultra Marathons it was time to spend the money and get another set of Lekis. Without hesitation I went up SkimoCo in SLC and grabbed the newest offering from Leki, the FX.One Superlite. I could tell right away that in 3 years they had made big improvements of the model I had been using. Please like and subscribe!

Apparently it’s pretty easy to swap out the middle and lower segments if they break (carbon poles are far from invincible, especially the Superlite version, which comes with its own disclaimer)-so there’s no need to replace the poles entirely. That’s what the X in FX stands for: exchangeable.

Good to know! I tripped and nearly bent one of these in half catching the fall and it didn’t break so I’m pretty impressed. I only weigh 135-140lbs, but you should’ve seen this thing bend!

On Leki''s page they claim these should be used for races only as they are not as durable as regular model.

Yeah that’s probably solid advice. Haven’t broken mine yet and I use them regularly.

Can you adapt the poles? Never used ones before, Leki is telling I should buy 1.20Cms - I’m 5’5 - I feel they may be big…. can I make them shorter or longer? Nice vid!

These are fixed length poles so they are not able to be adjusted. If you’re unsure of what length you want I’d say go find a store with any kind of poles and see what feels good for. I like a longer pole for my height, but that’s just me.
