Just finished the series.i disagree anyone saying Han ji pyeong is a second lead. he is the main character we see in the start of the show. its a show about the main lead Han's heartbreak and love failure sacrifice of his love. this show is tragic. you said it well
OH MY GOD THANK YOU! i was so mad watching it, he literally built their relationship off of a lie, but when dal mi found out like, she was mad but it hardly changed anything??? there was so much build up of ji pyeong being her real love, she even says she loves the do san in the letters more than the current do san, but then the secret got out, ji pyeong confessed his love, and ur telling me that did NOTHING for her? bruh ji pyeong was robbed he deserved so much better.
EXACTLY. All that character development for HJP for what??? All he does is sacrifice and then does not get the girl or the grandma!!! Besides coding, what redeeming qualities does Nam Do San have???? Classic thinking “I’m a nice guy” situation bc he never gets girls...but actually he isn’t that nice.
NDS said dalmi that he is"THE LIVING BHUDDA" like seriously dude u r saying this words and then u r doing those violent things (smashing name plate, fighting with ur mentor and then begging him to help him) like seriously dude what's going on in your u r not even true to yourself and u r saying other people that I'm very calm person and all
the way i realized half way through the drama that there was no way i could bear watching 10 more episodes of nam do san staring at the floor and not know how to be a proper human (like srsly, do ppl like him actually exist) so i skimmed through 15 hours worth of drama in 3 only watching jipyeong scenes
@@creezhan his whole underdeveloped character just bothers me- this drama had such a good build-up in the first few episodes and then they just threw all the potential into outer space (i feel bad for nam joo hyuk, i would've turned down the script annnd njh's acting style just adds to nds's annoying character) 👩🦯
I used to fast forwarding the video when NDS came on screen and rolling my eyes but when hanjipyeong came on screen i use to see him in every time🥺 the way he talks the way he smiles the way he care about people around him 🖤
And Nam Do-san has a dangerous tendency to be a fraud. He felt good from the lie, and did was not truthful until getting caught. It’s alright, though. Dal-mi does not deserve Ji-pyeong. She’s blind.
HJM never cared for her existence for 15 years. He never loved her when he wrote those letters. This led her to not have a boyfriend for 15 years. It was only when grandma asked for help he cared to intervene. He could've simply met her and said he was the one who wrote those letters under the pseudonym NDS but instead of that he tried finding the real NDS. HJM is a fraud too.
'"With those hands, you beat our memories' I'm like is this for real? What about 15 years of memories? Mr. Han's Character was brought up only as a mediator between Dosan and Dalmi. Whereas Every encounter between Han Jipyeong and Dalmi is very soothingly calm, and you can feel the chemistry. Even though every stack is odd against him, his unconditional love for Dalmi is just everything. In Episode 7, I nearly broke my phone and couldn't go forward to watch it, but somehow finished the series for Mr. Han Jipyeong.
I totally agree with you. I'm on episode 7 and have become so upset with Do San's character that I can't continue watching it. I had to google if Seo Dal Me ends up with Ji Pyung because that would be the only reason I could tolerate Do San but knowing she ends up with Do San makes me not want to watch the remaining seasons. I hate him from the start but especially when in episode 7, he plays a ruthless game with the lie to the degree I can't tolerate. If Seo Dal Me ends up seeing him for who he is, then I have hope for the show but not now. I feel so sad for Han ji-pyeong who is so alone and Grandmother. They have loved each other for a very long time.
This show is for me is entirely about Han Jipyeong, not about any startup, not about the love story between Dalmi and Dosan. It's entirety about Han Jipyeong, his humble beginnings , his sorrows, his sufferings, his relationship with Halmoni and his beautiful heart. I think the writers got confused while writing all the characters, they made it almost a 'One Man Show'. There's nothing more to the story other than Han Jipyeong's life story, which is beautiful. Kim Seon Ho not only is wise choosing this role but also is an acting genius, he deserves every award, all the recognition and every attention he's been getting now.
I LOVE THIS TAKE. Han Ji Pyeong was definitely the star of the show. Everyone else besides him and the grandma should have been side characters. But if there was one thing I was happy about by the end of this drama was that that Kim Seon Ho catapulted to fame through Start Up. He definitely deserves it!!
No but seriously the character of Nam Dosan was such a pain in the behind. So many flaws, little to no redeeming qualities. He has big hands? Woow! 😍😍 such husband material!! Ugh i am still so pissed at his character lmao. The way he had the audacity to speak to HJP towards the end of the drama like they were equals. No you man child, take a few steps back, you are nowhere near what HJP is and never will be. The only think I am grateful for in this drama is introducing Kim Seonho into my life. I need to watch another Nam Joo Hyuk drama to get the toxicity of Dosan out of my system.
I am also grateful that I got introduced to Kim SeonHo through this. But WOW by the end, I felt like I could never watch a Nam Joo Hyuk drama again haha
@@creezhan i used to love nam joo hyuk in weightlifting fairy kim bok joo but now, idk if i feel the same anymore lmao also, not me watching laughter in waikiki 2 just for kim seonho lol (i promised myself before not to watch waikiki 2 bcoz the characters are different and i loved the characters on waikiki 1 but good boy happened)
Omg I’ll never EVER be over this ending!!!! 😭 How do you create a character so beautiful and not give him a proper ending? I’m still hoping for a start up 2, with good boy as the lead. I just don’t understand why this director dedicated the first episode to the arc story of its second lead, and doesn’t introduce its main lead until episode 2.. like???
Nam Do San was always the right person, the series was about a group of young people who lack self-confidence and are full of mistakes, and over time they learn how to behave. If Dalmi loved Han Ji Pyong, it becomes a mess in itself and is considered an arranged relationship through her grandmother, and this is the worst scenario. When you understand life in a better way watch the series a gain and you will know that Nam Do San was always the right choice ! You only focused on Nam Do San's faults, and if you notice Han Ji Pyong Full of defects & even though he was much older !
creezhan when he smashed the ceo’s name plate i got so scared for dalmi like wtf, those anger issues COULD LITERALLY BE PASSED ONTO HER AND SHE FOUND IT HOT?-!?:$/;! SAME THING WHEN HE BEAT UP HAN JIPYEONG, DALMI GIRL WHY DO YOU FIND ANGER ISSUES ATTRACTIVE I FIND IT TERRIFYING
@@idcifigotohell5470 she had to bail him out with the secret recording (THAT HAN JI PYEONG RECOMMENDED) otherwise they would've gone to JAIL or got slapped with a LAWSUIT!! exactly, anger issues are not attractive PLSSSS we are in 2020.
You hating Nan DoSan is very valid as well as your description of him..because that is exactly what SU is all about..youth...their lack, struggles and failures which served as their inspiration to persevere and succeed...
Dosan is a great character because is real! No one is perfect, the HJP mentor failed as a mentor, too. All of us, in the midst of our shortcomings, can make a path for ourselves to achieve our dreams. I think that is the message of the series.
