Anything you cane do to make a laundry area brighter or more cheerful is a good thing. Laundry is a drab job. Anything you can do will improve the minutes you are in that space. I like those sticker tiles. For a tiny space they are cute!

I do dream of a mudroom/utility room! Our machines are in 1 of our bathrooms, and they were in the previous house as well. I would love to have a place to come in muddy from the garden, clean off, keep the boots, shoes and coats, do the wash, etc. And separate from the bathroom where guests go.

Jus sayn if you cut that board the width of your washer you would have that whole side wall to hang things. Or they have a slide out you could put on side of washer . There is shelves you could put your soap , fabric softener, bleach. Then space to hang your mop n broom. Love the blue and white stick n peel. On back you would just put a leg on back corner and front corner for support for the wood on top of washer. ❤️
I think finding a basket like the one on the fridge to use on the shelf above the washer would blend in nicely. Or maybe some cute canisters to store laundry supplies.

That turned out so cute! Definitely makes it more fun to do laundry. The tiles are very pretty as well. I might add a piece of wood trim across the front of the shelf and paint it white to make it look more finished and hide the side supports.
I really like the curtain idea. I did something similar, but I hung a shower tension rod across the entire space and hid my broom, and mop etc behind it also. That way the entire space is behind a cute curtain and no one has to see anything you decide to throw back there 😉

Hi Catherine. It's me again, I say cheeky thumbs up on the tiny tiles. Thanks for the advice about potential best places to install it. So many great products are now available and the splash of design really worked along with the painting of the countertop area.

The washer nook looks much better, but I have two suggestions to make it even cuter, and more functional. First, they have canvas rolling laundry hampers that are rectangle shaped and would probably fit in the space beside your washer perfectly. That would give you a place to put dirty clothes waiting to be washed, and it would complete the picture and look really nice. And secondly, I would exchange the clear plastic bins for wicker baskets or some other type of natural material like rattan, that would give you that nice wood contrast look you were hoping for and they would definitely look much better than the plastic bins and would show off the cute stick on tiles much better also. Just suggestions, but good ones! Happy Passover!

I love the tiles. it really stepped up your little laundry area. I don't have a "laundry room" either. my washer/dryer is in an open faced closet right next to the back door. thankfully I have shelves above it. I hung a decorative shower curtain on a spring rod so I can conceal them. it works great and hides the things I don't want to see. I just love your videos.
