I have a lot of history with this video, for some reason. I found it back when I was young, I only had a PC with a Pentium G620 and GT 610. So it could barely run L4D2. Watching this I really wished I could have the same graphical fidelity but also the performance that he has. So when the time finally came to get my own gaming rig, I listened to all the soundtracks in this video separately (thank you for introducing me to Netsky, Roydus c:), waiting for the PC parts to arrive, extremely excited. Then once I built the PC, I got blown away by the performance and no joke the first thing I did was play versus with the music from this video in the background. It was amazing ♥ For anyone wondering, I currently run a Intel Core i9-14900KS with a MSI RTX 4090 Suprim X and 32 GB of 6400 MT/s DDR5 RAM, that I built myself. I couldn't ask for a better PC!
“Fortnite? Fall guys? Among Us? What are you talking about dude. Lets go finish all the campaigns in l4d2!” 2022 edit: “Valorant? Elden ring? What are you talking about dude. Lets go finish all the campaigns in l4d2!”
One thing I've learned from this game 12 years later... is you're never too good to learn something new. So often I see people do stuff and go go "didn't know you could do that". And that's the beauty of games that don't give you the "tutorial of how to play" at the beginning like every FPS today. You just figure it out, the taking advantage of mechanics, different spots and even taking into account lag sometimes etc. This is by far my favorite game of all time.
Why does't anybody knows how to play with the spitter? Ok, there go some useful tips: You can use signs, walls, buildings, the roof, etc, to bounce the spit anywhere without being spotted. Or even use gravity in open places, hide behind something, aim for the sky and lightly turn in the direction of the survivors. You don't have to go to roof edges or you'll get killed before even attacking. Also you can predict the survivors way, spit on the floor before they walk on it, and incap everyone with low health. You can wait on top of stairs and spit on the floor, so the survivors climbing up are gonna get damaged (even though they are not touching the floor), or they'll have to jump (for example, the way out of the sewer in No Mercy). DO NOT attack a survivor that is in the floor if you need to kill him fast. Do it if someone is helping him get up, because the spit does way more damage to standing survivors than incapacitated ones (you need 3 or 4 spits to kill, only one to incap), better use a boomer: They won't be able to get up nor shoot all the zombies. Sometimes, if you are far from the victim, aim a little higher, if you are really far, aim a lot higher, gravity will do the job. The spitter is my favorite infected to play, so I know a few stuff. No, I don't think I am an expert, better than everyone, I just have 5 years of L4D2 experience right now and sometimes rage with bad spitters. Just wanted to share some knowledge. I suck as a hunter tho.
Lady Lynx yeah the bouncing spit is definitely a super fun way to play, especially second level of dead Center where you get tons of oppurtunities to bounce spit, I have managed like 400 damage on a single spitter on that level without getting killed once, sure they were noobs but still.
Spitter is my fav. I just like sniping people and blocking them off/stalling them and yet also doing a lot of damage in certain situations. Also her design is pretty neat, she is quite creepy. Although all infected are, I think they did a good job at their design.
I might have to agree with you about the design. My favorite is the Witch and how she in capitates/kills you in one hit. Plus she looks better then the spitter, she is the most strongest/dangerous infected, and her moaning is creepy after hearing it a little while.
Dude these gameplay mechanics are insane, especially that Hunter movement tech. I can't believe how little we've innovated on this in 10 years of game development.
I play this daily again (now with mods) and I used to play on pc when it first came out (I’m 24 now) I remember THIS video specifically after all this time. The thumbnail and everything. Love this video. Nostalgia
Man, I was jealous of this guy's FPS back when I was on a dual-core Pentium and GT 610. Now I got a decent gaming rig with great airflow and I would love to make a tribute to this video.
I watched this video so many years ago when I was a kid who had just started playing the game. This video taught me a lot of tricks that I still use whenever I play it! Also, that music frickin slaps.
I remember watching this video when I was only 6 years old and as I saw that they were tips for vs mode, I used those tips playing with my friends and I remember winning many games thanks to this video lol, 13 years have passed and I feel like I'm back in my childhood, I'm 18 years old, and what good memories I have with this video
I used to watch this specific video so much as a kid because I wanted to be a better player and coming back 10 years later to still see the video is up its amazing and brings back so much nostalga
You forgot about the ability to stall them as a Spitter. I do it all the time, if they're in a building or if there is a really enclosed space just spit so they have to stay put and wait which gives your teammates some time to either set up or do some damage in the meantime. Also you can troll survivors as a tank. If they're being smartasses and dancing around you, pick up a rock and make it look like you're going to toss it at one survivor, then spin around and throw it at a different one lol
When i watched this back when i had 13 years in 2012, i got totally hooked by this music, it literally became a musical era for me (2012-2015). Altrough i switched musical styles by the time, i still listen to this with a lot of nostalgia. Man, your musical tastes literally defined my youth and im hella grateful for that.
MORE Advice that he didn't know -As a Jockey, make sure the survivors back is facing AWAY from his fellow survivors, chances of them hitting you is decreased, and chances of them hitting the survivor is increased. -As a tank, use cars or trash or wagons to BLOCK off where the survivors are going. Cyndasaur still, you get 60 sec extra time to kill them, and i cant remember what it is but theres a trick that when moving objects as a tank they dont vanish or that when moving objects as a tank adds another 60 sec
But if you only use rocks it dosen't vanish :). Quick Tip-As a Jockey you can bunnyhop to get to the survivors faster or run from the survivors. PS: Check out HS Top they have alot of tricks for CS:GO,L4D2 and more...

