Amazing. Wish you were my neighbor i got stuck with some schmuck that wouldnt appreciate a scale unless it wss full of downers. You roll it like i never seen. made my day thank you for mastering your art snd sharing.
Unless I missed it no one asked Adam what picks he used and did he change for different room situations, hard to imagine a Golfer not being asked about what clubs he uses!!.
Lovely video of a wonderful player and an entertaining speaker. But I REALLY wish the man setting up the video camera had considered that the mic stands were going to ruin our view of the instrument as he plays the mandolins
Down on the beat and up off of the beat. It's hard to find the key to a mystery when there is no mystery. That's why most people can't play, always looking when they should be listening.
Adam Steffy is a mandolin playing genius, but...DO NOT use wd40 on any part of any stringed instrument. Personally, I do not allow wd40 in the same county as any of my stringed instruments. It will collect in the slots under the frets, it will get under the finish, not to mention the disgusting odor...

so true! big fail!!!
Is Adam alright? He seems to have lost tremendous amounts of body weight. He's not ill, is he? I want him to stay on this earth for a long while.
I thought I had the wrong name in my head. Had to go look at another video he did with Sierra Hull to make sure it was him.
great playing, and great wisdom thanks for sharing !!
Pity the mic is hiding his right hand... Yes, he look great!

a mandoplayer from sweden
ugh, stop asking him about pickups/microphones - talk about the instruments!
People tend to ask about the dumbest stuff in workshops like these. It's not every day you have Adam Steffey in front of you
