@@katherinie yes. Join Msc zoology, study hard. Then from your third semester you can appear for CSIR exam. If you clear it you can join for phD where ever you wish in India.

get a private Job at lab/food industry they'll pay you 15-20k, or prepare for fssai, FCI, FSO, etc.

In my opinion microbiology is good
Pls go for general one. If you go for applied science like biotech, micro, biochem etc.... Career options are limited.
@preeti shukla yes options are there but limited compare to general ones. For biotech, biochemistry, and microbiology... Research is the best option... You have to clear CSIR net JRF... Then do PhD... Post doc research... Then publication in high impact journals. It's not possible for every one. Only for the ones with true passion for research....

Minimum qualifications required is graduation, there are a lot of jobs available in industries for microbiology students, but for government job please watch the video carefully, for govt job notification