I truly felt when you said ungrateful!! 🥺 I wanted more of Han Ji Pyeong and Won In Jae! Their stories are interesting! ✨ I would have like it if jinjae became a thing in Start Up. 💖
Bro u forget that Han ji pyeong and Grandma drag Nam do San at the very first place, out of nowhere, and yeah maby he did all that out of blind love and immaturity but let's not forget, he was drag into that life. And for the record good boy gained a mother figure, no need to sneak himself into the family and marry her granddaughter, it'd be hella awkward and kinda entitled .
This is what I'm clinging to. Episode 3 is called "Angel" and this could mean: (SPOILERS) 1) The grandmother is the angel who SAYS she's getting HJP to write letters to help her granddaughter, but it's also because she knows he doesn't have friends and in her wisdom, she helps them both. 2) HJP is SDM's angel. At the meet and greet, he's even wearing white, giving him a very angelic look. The lighting enhances this effect. And his white car that night looks like a godly chariot. Perhaps that was the fulfillment of his role in the drama. Good Boy watches over her, encourages her, steers her to good things and always wants the best for her even when he wants nothing in return. And much to the consternation of the audience, HJP is also the "angel" figure in getting SDM and NDS together as a couple. 3) Alex Kwon represents the devil. He rides in on a hoverboard, almost like a witch on a broom. He holds up his cell phone with "Money" on the screen, tempting NDS to San Francisco. His goatee is very devilish. He is dishonest and tricks them. He's the one who could potentially break up SDM and NDS as a couple, and literally does when he breaks apart their company. NDS is completely inadequate and in REAL LIFE he would NOT get the girl. Every time NDS and SDM look at each other and the k-drama cues the "in love" type of music, I want to barf. It's so manipulative on the part of the writers to try to force the audience to want them to fall in love just because of music. The biggest theme of the drama is making choices and then having to live with them (the sisters choose parents and then have to live with their choices, the mother leaves one man for another and then has to live with her choice). Time after time, HJP makes choices that turn him away from SDM. He denies liking her at a critical juncture. He's living with childhood trauma and doesn't know how to recognize or express his feelings. Children whose parents have died frequently have abandonment issues and sabotage love even when they want it very badly. He is avoidant most of the time. By the time he admits it to himself (and then to her), NDS and SDM have already experienced too many things together and created bonds. There really was no repairing the time HJP lost with the early choices he made. It's like the writers created a man in a fight with both hands tied behind his back. That's why I like HJP.
I thought Do-san and Dal-mi fit each other … Han Ji-pyeong is too good for Dal-mi. I would love to see Han Ji-pyeong with Won In-jae/Seo In-jae she seems more put together than her sister.
I’m totally with you on I hate Nam Dosa . Such a badly written character he is. Absolutely nothing going on for him. I totally blame the writers for this.
If hanji pyeong love dal mi he should've came infront of dal mi as nam do san telling her the truth since she won't be disappointed as she would understand that hanji peyong did that for her to cheer her up in her childhood hard life. But instead he brought the real nam do san. I think the real nam do san deserves dal mi more than hanji pyeong.
Omg! I needed this.. and thank you for saying it out loud.. everytime i remember start-up, i get so frustrated because of what the writers did to HJP’s character.. Start-up would never be a hit if not for Ji Pyeong.. I say make season 2 to give our good boy the happy ending that he truly deserves..
I FREAKING LOVE THIS VIDEO! THANK YOU. I was never a Kdrama fan but someone recommended Start-Up to me and I ended up completely empathizing and falling in love with Han Ji-Pyeong (like the rest of the world) and just despising that namdosan character. I skipped a lot of NamDoSan/Dalmi scenes and could not finish the series. I did not even know who the actors were. LOVE THIS.
I totally agree with you! Don’t forget after blaming Ji Pyeong for signing the contract that broke up the company and throwing blows, he then asks him for help and tells him about Dalmi’s grandma! Honestly towards the end I was annoyed with Dalmi for choosing him. When he asks why she likes him, her answer is just because? If you can’t give someone one redeemable quality that’s pretty messed up! Also I blame the writer’s and loathed the last several episodes. The crux of the story involved the letters and then suddenly they no longer mattered and she just forgave everyone so quickly and easily for lying to her! It seemed pretty implausible!
THANK YOU SO MUCH GIRL! I was going FERAL when I tell you FERAL for the way Han Ji-Pyeong was constantly mistreated and pushed to the side from beggining to end of the show. I just finished the series and came straight up to youtube because I was so mad about it and watching your video I couldn't help but passionately agree with you and scream it to my screen out loud xD Now I feel better
When dosan go to 2sto to talk about noongil hanjipyeong didn't get any credit at all and kept it all for himself even after timeskip he did not change at all except he is rich now.
Nam Dosan is the worst main character I’ve ever seen in a kdrama. I’ve never ever ever ever had second lead syndrome, NEVER! NEVER! Not in kdramas, not in movies, not in tv shows, it doesn’t matter from what country the show is, I’ve never had second lead syndrome. This main lead is exasperating! The only good thing about Nam Dosan is that the actor that plays him is tall and a hottie! Nothing else. I won’t say more because you pretty much summarized how we all feel about him. His pity parties were embarrassing to watch, and they occury so often that at some point I couldn’t feel anything or empathize with him anymore because of how much he was crying (oh, and how HARD did he cry, as if someone had died or something) for things that were ‘meh’? Him saying “yes” to everything that Dalmi said without thinking, without giving it a thought just to be on her good side??...do you call that being supportive?? Nope, I called that being a “yes, man” and being a yes man is never good. That’s not being supportive, that’s just being a simp for a girl you like. He is lucky he got “luck” and the writers on his side, the whole plot armor because otherwise him a Dalmi would have gone bankrupt in a blink of an eye. So much potential wasted in this drama and for what?? Nam Dosan is the most forgettable main character ever, so bland. I don’t understand how the writer spent 2-3 years writing this plot, but I guess she spent most of that time writing Han Jipyeong’s character. The last few months she wrote Nam Dosan I swear.
Maybe im just immature myself but I loved nam do san, Idk, I just found his vulnerability and awkwardness very refreshing compared to normal kdrama male leads. I think he had a lot of flaws but he was definitely a good person. I just don't know how to put it into words but I loved nam do san, and thats not because of his appearance, if anything I find han ji pyeong more attractive, but something about nam do san made me root for him. But I love han ji pyeong too
Nam do San, in my opinion acts like a teenager. Having anger issues and stuff. I can see why someone might like him, but if he was a teen. Having immaturity when you're young is fine, but this man is almost 30 and punched his mentor in the face and smashed a glass plate in a Ceo's office, which would've landed him in jail is seo dal mi didn't threaten the said Ceo. That's what I don't like about him, he isn't in a college or in school but in his workplace.
