Sometimes you hear just a couple of words and it makes you flip out. It's impossible to ignore them. You can ignore them at times with Music or preoccuping yourself with something else that is noise of some sort

My voices hates when I ignore them they get louder. I'll go to turn up the stereo to drown them out. It's scary to try and hide them from talking all they do is get louder. What's a good way to get rid of then all together or is there a way? My medication helps them stay away for a while but then there back all over again I feel like I'm going to depend on them for the rest of my life. Which I hate everytime I turn around there out to get me I just want them to go away but the won't. I can only hope one day I'll have real people to talk to instead of the voices

I'm sorry you have to go through that. I have mental health issues too, not the same as you, but I've learned to super appreciate the good days and try to remember that the bad days wont last lol. I hope you have more good days than bad. 🫶

They don't just stop if you just "ignore them" Well at least not fully ever fully go away. Depends on how much stress I'm under. Mostly auditory but visual disturbing too. Like voices not matching lips movements 😮

I had an emergency surgery and almist didn't make it. After, when I was at the ICU, I heard voiced whenever i closed my eyes. Maybe they were like me, not dead, yet not really alive, I don't know, but they were many and talked all at the same time. Everything was exhausting, keeping my eyes open, listening to people, breathing, and when i wanted to take a break and close my eyes they were SO loud. I told them they were annoying and to SHUT UP- explaining to my mom I wasn't talking to her (she's an angel and didn't leave my side). It's almost 10 years but i won't ever forget them ir doubt they were somehow real.

Uuuugggg‼️That question came from a Psychology Student?!?! They have already failed the course in my opinion 🤦🏽‍♀️ I don’t have any type of mental health issues, but my son is on the spectrum. I find myself in all types of mental health communities to learn and understand what others could be dealing with and way to help my son. These Communities and Channels like yours are extremely valuable, helpful, just straight up important for a caregiver or parent who is helping someone with their struggles. I’m sorry but I have to say it…. Questions like that trigger the heck outta me because if it was so simple (like most of these professionals say or think) you or others would not talk to the hallucinations…. Duhhh! They tick me off with that “All you have to do is… and Wa- La, problem solved!”

It's basically a dream in reality. I have reoccurring dreams. This sounds so familiar! Im just asleep when this happens.

Have you ever interrupted someone who is talking? If not I talk on a livestream and you can try it and see what happens as in if it helps with peace of mind being interrupted is different though I had issues I held on to cause I wondered how I got over it

So like, if you respond how you would with a person who refuses to get anywhere in a conversation, do your voices respond like an "outside" person would? Like, if you politely told them you agreed to disagree would they fuck off, or even get more aggressive with you?
Like, how plausible is it to treat and set boundaries with the voices like you would another person?

Do they wear the same clothes and look the same each time? You say seeing the camera pops you back. Have you tried setting a 15 minute timer on your smart watch with a reminder to check reality? Would that give you more frequent snap backs?

Makes us question what reality is, is it something manufactured by our brains, is it a group hallucination..

Do you think it’s weird that we can hear voices under water? You should try listening to your voices when you’re under water, you can’t talk back to them. It’s the weirdest thing you can experience.

That’s a demon’s intrusion of your mind. Give your life to Jesus and rebuke the devil in Jesus name! The demon has no power before the name of Jesus but you have to become a child of God first to have this authority over the devil.

this isn’t the Dark Ages. we know now that it is a real mental disorder. one of an array of them. you should research the brain and how complex yet also fragile it is and it will make sense how this kind of stuff happens neurologically.

    •  День назад

      You cannot be serious.
GTFO with this preachy nonsense. It’s truly reprehensible.
Schizophrenia is a psychiatric illness, not “demons”. Shoving your uneducated, religious beliefs down someone else’s throat is VERY
un-Christ-like (although it is very much a habit of most of his followers, ironically).
Your comment is rude, potentially harmful, disrespectful, ignorant, and dismissive all at once. You must be very proud of yourself.
If you had an OUNCE of knowledge on the subject, rather than regurgitating your brainwashed mantras, you’d be aware that people cannot “pray” schizophrenia away. Insinuating anything else is inexcusable.
Now go thump your bible someplace else.

Please reach out to the crisis line or your local community health services to try to get someone to at least give YOU some help and respite.
You shouldn’t have to face this alone.
