I love how you give actually useful and “hidden feature” tips, not just the basic ones everybody heard of. Great job, looking forward another shortcut and/or iphone tips! 😊 As a new ios user your channel is very informational and helpful, thanks!
Hello. I just wanted to point out something regarding the shortcut at 4:13 - the ‘read body of text out loud’ shortcut. You point out with that the voice used is a crude and old-fashioned voice-to-text speech. But that’s just the default. It’s called David. If you go into the settings for that shortcut you can select other voices including the much better Siri voices (Siri 1 and Siri 2). After changing this setting the text will be spoken aloud in the usual Siri voice. To do this you go into Shortcuts and find the shortcut in question. You hit the 3 dots to edit the shortcut. Then you go to the last step of the shortcut which is ‘speak [safari logo] body’ and hit the little blue right-pointing arrow. This opens up the settings for the voice. At the bottom is ‘Voice’, hit that and select Siri 1/2 as you prefer. You can also change the speed the voice speaks at and the pitch here but the default is probably fine for most people. Once you’ve made your choice then hit ‘Done’ in the top right corner to save the changes you’ve made.
I’m going to have to watch this agIan…. When shortcuts came out.. i looked at them…intimidated with how to create them so have never gone back. Thanks for this!
As usual, your presentation is rather fast however very relevant! That’s why I subscribe to your channel so I can get the pdf versions! I have an awesome collection of some of your best presentations that I find relevant for me, especially since I’m not an iPhone expert! Thanks so much!
Thanks for such an informative video. So many things in there which are easy to overlook - thanks for picking out some good ones. I have a question though…the batch add reminders is so useful, BUT, it reverses the order of reminders in any list selected from an email for example. Is there any way to preserve the original order?
Excellent article. I never like any videos easily. But I did it today to encourage you to do more useful contact similar to this video. Can't wait for your next video. Thanks.
Good evening some time ago I watched a video you made and mentioned how to clarify or improve sound when making a call can you be so kind and direct me to that video
I wish I knew the search list shortcut a couple of weeks ago while car shopping. This is very useful for future reference. I love your videos. I like to think I know pretty much everything apple being former tech support but I find useful information in your videos. New subscriber. Binge watching and dropping likes!
Your great but i still get stumped when setting up short cuts. I’ve tried and then given up like 5 times. They are not very intuitive not like normal Apple functions.
I keep hearing people say, "Siri shortcuts". Correct me if I am wrong but these, in the case of an iPhone, are IOS shortcuts. Siri has nothing to do with it. Siri only gets involved when you says "Hey, Siri, do X". I need a way to have Siri RUN the short cut. Where, for example, I can say, "Siri Open Garage Door". Is this possible? TIA. If I am completely off base, please let me know that as well. Thanks.
just discovered one via someones video, there is now a shutdown shortcut, because some dont like having to press 2 buttons to turna phone off. why they switched from one im not sure.
Love your voice and channel, but I canNOT get my shortcut created. I have IPhone 8+, IOS 16.3.1. Here's what I want it to do: Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data>Clear History and Data>Close Tabs>Advanced>Website Data>. Perfect steps, but I can't get it. :(
Here’s one to make you laugh… If short form is so good - how come this video is 12 minutes long. Can’t we have a 13 page summary? Don’t worry I’m only gently Micky taking if that’s allowed in this weird and wonderful world…
Good video- thanks. I can't stand combined images/pictures- they are to small, a pain to focus on one and worse to pass along just one or two of them. Just- no.

Couldn’t you just use the chatGpt shortcut to do a resume like short form?
But I learnt lots and this was a great video even for an experienced shortcut user like me
@Santos 2018 The action overlay can add text to your picture but there is a shortcut called meme maker in the gallery that let’s you do that
You’re videos NEVER disappoint. You always manage to find things that no one else covers in their videos. Well done.
Your*
Thanks! Great video, concise explanations!

This was like opening a whole new portal for iPhone users!

I am a tech nerd. And at this point I think I know everything about tech (especially Apple) but this guy always teaches me something new.

Nice vid. Looking for "Read Body of Article Out Loud", I couldn't find it in the gallery. Was it removed? :-(
I loved all of these and will be adding them all!
Regarding turning text into audio, if not wanting to save it could you not just highlight the body of text and select read? I find that works nicely

Informative and brilliant video
I really never messed with the shortcut app. I’ll have to look and see how much it can really do.