I don't even care for DoDal. I just wanted Han Jipyeong to have a proper ending and they didn't even give him that! What we got was him walking side by side with the 2 people who used him and broke his heart and we're supposed to be okay with that? Damn, I'm still fuming!
watched this for nam joo hyuk and ended up falling for ji pyeong… ughh i need to watch another NJH drama cause in my head he’s nam do san and i can’t stop myself from disliking him😩 and i love ji pyeong so muchhhh!!! tbh i’m so mad cause he and dal mi wasn’t the end game but i realised that DAL MI DOES NOT DESEVE HIM! he’s way out of her league sorry not sorry. love kim seon ho for portraying him, he’s literally my fav actor right now!! team good boy and halmoni forevaaaa!! 🤍🤍🤍
After watching start up I just realised the world is unfair even in drama. I just usually watch kdrama to have a pleasant feeling at the end, but this just left a bad taste. I just wish that when they first started writing letters han ji pyeong should have used his own name, then thing would have turned out differently
Are yall watching the same series as me or am I a weirdo. Tf yall talking about the lawyer definitely looked through and said it was good so thats not all on him. They all read it. Also she obviously grew past this nigga that i had wrote letters with. They went through growth that triumphed her past feelings. Also i feel how he reacted to that astrology shit i do the same thing. Now i will mention ive never had a girlfriend 😂 but I definitely rooted for Nam Do-san the whole time. And my friends also says im dumb with how girls feels to me. Maybe im just stupid but i like Nam Do-san was a solid guy and like Han Ji-pyeong way less. Yall say he is more generous but he obviously just does what gets him a benefit, whereas Nam Do-san does a miriad of things throughout the series to help other people out. It took Ji-pyeong a minute. And the letters are not an act of generosity. The grandma had to beg him and the only reason he did it was to pay her back. But Nam Do-san was paying anything back when he wanted to help the physically impaired. Just saying im team Nam Do-san, he relates with me more and makes more sense to me.
Oh also i wanna put this out there. I really dont ever like the mains in k-drama anyway so my favorite characters here where Nam Do-san’s friends because lets be honest. They were good ass supporting characters. I always like the male leads friends more but idk y 😂
You are definitely not a weirdo!! My brother and some of my guy friends loved Nam Do San and def related to him more. I totally get that Han Ji Pyeong took forever to shoot his shot and was looking more for the "family he never had" than romantic love. But I had to make this video because I really thought the writer started the series off strong (dad dying, orphan grandma relationship, divorce due to financial issues), only to end the series with me not liking the ANYONE AT ALL! everyone started to annoy me but this should be open discussion. team good boy and team nam do san can live peacefully here 😂😂
@@creezhan I feel like this is actually a strength of the drama. You aren’t supposed to like anyone. You are supposed to learn a lesson from each one of their character arcs.
All the people I know, male and female who watched start up (not knowing either male lead actors beforehand ) had this unanimous conclusion: WHO in their right mind would choose Nam Dosan, apart from everything else, being clingy and having a bad temper is enough to make you run a mile.
I agree with you 99%, except the part where he didn’t explain for his parents. He’s so bad at explaining that his parents would get irritated and fall asleep when listening to him lol Not his fault, but also his fault tbh. I want to rewrite Startup so bad. If it wasn’t for Nam Joo Hyuk who plays Nam Do San, I would have dropped this kdrama a looooong time ago. I’ve been a fan of him for a long time so I was really happy when he got to work with Suzy. Other characters were well written, especially the sister and the mom. The plot would have been so much better if the character Nam Do San wasn’t so bad. The overall vibes of the kdrama was super uplifting and motivating, especially the music. I also don’t get why Seo Dal Mi went for Nam Do San, except for his goddamn big hand. I get that it’s a symbol that show how he gives out his hand to lift her up when she feels like she’s going to lose to her sister. But that reason is so fxking bad in comparison to Han Ji Pyeong, who has been helping her all these years.
omg i love this explanation. THE WRITER SHOULD'VE GAVE NAM JOO HYUK MORE TO WORK WITH. All she gave us was the goddamn big hands!!! thanks so much for watching :)
Nam do san was the second lead who got the girl at the end...love without reason...not like han ji pyeong who had all the reasons but developed feelings only after he knew he is losing to Nam do san...thats not love...
I just skipped through all the boring lame pathetic attempts to regain Dosan's character and that stupid relationship between Dalmi and Dosan on episode 15 and 16. Like, it's too late, fräkers. We thought this drama will be somehow different but it turns out to be the worst of them all. All those 9+ good episodes went down the drain just to give it the cliché ending almost all kdramas have. I can't even write a good review about this drama without giving spoilers and angry rants. I wonder if Startup season 2 would be a great idea where they redeem HJP's character. I don't know. All I know is I still get easily triggered hearing things about this drama.
Omg same, like the other day, one of my friends said she liked Nam dosan, and I got triggered so bad, I didn't say anything though, it's her choice that she likes Nam do san, but her twin likes Han jipyeong and hates Nam dosan, lmaoo, we both ranted so bad about Nam dosan. I felt really good getting it off my chest, we both were so happy, we were like team good boy forever, while her other twin just watched us sh*t about Nam do san 😭. Lmaoo, later the twin on team nds said that she only likes nam dosan cause she's the actors fan and that he's handsome, she didn't have any redeeming qualities for him. But I respect her choice for liking nds, she's just rooting for her fav actor.
1. I just agree with the part where you said nam do san was wrong to hit han ji pyoeng.. 2. i guess the thing you said about nam do san not being thankful to ji pyeong is kinda wrong....the reason he wasn't thankful was because han ji pyeong was doing all those favors just for the sake of dal mi....it felt like charity to do san which made him keep doubting about his own talent...ji pyeong never appreciated the product samsan tech made , and neither was he interested to invest...he was ready to invest just for dal mi which nam do san didn't agree to..... 3. he did try to explain his parents but he didn't have the talent of showcasing his product. Also, he just made noongill...he never explained it directly to the grandma...it was dal mi who explained...basically, nam do san has the talent to build things but not sell it. 4. Nam do san started avoiding dal mi because he thought she was with han ji pyeong as he was told by ji pyeong himself...so, i guess do san was being a gentleman by not rushing to a girl who he thinks is in a relationship...he wanted to get some space from dal mi....same as how han ji pyeong asked for space later when dal mi got together with do san.. 5. Lacking social skills is not a crime...i am myself an engineer and i have met several talented engineers who lack social skills...it's not easy for an introvert to have great social skills....age doesn't matter.. 6. I loved both of them...and i guess han ji pyeong didn't get a bad ending as he was the investor of one of the most booming start up company...i don't think having a love life can be the only good ending... 7. And the reason they worked hard on tarzan was, because it's all about the accuracy...the company which has the highest accuracy in their product will have a more booming career no matter how much competition they have in the market...that's why they worked so hard...
