Dear Daniel Rico, I too was born in El Paso and went to Lincoln elementary school in the early 60s. I cherished riding the mini train at Washington park and lived just across the railroad from Concordia cemetery next to Ramsey Steel company on 210 Roosevelt Ave. One day in 63 on my walk to Lincoln school I saw a bright red 1963 split-window Corvette parked at the Ramsey steel president space... GOD, to this day I have never seen a new car like it. I was looking it over for so long I was late to school and got my butt in a lot of trouble. Anyways, El Paso was a great place to grow up in. Later in the 70s we moved to LA and in 2000 my family and I moved to Seattle and it's great! Sincerely Dan
I previously studied at the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery School as a Japanese Air Force PATRIOT training course student. El Paso is a very attractive city, and it is one of the cities I would like to visit again after I retired.
Music that Steve Crosno played for "la raza" - jeff, bowie, la tech el barrio de Lincoln (where I lived), Washington Park, Dudley Field, Chico's Tacos, Evergreen/Concordia cemeteries, Herald Post, fiesta de las flores...I could go on and on here.....sweet memories for sure.
