    What are you top Units in the Ironstorm Spearhead Detachment?!

      I really like using the combi lieutenant. He’s great to have the enhancement which allows vehicles to fallback and shoot. Plus the reroll wound rolls of 1 is great. Potentially saves you using an ironstorm detachment roll.

      All of the units you mentioned are great, practically auto-includes. The near total unavailability, unless willing to pay double MSRP, of the Gladiator model kit forces players to look for alternates though. Both Predator Annihilators and Destructors are passable substitutions for the Gladiator.
      For Black Templar players using the detachment, an examination of top lists from Best Coast Pairing reveals many instances of humble Impulsors being a prime choice. Their "free" Multi-Melta increases their output for little extra cost and gives you the option of also embarking good firing units like Hellblasters, Sternguard, or Eliminators to take advantage of its ample Firing Deck.

      iron Father Feirros, 3 Techmarines, 2 lancer executioners, 2 redemptors, 1 ballistus, 10 intercessors and 10 heavy intercessors. 2000pts. Works good for me until now. And thanks for explaning a little bit more the effects.

    1. Techmarine (buffing)
    2. Gladiator Lancer (nice antitank)
    3. Redemptor Dreadnought (Allrounder)
    4. Vindicator (Allrounder)
    5. Whirlwind (fire support and Homefield defender)
    Whirlwinds are the weakest out of the 5, but let them sit in your Deploymentzone, defend the homefield objectiv and still deliver firesupport is nice. 24:08 24:08
    For Infanterie i think Scouts are absolut must have. Very very good Utility, good movment, you get many boddys on the board.

      I hadn't thought of the Whirlwind but good shout, the Vindicator I agree with 100% I was sorely tempted to put it instead of the Devastators but I wanted *something* in the list that wasn't a vehicle so decided to swap it out, but I absolutely will be using my 3 Vindicators in an Ironstorm list a lot :D

      @@TheSixMachine I plan to use this detachment with Space Wolves, a whirlwind in the back with a pack of fenris wolves for screening (only 30pts)

    Repulsor with Apothecary Biologis buffed with Master of Machine war (allowing a vehicle to shoot if it falls back or advances) leading a 6 man Erradicator Squad that against a vehicle or monster can reroll everything not just one dice but the entre hit, wound, and damage roll this especcially if in meltaa 2 range will kill anything in the game and if they try to charge you, you can literally jump back in the repulsor and hide. Like a Lancer a Must Take in this detachment , and yes Always two buffed Tech Marines, Great Video

    Mercy is Weakness isn’t contingent on less than half strength as you said. It’s less than starting strength. One wound or one model down is all it takes.

    As an Iron Hands player who got into the hobby 4 years ago, I'm all Primaris. I'm a noob player (more into painting and the lore). I've been running 1,000 points using Feirros attached to 5 Heavy Intercessors, 1 Tech Marine. 1 Repulsor Executioner, 2 Redemptors and 5 Infiltrators. I've encountered Death Guard the past 2 times and lost. How can I beat them?

    Do the buffs work while the tech marine is IN a transport? Maybe on an impulser firing deck?

    • @donramsey5696
      @donramsey5696 Год назад

      Yes they do, they are within 3" of the vehicle

    • @trentathawat6714
      @trentathawat6714 Год назад +13

      No, they do not. Units placed in a transport are not "on the table".
      The Firing Deck rule adds their weapon profile to the tank with that rule, it does not allow the infantry model to fire or convey rules or abilities to that tank.