Hello creezhan Im Latipah...Im really intriqued after reading all the views so far on RUclips channel. It had been like a Tsunami after watching Start-Up...heheee I accidently came across your views on Start-Up and in particular abt Nam Do San character after the drama had already ended almost 3+ weeks now ?... Wow ...you have succesfully identified Do San's weaknesses in 6 points. I totally agree with you on that. However despite those weaknesses you mentioned Dal Mi was still attracted to him. My arguments tho' are not centralised on Do San's character alone but more on the whole storyline. Tho' Do San's character had many faults but to me thats the writer's prerogative. Just like how the writer shaped Jipyeong's caharacter which was miles apart compared to Do San. What irked me is that the writer somehow got lost in her own storyline. Hence there were some discrepancies and some scenes that dont make sense. Like... 1. Dal Mi did answer to her granny's question abt who she would FINALLY choose ..will it be the Do San whom she met or Do San who wrote her for the last 15 yrs ? Her answer was she would obviously choose Do San that wrote her. In the end her real choice was different. My point is why you answered that way if you are unsure. 2. She literally told Do San to leave her . I mean if you really loved the guy why would you do that? I think at this juncture of the story the writer could just end it with Dal Mi following Do San to Frisco. Thats it. The End. 3. The story continues after 3 years of separation and Do San came back. The plot was just to get Do San and Dal Mi back together. Why? I dont get this twist in the story. 4. If the main plot is just about Do San and Dal Mi , the writer should just focussed on Do San and Dal Mi..why emphasis and the detours on Jipyeong ? 5. What is the significance of introducing Yeo Jin-goo's character at the end of the episode ? Why the need of Lee Bo-young's cameo appearance in the drama? No doubt she gave some advise to Dal Mi and Do San who overheard their conversation and later to Jipyeong but nothing came out of it. No effect on the plot. 6. The end was however abrupt with Jipyeong giving in to Do San. Despite all the protecting and support Jipyeong and Dal Mi gave to each other they just said goodbye and went on their own way. So cold I would think. I supposed the writer just wanted to end it all by burying all pending issues due to a writer's block she's experiencing...I think..hehee 7. Last but not least is the major flaw in the story ..the writer has lost the main plot of the story i.e according to the title it is about how to start up companies...but writer dwelled too much on Do San and Dal Mi finding each other. Also the writer did not focus much on the feud between Dal Mi and Injae . I would expect sparks would flew between Dalmi and her sister but it didnt happen. Well anyway the storyline is a copy right to the script drama writer. I heard that the writer is a woman. Hmmm...Hope she can write a better drama script in future. Finally I would say it is a blessing in disguise for Kim Seon Ho for his role as Jipyeong. It has caused a sensational uproar for him. His luck is shining all the way to stardom. On the other hand I cant say much for Nam Joo-hyuk and Bae Suzy. I've yet to view fans ranting about Dal Mi. Regards . Latipah 28/12/2020 p.s. Maybe we could chat on twitter too..my tweet handle is @mecananga. Dont worry I've got yours here.
@@creezhan Good Morning .....Yes exactly.. Maybe we cud chat over twitter ...RUclips is kind of cumbersome for me... Thank you for replying. Latipah 30/12/2020
I feel bad about Han ji pyeong. But thete is nothing wrong. Do san deserves her. Because Once she found out that he is lieing. He said her to start considering him as a normal guy... later she understood he is the real one for her. + Han only lover her after a half moment from the show . He didnt like her before later that feelings was developed. But the moment Dosan saw her, thrre was a spark.. Dosan deserves her more than Han ji do. .... Itsthe fact
The reason I hate NDS is mainly the same reason HJP dislikes him from the very beginning: Unlike HJP, NDS can absolutely not separate business from private life decisions. I mean we are talking about a boy who actually gets pissed at his mentor HJP although this very HJP at their very first meeting saved NDS from showing his code to random strangers for free, giving away his algorithm....for that alone NDS owed him his life if you ask me. Then HJP always tells him and Samsan-tech what they should avoid and not do to not fuck up their business. But hey it all doesnt matter anymore because HJP likes the same girl! OMG! We must hate HJP now! How can he!? So little NDS goes on while HJP is calling sick for ONE day to not only have the genius idea to sell his company to americans (for the sole reason so that HJP doesnt invest and therefore become more involved in SDM life, no business reason was behind this whatsoever) and even persuades everybody else including SDM so that nobody even bothers fucking asking their mentor HJP about if this deal is shady or not and then suprise suprise they get fucked hard and THEN NDS even punches HJP when HJP simply re-states the facts of what is happening right now!? Srsly, NDS you are a childish bitchy ass motherfucker and I would have loved to smash your stupid face for good at this point. The second reason is the last 5 episodes.....The last 5 episodes are pure bullshit, the time gap makes no sense, its as if nothing changed ever (no character in 3 years got to know ANYBODY else in the world, yet alone date), NDS and SDM stay exactly the same characterwise (NDS's friends even evolve to a point where you actually like them both) and all they do is whine and moan around with whats so supposed to be romantic music in the background but it becomes so ridiculous that you have to eye-roll every 20 seconds. After this time gap, I also started hating SDM which was my favorite character throughout the first 10 episodes along with HJP. HJP doesnt have to get the girl but at least have SDM and NDS grow from childs to adults and have NDS realize that his "business decisions" were pure shit and apologize to HJP and start listening to him business-wise (just like Yong-san does which is only a side character). But no, NDS tells HJP in the elevator again that he has "no regrets" and likes to "sail off without a map", stating that he would absolutely do all this bullshit business decisions again! I mean wtf should ppl take away from this other than "if you believe and love, your dreams come true" well sry honey that doesnt work in the business world...so FU NDS, just FU... You earned yourself a thumbs up and a sub btw for this video:)
I haven't even watched the video yet, but as someone who was a die hard Han Ji Pyeong stan from the beginning, I can tell ill agree. Nam Do San has a lot of violent and impulsive acts like smashing the nameplate or starting a fight with Han Ji Pyeong when Ji Pyeong was just telling his team the truth about how they were dumb for signing the contract?? Not only that, but the way the show starts it made it seem like Ji Pyeong was gonna be the lead character, and let's not forget how much he helped Nam Do San in the beginning, Dalmi wouldn't even know Do San if it wasn't for him
ON GOD!! girl i just finished the series and i almost cried of anger bc this is just SO not fair for han jipyung!! everything about nam dosan made me hate him he was violent, untrustworthy, immature, and ungrateful. i literally wrote a whole ass argumentative essay on my personal journal talking about how han jipyung deserved better. glad u've made this video. great work
I really really hate him to a core. Honestly, Do San always seems to show up at the wrong times (or the right times if you like viewing it like that) where Ji Pyeong should have been but he just comes in at that time and says exactly what Dal Mi wants to hear. Ji Pyeong is a realist so he'll give you critiques and put down bad ideas, but Do San is just like "I'll do what you want" even if it means it can potentially hurt them. Dal Mi likes taking risks which is why she loved the stuff Do San told her about risk taking. Do San's character is just very annoying and very clingy it made me hate that character so much, and it even made me feel so bad for Ji Pyeong. Honestly I thought it was an unpopular opinion I had, but turns out all my friends hate Do San too. Nobody deserves to be with Dal Mi more than Ji Pyeong does. He was there for her when nobody was around her other than her grandma and when she needed a friend he was there. For 15 years, he had to live a lie even after they met the real Do San. Other than the love triangle aspect, I just hate the entirety of Do San's character design, and how he's so stupid, will keep calling you until you turn your phone off, immature etc. He said "I've changed over these past 3 years" but nope he's still the same stupid kid who thinks he's doing the right thing. Everyone even his 2 best friends had major character development 3 years later, and then there's him.. same exact person. He's a fraud who lied about everything from when he was younger to today. He could have easily told Dal Mi the truth but didn't because 1) the most obvious reason is because it made her happy and 2) because Ji Pyeong's past (the letters) is what makes Dal Mi love him and he didn't want that to end. Many could argue that the grandma did stop him, but deep down I know he himself wanted that to happen.
