My first HK passport was CUKC, now BNO, already have a US passport before 97. So the scheme is too late for our older generation. Moreover, keeping the status as convenient travel to some British territories.
For many older HKers, we do not believe the joint declaration would work and even beyond 2047. The younger generation has struggling lead to the new rescue executive order. This scheme is too late for older generation folks. Moreover, the PM and MPs did a right move to help HKers. She is really lookalike Sandy Lam. Her husband/BF has humorous metaphor...the Grandpa!

Whether BNO Hong Kong visa can be exempt for Life in the UK Test, it is still unclear. But one thing I can for sure is this is what the gov.uk says at the moment . www.gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test When you apply for Infinite Leave to Remain (permanent resident), most everyone will require to take that test except the following: - are under 18 - are 65 or over - have passed it before - for example, if you’re applying to become a citizen and already passed it as part of your settlement application - have a long-term physical or mental condition - you must provide either a form or letter from a doctor confirming your physical or mental condition. Again, I didn’t see any official government doc has said BNO holders can be except for Life in the UK when they apply for the Indefinite Leave To Remain. Most of us from HK who are BNO holders have taken this test when applied for the ILR.
Working Holidays visa Quota (1000) is only applied for those who have NO BNO, BNO holders have no quotas in working Holidays visa in UK because BNO holders are considered to be British nationals instead of aliens in UK

以下係估計申請 BNO VISA 後成功買機票移居英國最低費用：
1. VISA application fee: 估計約 £350 （價格參考其他VISA 申請費用）

而剛大學畢業，在 1997年出生，23歲 的年輕人，若你家境不太好，要自己儲錢，儲不到 15 萬港元，基本上也不能受惠呢個 BNO 政策。
但話說回來，其實對比其他移民方案，呢個價已經極優惠。但對於香港部分基層來說，可能也不能受惠。（共勉之）

千呼萬喚，英國內政部今日正式出咗"香港BNO簽證"詳情，重點如下︰
1. 2021年一月開始生效
2. 可以申請5年期，或先申請2年半之後再續期2年半
3. 居住5年後可申請永久居留，再12個月後可申請入籍
4. 期間可以工作或讀書，不可領取社會福利及緩助，中小學可享有免費教育
