The terrifying part is, you can see conscious level design choices for most of this race. They didn't just throw a bunch of tracks down at random and call it a day.

Actually the track creator said in another comment thread that they did, in fact, have no idea what they were doing (assuming they are who they claim to be, anyway)
@@katehucks774 Actually, what they said was that they didn't intentionally craft it to be as confusing as possible, they just kind of said "if I don't know where I am then nobody else will either." So that doesn't mean they were throwing down random tracks, they did put some thought and effort into it. Just not to the point of metagaming.

This is like the _one_ track where the Blue Shell would actually be helpful because, assuming you could keep up with it, you could use it as a guide to take you through the tracks. That is, if it went along the track with the cars like it does in the more recent games. On the other hand, I kind of like the idea of having it just shoot up into the air and come crashing back down to explode on the guy in first since there's so much track above you in most places that 90% of the time it wouldn't even hit it's target.
So what you're saying is the Blue Shell would essentially be a orbital strike
@@hsalfesrever3554 : What I'm saying is the Blue Shell would behave as it does in other games. More like a missile, I think. But I guess an orbital strike works, too.
A red shell would be easier to follow, and more people would be able to just group up to hunt for the next player up.

This track is like an scp of a racetrack that never ends
if you miss even a single checkpoint, or fall of the track, you die.
if you don't beat the track within a certain time limit, you die.
Its classed as a Euclid class object.
Scp-6045 the infinite race track scp-6045-a seems to be a strange race track in the beginning but when used by someone they seem to vanish when they get to the end
Scp-6045-b is the checkpoints someone crosses if you miss one of the you die
Scp-6045-c random people seem to appear everywhere all of them were suspected to have come from scp-6045

I have a driving phobia, some of my nightmares have involved me pulling over to get my bearings and as I look at the road I basically see this racetrack. Good stuff map creator, you've basically brought to life how my subconscious perceives Dallas, just you know, minus the drunks.

10:03 fun fact: when you make a map in trackmania, you have to validate it. That means, you have to play it going through all the checkpoints to see if the map is fully possible. I can’t fathom how many times this dude may have validated a run for over 1hr before having to quit, fix a map issue, then run it again xD

Nah while creating the map you can just place the car anywere to test a specific section, the validation run only needs to be done once. But it still needs to be done haha

When the original Trackmania came out, I made a multi-level underground maze with a single checkpoint hidden somewhere inside. To actually complete it, I had to map out all the levels just to find the one checkpoint. I wonder if it’s still out there somewhere…

Imagine being over 95% done in a 2+ hour race and getting stuck. Needless to say, a lot of people would likely feel the same
this happened to one of my friends in golf where we were play gowyf and it was a single hole course ND it took us like almost an hour to get to it and we had a hotkey reset but he accidentally on the literally ramp to the exit got his ball reset to an unplayable position so I feel.

This track is like the equivalent of Kingdom Heart's plot, and all of the checkpoints are all of the story beats that you have to hit for any of the story to make sense.
Firstly, when you mentioned speedruns of this track I thought of people intentionally flinging themselves to different parts of the map to save some time using a very complex route. Secondly, I'd like to see someone try driving this entirely in first-person

Nadeo once made their own spaghetti track, “E-02 - Endurance”, for Trackmania Nations Forever. That game came out all the way back in 2008, and most players will never see it because it’s locked behind crazy medal requirements. It’s still not as insane as the track in this video.
Oh I was trying to at least gold everything back then, then unlocked that shit... It wasn't anywhere near this bad, but I hated it.

This is the racing equivalent of the Backrooms. Massive stretches of familiar-looking structures, but they keep going on for miles and miles, seemingly infinitely. And it’s a miracle if you meet someone.

This actually could be a pretty good metaphor for depression. Depression may seem like your on your own on a track with no end but there is an end to it and people are willing to go out of their own way to find you and help bring you across the finish line into a better place, far away from the evil of Xenu where our thetan souls can be in peace.
Depression itself has no end for some people, it’s more so finding ways to lessen the amount they struggle with on a day to day basis for them. This metaphor only works if you don’t have chronic depression…

If you were to use this track for chronic depression, the best analogy would be either driving this track with a car that has no breaks, or even more accurately, a 1 mile moped that you can't get off of that's controlled by the person who hates you the most, assuming their hate for you was multiplied near infinitely.
I'd say the metaphor for chronic depression is finishing the track, finding out you missed a few CPs, hitting them, finding out you have to go back to the start to finish, then finally getting there and it saying "lap 1 complete" and the race isn't over yet

The Maze
Scp 27000 is a multi level race track with 700 checkpoints. It is situated in an open air stadium near the city of _________ in the Italy. All racers must complete the race before they can leave forcing finishers to send out search parties for lost racers which almost never return.

Whoever designed this track, you need to be a real road engineer. I knew exactly where Rt needed to go, seemed easy for him to get to the next checkpoint and easily see all the other drivers on the road. This and the very efficient use of space makes this the perfect thing to implement in places like new york.
There is an old book released in 1974 called the House of Stairs. Several people wake up in an unending void, full of stairs and platforms. When they try to look for a floor, they would only see more stairs. A wall? Only stairs. The ceiling? Stairs.

@@MrBurntington Basically this, but you have to deal with traffic & have limited fuel to get to the end.
You have to be careful on the bits where the track isn’t fully flat and is slightly twisted, otherwise the bus will topple over and kill you. Don’t worry though, it only takes 48 hours to be reincarnated, at which point you have to relive your life up until the age of 43 in real time, make sure you don’t put down your controller/keyboard or you die from not pressing X to breathe and B to beat your heart.