I stopped watching the series at the 4th episode. I just couldn't bear watching more heartbreaking hjp scenes. Them playing go was my breaking point. Took a break for a few days , somehow made up my heart and continued to watch till the end. My only consolation was the last episode where han ji pyeong meets yeong shil cameo.
YES YES YES, the only thing in start up that is a RELIEVE to me is that well, actually seo dal mi doesn't deserve HJP anyway. and the way they treat HJP as their mentor makes me want to kill myself, SO RUDEEEE. don't they know how to listen and act politely to mentors :/ after all the things HJP do for them
I'm for Nam Do San, even though my friends are not. I listened very carefully to this attack. You don't like rationalists, I do. The times he tried to explain the flaws in religion and/ or silly misunderstandings like linking blood types to personality traits endeared him to me. He doesn't just poo-poo these things. I loved the scene where he explains the kind of tests you would need to do to prove that your deceased ancestors had intervened on your behalf to correct "text neck." I loved him because he was loyal to his friends and invited them into his start-up even though they did not bring any money to invest. Everyone seems to have forgotten that the reason he did not tell Dal mi that he was not her former pen pal is that her grandmother asked him not to tell. She says that Dal mi has been so much happier since they started working together that she doesn't him to spoil her happiness. When Dal mi later confronts him, he is so devastated that he doesn't even bring this up.
2 things disappointed me the most 1. After knowing the truth not even once acknowledged Han ji peong for writing those letters which consoled her especially since she was searching him for 18 yrs. 2. In the climax sequence there was a shot in a table with various pictures of their marriage, family pics etc but not even a single pic of HJP who is the soul of the story😢😢.
wow you really hate him hahaha i think this drama was meh thats why i didnt get attached so much with the characters, but i read many comments who hate nam do san, so i was curious
I watched Start up last week and I agree with your reasons for hating Nam Dosan. At first I give Nam Dosan a chance for getting Dalmi but in the end he doesn't have any character development, he even not acknowledge/mention Han Jipyeong for his good deeds to Dalmi where as Han Jipyeong always tells Dalmi his good deeds. Also his anger management issues is a red flag, I thought he will change because of what happened for the owner of Morning Group but it is a meh 😑 he still use his fist. Also Dalmi didn't even give Han Jipyeong a chance even though he was her first love, it's just swept under a rug. I have so many things to tell 😅.
Not even finished watching the drama but I know where this is headed. Not much of a mystery when Nam Do San gets all the screen time with Dal Mi. Friggin hate this jerk. The way he tries to cut Ji Pyong out of Dal Mi's life (and Grandma's house!) despite having stolen his history was rude. He pretends to be this shy, know-nothing boy in front of Dal Mi and Grandma but a true judge of character is how someone treats others and he's failed the test countless times. If Dal Mi hadn't found out the truth on her own, how long would he have been ok with lying to her for his own happiness?
I have now watched your video and I agree with most of what you have said. I will also add that I found DoSan's crying scenes very irritating. He cried almost in every episode and I hardly ever empathised with him whereas I cried buckets every time that Ji Pyeong tried to hide his tears and his pain. I found DoSan immature, selfish, ungrateful, and with a sense of entitlement. I just didn't hate him to the same degree as you. I also agree that DalMi and DoSan deserve each other. Ji Pyeong is too good for DalMi . He deserves someone as sweet and capable of selfless love as Halmoni, by his side.
I’m not gonna lie tho,IMO HJP had his fair share of moments that made him a very unlikable character. he was very hypocritical at times with his self righteous behaviour that he would turn off for people who he didn’t want to be out of favour with. Not to mention, everyone complains about nam do san playing the victim card everytime which yes is true, he did do it any times but I can’t help but remember HJP always being so easily aggravated at the smallest of things always assuming the worst in people he could never have a civil conversation with anyone(except the people he cared for) he was always a prick to his lower ranked co workers(yes the drama made it very light hearted but if he acted that way in real life to his co workers trust me no one would like him) so yes NDS had his flaws but I really don’t see why people try to portray HJP like he didn’t have his own fair share of toxic traits
I haven't watched the video yet as I'm still on the 11th episode. I haven't really liked Do San from the start but he is growing more and more annoying now. To start with, why is he so resentful of Ji Pyong? He is always rude and hostile with him - even when Ji Pyong is giving him valuable advice for the Demo Day. TBH, I am starting to dislike Dal Mi too. She knows how JiPyeong's inputs had been invaluable to Samsan Tech's victory at the demo day. He stopped the three morons from giving away their algorithm without knowing it. He pointed out pertinent flaws in their shares distribution, he helped with their pitch at the hackathon, he offered to be their plan B investor to take the pressure off them, he compiled a list of potential investors for their Noongil project, he aven answered all of her 4 hundred something questions. She knows all of this but she doesn't even mention him while celebrating on stage! Not even in her thoughts? In fact, ever since she found that he had written all those letters, she completely disregards the credit he deserves for the support, encouragement and friendship he had offered back then. I do not see her offering him a sincere thank you. I don't know - everyone seems to accept his help without recognizing him in the least. But Ji Pyeong is a strong character. He might get hurt but I know he can brush it all off and move on. It is just so unfair that he has to do so.
