    How exciting it must be to sing or play in the orchestra this majestic chorus. At minute 2:50 the climax begins and I feel an indescribable emotion. The power of Handel's music

      I think the same. Handel is the composer of the Old Testament and Bach of the New Testament.

      Although some prefer the Cantor of St.Thomas of Leipzig I prefer the "magnificent Mr.Handel".

      This chorus sounds like it should be the finale doesn't it? The finale is actually a chorus "The name of the wicked" which is also a great chorus!

      Well, Handel is the Old Testament put to music while Bach is the New Testament, the "fifth evangelist".

      That's like the Wagner v Verdi, or R Strauss v G Mahler, who is better debates. For me Haendel is superior, but Bach is also mighty, but more inward.
