Happy 4th of July to all our American viewers! We made it back to the claim for a quick trip, but we're so glad we did! Lots of visible gold and underwater "woohoos" beautiful sunny weather, and a big big clean up to show for our efforts!

@@twodudesonedredge no was lucky enough to find them while digging the river we're not aloud to dredge here in the UK I'm just lucky enough to live 70 miles from the gold belt 🤪 would love a blast on a dredge though

We have an orange clay that looks like that stuff your dredging, here in N.C and it usually has good values in it.
Yeah this stuff has been good for us. The gold can’t make its way to deep through it.

That’s a great total your definitely on it I always wonder how much fine gold a dredge loses because of the high water flow have you ever tried putting a metal tub at the end of the sluice to check? When I find a paystreak in the creeks I prospect it’s usually mostly black sands and little heavies and it’s not tight packed it’s usually loose material is it the same in a river and can you tell from the gravels if it’s a pay streak? We have tested the tailings about once per season and have generally found one or twin”fly poops” tiny specs

We try to go down a reasonable depth in it.