Honestly rest of the things aside. I don't get why Nam dosan was so salty towards Dalmi when he returned from silicon Valley, like she's your ex, you broke up due your own mistake, both of you apparently don't know about long distance relationship and signed the contract without asking your mentor. It's literally like they were handed an experienced person who can teach them the ropes of the start up world on a golden platter and they decided not to use this golden opportunity because of jealousy??? Can you please just separate your private life from work life?? This is just shows how unfit they are to be leaders, they cannot put aside their own problems for the benefit of others. And he asked her to go away after she traveled miles to meet him? I get that you are salty but you're asking her to go away in the middle of the night. It was her choice to come but sending her away was stupid. Reminded me when he left her drunk in the middle of the night to go and wear a suit and then later decided that she doesn't need to see it. Why would you leave a drunk girl alone at night? Did he check with grandma to see if she reached home alright?? No he didn't. He couldn't take care of basic safety of human 🤦♀️. He has no wits or social skills, he's a grown up human who's almost 30, how are we supposed to sympathize with him. Just because you're a computer genius doesn't give you the excuse to be emotionally stunted. And you said to his dad I don't wanna be your trophy and pride, and them goes to Dalmi to say you're my trophy and pride. Like you dethroned your father only to put up a girl to whom you've been lying the whole time and know that there is a big xhane she'll leave you after she knows the truth?? He's violent, emotionally stunted, a hypocrite, has inferiority complex against jp (when jipyeongs seen worse times), is entitled, is ungrateful. How am I supposed to root for him???
I think the writers want Nam do San to be the stereotypical nerd who has no social skills but this will work if he was alone without the two friends. Anyway great video
I don't think no one will say this so I'll say it. I hated this particular thing in the show of them being too comfortable around their workspace. Bringing personal feeling and making their colleagues have to deal with their decisions made by personal feelings, not professional thoughts. I know they are not professionals like Jipyeong and In-Jae but everyone must realize sooner or later that they can't keep naking decisions and points out of their desperate need to have the person they like supports you or you feeling like you're supporting and helping them. Many times Do San has made decision because he wanted to impress or be with Dal-mi jepredizing his friends who are also on the edge, and Dal-mi making Do San always back him up and also supporting anything he says or does just because of her feeling and not taking the others into consideration. Sadly, at the end of the day because of the nature of this show no mather what risks you take everything eventually will be alright and happy sunshines because of the nature of this show. This is honestly what pisses me off about the show the most. Just ⁸ opinion like to hear what others would say about this and my opinion.
This is so on point man....the show could have been saved if after these 2 idiots sold their company with a shady contract to the americans which got them fucked hard and disbanded learned their lesson that there is no place for personal feelings in business related decisions and apologize to HJP for not even asking him about this deal or its contract and realize they just dont have what it takes to run a business on their own (and thus then apply at In-Jae's company so that there is a professional CEO where they can all bring their strenghts in (coding for NDS, organizing, vision and strategy from SDM) while dropping their weaknesses (everything business related). That would have been a nice character evolution and redemption for the two while at the same time doing HJP justice that he was always right when it came to business related stuff and always tried to help them.
I feel like people only like Nam Do San because his actor Nam Joo Hyuk (who is god sent). Also a side note that isn’t talked about enough is how bad his friends were…they were useless. Literally. They were likable but what was their jobs? I never seen them coding?
Nam Do San wasn’t too bad to me, but I couldn’t stand how he has no resilience, Dalmi did have her feelings get hurt but she accepted the criticism and what did that lead to? Her learning so much and becoming a great ceo, that’s why Nam do San couldn’t be a ceo not only he didn’t have confidence but also no resilience. But the scene where Han Ji Pyeong was telling the absolute truth how it was their fault for not reading it and Nam Do San decided to punch him? That’s really ticked me off
I feel like when she found out about the lying, she should just left them both. All of them had been lying and gaslighting her. I rooted for HJP tho, because he did it to pay his debt to grandma, while NDS kept with the lie because it felt good for himself.
I super duper agree with your reasons. Dodal will have divorce within a year 'cause Dalmi married him when she does not know how he acts when his insecurities kick in.
I’m only on ep 14 and yes I know the ending may change my perspective but I don’t think I’ll be able to forget just how much of a manipulative person Han ji pyeong is. Not to mention he is an absolute hypocrite ( is all like “my job is to be harsh and state facts” to Yong san and refuses to apologise after the achiring, but as soon as it affects someone who’s valuable to him he completely switches up and is all like “I’m so sorry I was like that” to the girl he likes) my point is if he tries to put up such a professional front he should be consistent with it and not act so self righteous. He’s always the first to get aggravated at the smallest of interactions and always plays the victim. Yes he has his moments where you can’t help but like him but all his not so wholesome moments are things I personally just can’t ignore🤷♂️ maybe the reason he annoys me this much is because I know a very important figure in my life who is very similar to him but eh my point still stands. Also I’m not disagreeing to the video but rather just adding my own 2 cents.
right off the bat "entitlement". 2 loving parents? they might be loving but the pressure put on him was intense especially from the father, even when asked what his dream was, his dad pushed a dream onto him, and so he never knew what his dream was. 2 bestfriends since young? they only met in college. given the time frame, him in his 20s, they've only known each other a few years. so to call them childhood friends or friends for a long time is not a fair statement. he also hardly had friends growing up due to his advanced intellect because people older than him felt jealous and incompetent when up against him, leaving him lonely and dejected and hence dropping out of college at middle school age, and then loving parents? his dad didn't even bother finding out why but just pushed the idea of him being so smart and wasting it by dropping out. his character developement perhaps wasn't the best but people saying he was robbed? i believe dal-mi did go through a phase of confusion, but even so she chose do-san. he did build the rs off a lie, but technically han ji pyeong did too. in fact, it was HJP that started the lie, but he never went to her. it was do-san. and it was do-san that she got to know. maybe his status and wealth were a lie, but as dal-mi said, there were some odd moments she felt he was different from the letters, and so dal-mi got to know do-san -- maybe half fake and half real do-san. but she never got to know the real HYP behind the letters because he never came forward with it. in fact it was do-san who suggested telling her the truth and not HJP, HJP tried to stop it and when their rs was growing he tried to break it up. childlike behavior. man's barely had the time to grow up as a child. middle school age in college, he was being pushed by his dad in his young age the same way college students were being pushed. i believe it was just his inner child coming out of him. why HJP didn't have this? he was raised in an orphanage, maybe not shown much but he was taken care as he grew up accordingly. and when he had nowhere to go, grandma gave him a place to belong and took care of him, never pressuring him for anything. but do-san? even when he grew up, it was all about meeting his dad's expectations to the point he didn't even dare to face him because he felt incompetent. but he wasn't, he just didn't know how to use his talents. why? his dad always asked for results, but never guided him, unlike how HJP was guided after he left the orphanage. i don't hate either characters and i believe they are both equally undeserving for their actions, but dal-mi chose. no one was robbed. there's so much flawed logic in this argument of HATING do-san. edit: to say he felt good living a lie, please you're selectively watching. he enjoyed his moments with dal-mi, but he never enjoyed lying to her, it ate him alive. and the fact is, he didn't even do it for money or his business, he did it for dal-mi. meanwhile HJP still told dal-mi about how it first happened and when dal-mi said "so he did it for money", HJP said "maybe at first, but after that it wasn't". what a blatant lie to put do-san in a bad light, do-san never got anything out of showing up, what he asked for wasn't given, but he still went. the lie snowballed and it was HJP who continued pouring into the lie, i.e. asking do-san to use his apt as his office, buying him suits to look good, asking do-san to check with him when texting, lending him the car. do-san never asked for it to continue, but he was ~10 years younger than HJP, with not much life experience. while HJP was a successful person, as a person trying to find his way, do-san could only follow his lead. violence? he never had violence. when he was angry he always knitted. he only got violent when people were hurting dal-mi. not just a surface, over-sight hurt, but when they intentionally hurt her with words
Yeah this video is extremely biased. They just have SLS. In all seriousness, Ji Pyeong also had problems. All of these problems that were stated in this video, HJP had them too. He even imagined a scenario where NDS got upset over the scrunchie. So he's not mature as people state. But I do think in comparison, NDS has been more immature. And the only downright wrong thing he did was hitting HJP, but people act like that when they are mad. Other times when he got mad he just knitted. I do believe that NDS could have been written better, but this video is just blatant hating because all of the issues NDS had, HJP had them too.