This is like a charger's stroke and can be used for death roars (roared off ledge or high place). It can also hit multiple players and goes through walls. Two, if you want to hit a car or trash can over a prop, pop it straight-up-forward, stand on top of it and punch down and at an angle. It takes some getting used to, but it can be used to do things like pop a car over a fence or house.
I have seen this video many times. The first time I found it was in 2014. And I must say that this video helped me a lot in the game. And now I come just to remember how cool the L4D2 is. What nostalgia this game :,)
You forgot one for the Spitter, after you use your spit and it has to recharge, stand near other special infected who have someone (Example a hunter is pinning a survivor) then wait to be killed, as you will drop a pool of fire acid on him. Your Welcome :)
still the most nostalgic video to me. i remember when i first watched this as a kid, now im returning to play on pc as a young adult. really crazy how fast time moves man, the song always hit even as a kid to me.. and now that im thinking about it, this video literally had me practicing to double bounce off of walls with the hunter, crazy man... i remember when i first was able to recreate 2:14 and spending hours trying to do this 2:23 and 2:55.. crazy how much nostalgia a video can hold, feel like its been ages since i first stumbled across this video..
I have one tip. In those levels where you have to collect gas cans some people tend to pile them all. If you play as boomer you can go the pile and let a survivor shoot you. The explosion would send the cans flying away making the survivors waste more time
I remember watching this without playing l4d2 when I was 11 or 12 and I just loved how the video was made. Now that I actually have it in 2022, I can finally put these tips into action! :D

This is so useful man, thanks. I recently picked up L4D during the summer sale and I love it. I don't think I'll ever get bored of this game, with the mods and stuff, and now tricks to play with.
This video helped me alot as I was a big L4D fan and good as playing as Survivors, but terrible when I came to Infected. With lots of pratice, and this video to help me with it, I became way better as Infected. Super helpful!

This is another trick for hunter: Burning hunter does more damage than usual
Burning hunters cant jump on walls
Mann Cannon but they do more damage than normal hunter
Justin Adrian
But they cant jump on walls
Mann Cannon all l4d2 players know that
they only do damage if they are:
-lit by molotov
-lit by gas can
-or lit by incendairy ammo

With the boomer, if you survive the puke, run up close and melee. If they kill you up close they’ll get staggered and it will put them in more danger.

Jesus Christ, you’re like 12 years old now. Still not old enough to play L4D2. Go draw pictures or something.

This is so useful man, thanks. I recently picked up L4D during the summer sale and I love it. I don't think I'll ever get bored of this game, with the mods and stuff, and now tricks to play with.

Nostalgia pura ♥️
This video helped me alot as I was a big L4D fan and good as playing as Survivors, but terrible when I came to Infected. With lots of pratice, and this video to help me with it, I became way better as Infected. Super helpful!
Time to say:2019 anyone?
