- Moments from an afternoon with El Paso DJ Steve Crosno, credited for pioneering the "Low Rider" Golden Oldies sound. Filmed April, 2001, at his home studio in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Used to see him at Studio 14. He was so kind to us.
I loved Crosno and he so loved the kids. I was a regular on his show and lived close by. The only crazy blonde girl on the show. Loved it
I love the way he did Radio! I used to listen to B 94 FM religiously!
Omg! There's no words to describe Crosno. I would listened to his show on my way to school in the late 80s singing along to the sound of "I don't want to go to school, please let me stay here". Those were some wonderful memories
I used to hear him as a kid at KELP
I grew up hearin Crosno.
The Crosno Hop
Carino Nuevo and
Crushing with Crosno.
Steve Crasno was the voice of EL PASO
Always listened to Crosno....
Fantastic awesome person
I used to live at the Crosno Mansion, I became a very close friend with Steve. I was lucky enough to have met him when I did. Mysteriously enough my great uncle Bobby & The Premiers were connected since The Crosno Hop Tv Show. He once gave me an Original 8 track recording of my Tio Bobbys music and told me a story of how it all went down. Steve Crosno will always be in Me ,my family and all my friends hearts and soul, Crosno is forever with us not just on Sundays anymore either, everyday.
My mother had Crosno’s helper call me on my birthday. “Hey buddy, how would you like a birthday cake and to talk to Steve Crosno?” I said no and hung up. I was a shy kid. They made fun of me on the radio after that.
Really wish I took that call now, I miss listening to Crosno.
"Were not superstitious! Were Mexican!" God Bless Steve. Sundays Just arent the Same.
The Doc.
I miss crosno in the morning and the antics he pulled. I still remember the whole " You are an idiot ha hahahahaha hahaha" Sound track from the 80s
That glorious moustache
I know you're with the angels making them laugh, my very good friend, you have no idea how much I miss you, well probably you do because I know you're watching over me. You'll always be in my heart for being such a great person.... whattt?? LOL just had to throw a little of your own humor, I know you would've laughed at that. (thanks to ALTNice for making me remember that)
I remember Steve when I lived in El Paso 1973-75. He was the hardest working DJ in EP earning him the un-official title of "El Paso's Dick Clark". He was an early promoter of Tejano style music. Rock on Steve!
I remember him on XEROK, back in the 1970s.
Cancer.
I met Steve in 1973. A friendship began. He encouraged me to pursue my love for music. I became a club DJ because of Steve!
B REY XROK♥🎵🎶🕶❓
I was fortunate to have met Steve Crosno back in 1973. I visited his Las Cruces home studio through 1977. He's the one reason I DJ now.
Crosno broke the color barrier in El Paso TX . That made Radio what it is today. Love ya Crosno.