Start Up is all about YOUTH..their lack, mistakes, failures which served as their inspiration to persevere and succeed...just a reminder..cause I think some viewers MISSED the whole point of the drama..i
What I hated about this drama is that at second half, the writer and every tech character turned against HJP like a bunch of childish kids for whatever reasons, even a random murder plot came up, and the one who has the redemption arc you mentioned is HJP himself! And this is so unfair because if he’s the only one to redeem himself it means he’s the wrong one? The villain? Do-san can be possessive and immature at will and that’s ok? No way sir! #teamGoodBoy
#teamGoodBoy all the way!! Dosan gets so many passes because he's a "nice guy" or "underdog". Just because you are the dark horse in the race doesn't mean you can be possessive, rude, and unkind!!
I only watched 10 episodes because I was too sick of seeing Nam Do San. I watch korea for entertainment, not to be annoyed and curse haha. so I decided to stop watching.
Just finished the series.i disagree anyone saying Han ji pyeong is a second lead. he is the main character we see in the start of the show. its a show about the main lead Han's heartbreak and love failure sacrifice of his love. this show is tragic. you said it well
PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you said it so well too. i love your take! thank you for watching and sharing that insight
THIS
There should be a season 2 where Dal Mi realizes she chose wrong...
Totally should
OH MY GOD THANK YOU! i was so mad watching it, he literally built their relationship off of a lie, but when dal mi found out like, she was mad but it hardly changed anything??? there was so much build up of ji pyeong being her real love, she even says she loves the do san in the letters more than the current do san, but then the secret got out, ji pyeong confessed his love, and ur telling me that did NOTHING for her? bruh ji pyeong was robbed he deserved so much better.
OMG YES, when dal mi finds out han ji Pyeong is her first love she does NOTHING like NOTHING and I hate how it's always ji pyeong who sacrifices 😔
Honestly you did yourself a favor...by the end every time NDS came on the screen I was rolling my eyes 🙄🤚
I used to fast forwarding the video when NDS came on screen and rolling my eyes but when hanjipyeong came on screen i use to see him in every time🥺 the way he talks the way he smiles the way he care about people around him 🖤
Same I skipped all scenes that had nam dosan
And Nam Do-san has a dangerous tendency to be a fraud. He felt good from the lie, and did was not truthful until getting caught. It’s alright, though. Dal-mi does not deserve Ji-pyeong. She’s blind.
100% agree. She does not deserve HJP!! And Nam Do San's big ego is so annoying!! He doesn't feel bad about anything unless he's caught red-handed.
@@creezhan This... And then once he's caught, the waterworks turn on "poor me whomade bad choices and now has to own upto them"
Lol Hjp also told nam dosan not to tell the truth to dal mi
Finally someone said it! It breaks my heart to see Han he deserves so much so much better! Thank you!
Right?? I finally found my people haha Han Ji Pyeong deserves justice. Thank you too!!!
I think too....
Why I'm feel sad even I know that this is just an acting
........
I hate the director to be honest
This drama makes me cry literally
@@Shahla___.20 ik like it's just a drama it just feels bad
@@creezhan i used to love nam joo hyuk in weightlifting fairy kim bok joo but now, idk if i feel the same anymore lmao
also, not me watching laughter in waikiki 2 just for kim seonho lol (i promised myself before not to watch waikiki 2 bcoz the characters are different and i loved the characters on waikiki 1 but good boy happened)
I absolutely DESPISED Nam Dosan. He was immature, zero character development, anger issues, and just had zero chemistry with Dalmi.
PERIOD!!!!! Thank you for saying it. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
creezhan when he smashed the ceo’s name plate i got so scared for dalmi like wtf, those anger issues COULD LITERALLY BE PASSED ONTO HER AND SHE FOUND IT HOT?-!?:$/;!
If i ever became a script-writer, i'mma give Han Jipyeong a better love story.
I truly felt when you said ungrateful!! 🥺
I wanted more of Han Ji Pyeong and Won In Jae! Their stories are interesting! ✨
I would have like it if jinjae became a thing in Start Up. 💖
AGREED. It's so crazy that I liked Won In Jae more than Nam Do San by the end LMAOOO
@@creezhan SEO IN JAE
@@creezhan what really!!! In jae comes nowhere close to him....
Bestie, thank you for saying it. I just finished watching it and I am absolutely frustrated.
This is what I'm clinging to. Episode 3 is called "Angel" and this could mean: (SPOILERS)
1) The grandmother is the angel who SAYS she's getting HJP to write letters to help her granddaughter, but it's also because she knows he doesn't have friends and in her wisdom, she helps them both.
Of all the languages you could speak, you spoke the truth
It's amazing how he's a genius programmer, and somehow have an I.Q. of a starfish on its puberty for having no common sense.
stop i'm dying at this comment lmaooooo

he's so dumb and stubborn like bitch you aint shit
Thank you ❤️I needed this video 👍team good boy all the way 🥰
YAYYYY I needed to vent too so thank you for watching Lola!!
LOVE THIS.
I’m not even team Han Pi Yeong because I don’t care about him ending up with Dal Mi. He just deserves so much better‼️
Yeah dalmi doesnt deserve him!!
EXACTLY!!!!!! his character development was more money...and not in a good way.
totally agree
But I had to make this video because I really thought the writer started the series off strong (dad dying, orphan grandma relationship, divorce due to financial issues), only to end the series with me not liking the ANYONE AT ALL! everyone started to annoy me but this should be open discussion. team good boy and team nam do san can live peacefully here 😂😂
@@creezhan thank you. Thought i was the only one.
Your not weird at all 😀 I think the hate Dosan is ridiculous tbh, people are just nitpicking at everything he does.
PERIOD!!!!!!!!! 100% agree
Nam do san was the second lead who got the girl at the end...love without reason...not like han ji pyeong who had all the reasons but developed feelings only after he knew he is losing to Nam do san...thats not love...
thats correct
I am late to this series fibished it an hour ago, I am so heart broken with this series
As an introvert , I myself can relate to the nam do san's character
whoa. you sure tell them. haha. Love your take on that character.
literally thank you for this !
no thank YOU for watching!!
Hello creezhan
Im Latipah...Im really intriqued after reading all the views so far on RUclips channel. It had been like a Tsunami after watching Start-Up...heheee
I accidently came across your views on Start-Up and in particular abt Nam Do San character after the drama had already ended almost 3+ weeks now ?...
Like...
1. Dal Mi did answer to her granny's question abt who she would FINALLY choose ..will it be the Do San
whom she met or Do San who wrote her for the last 15 yrs ? Her answer was she would obviously
choose Do San that wrote her.
The plot was just to
get Do San and Dal Mi back together.
Why? I dont get this twist in the story.
4. If the main plot is just about Do San and Dal Mi , the writer should just focussed on Do San and Dal
Mi..why emphasis and the detours on Jipyeong ?
5. What is the significance of introducing Yeo Jin-goo's character at the end of the episode ?
Why the need of Lee Bo-young's cameo appearance in the drama?
No doubt she gave some advise to Dal Mi and Do San who overheard their conversation and later to
Jipyeong but nothing came out of it. No effect on the plot.
6. The end was however abrupt with Jipyeong giving in to Do San.
Despite all the protecting and support Jipyeong and Dal Mi gave to each other they just said goodbye
and went on their own way. So cold I would think.
I supposed the writer just wanted to end it all by burying all pending issues due to a writer's block
she's experiencing...I think..hehee
7. Last but not least is the major flaw in the story ..the writer has lost the main plot of the story i.e
according to the title it is about how to start up companies...but writer dwelled too much on Do
San and Dal Mi finding each other. Also the writer did not focus much on the feud between Dal Mi
and Injae .
It has caused a
sensational uproar for him. His luck is shining all the way to stardom. On the other hand I cant say
much for Nam Joo-hyuk and Bae Suzy. I've yet to view fans ranting about Dal Mi.
Regards .

Exactly...I’m grateful to the writer for helping Kim Seon Ho’s career but nothing else 😂😂😂

Good Morning .....Yes exactly..
Maybe we cud chat over twitter ...RUclips is kind of cumbersome for me...
Thank you for replying.

AMEN!!! Thank you!!
no thank you for affirming that i'm not alone!!
Not only that, but the way the show starts it made it seem like Ji Pyeong was gonna be the lead character, and let's not forget how much he helped Nam Do San in the beginning, Dalmi wouldn't even know Do San if it wasn't for him
How would Han Ji Pyung be affected if Dal-mi's grandmother passed away, and how would it shape the storyline?
You're literally so on point...
I agree with everything you said...
Han ji pyeong deserves the world....!!!
ON GOD!! girl i just finished the series and i almost cried of anger bc this is just SO not fair for han jipyung!!
everything about nam dosan made me hate him he was violent, untrustworthy, immature, and ungrateful.
i literally wrote a whole ass argumentative essay on my personal journal talking about how han jipyung deserved better.
glad u've made this video. great work
If he never lied she would’ve been with her but instead he lied
don't worry guys we have philippine adaptation watch the #Start Up PH good boy/han ji pyeong have a good ending he is the main lead for dalmi😊💖
My only consolation was the last episode where han ji pyeong meets yeong shil cameo.
i could barely finish 10 episodes then i stopped watching its so annoying to watch nam do san
Thank you for this!
YES YES YES, the only thing in start up that is a RELIEVE to me is that well, actually seo dal mi doesn't deserve HJP anyway.
and the way they treat HJP as their mentor makes me want to kill myself, SO RUDEEEE. don't they know how to listen and act politely to mentors :/ after all the things HJP do for them
I just watched start up and typed I HATE NAM DO SAN in google then find this. thank you miss, this has to be said!
They are so ungrateful!!!!!!! HJP deserves justice. But thanks for finding this video so we can rant together ❤️
I love han and grandma among all the characters
OMG finally someone could put in words my thoughts! Thank you ❤️
2 things disappointed me the most
I LOVE YOU FOR THIS THANK YOU! nam do san owes everything to han jipyeong smh
wow you really hate him hahaha i think this drama was meh thats why i didnt get attached so much with the characters, but i read many comments who hate nam do san, so i was curious
I was definitely way too invested hahaha. Thanks for watching!
I need videos like these for closure 😂
The beepbopbeepbloop gets me every time
NEW SUBSCRIBER ALERT 🚨!!!!
OMG GIRLLLL OMG GIRLLLLLL SOMEONE HAD TO SAY ITTT!!!!!! UGGGGGGGHHHHHH
YESSs I agree 10000% Team HJP ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
THANK YOU!!❤️❤️
Yes yes!!! Same thoughts 💪
NDS literally was the only one to gain something from the lie. Everyone else lost.
Team good boy ❤️
Girl, you said everything I'd wanted to hear/
I totally agree with the points you picked ...
Lmao I was the only one thinking if he was like that I’m Weightlifting Fairy then Bok Joo would have beat the sh*t out of him 🤷🏻♀️😂
I think the writers want Nam do San to be the stereotypical nerd who has no social skills but this will work if he was alone without the two friends.
I completely agree with youu💯💯💯💯
HAN JI-PYEONG DESERVES BETTER
ooffo i just cmptd start up i thought im the only one who hates nam do san thnk god.....
Omg #5 is the winner
they can be dumb together and GTFO!!!
I super duper agree with your reasons. Dodal will have divorce within a year 'cause Dalmi married him when she does not know how he acts when his insecurities kick in.
the mic is working real well
Garage band mics for the win 😂
I never had hate a main lead like Nam Dosan. Seriously, he is so annoying 🥱
I am in good boy's team forever and I ship Dalmi and Han JI- pyeong❤💜💜🧡
Start Up is all about YOUTH..their lack, mistakes, failures which served as their inspiration to persevere and succeed...just a reminder..cause I think some viewers MISSED the whole point of the drama..i
THE *GUITAR HERO* MIC ☠️
I’m dead 🪦🪦🪦 calling me out
Yeah! that's totally right👍
He handsome, but his personality is a no no
What I hated about this drama is that at second half, the writer and every tech character turned against HJP like a bunch of childish kids for whatever reasons, even a random murder plot came up, and the one who has the redemption arc you mentioned is HJP himself!
Team Good boy all the way💙💜
I only watched 10 episodes because I was too sick of seeing Nam Do San. I watch korea for entertainment, not to be annoyed and curse haha. so I decided to stop watching.
