    Why is the front fan exhaust?

    • @ElevatedSystems

      It was for actual testing. I typically shoot B-Roll after everything is done and the script is complete. That was just a mistake during footage collection. I was just trying to demonstrate and show the slim fans used.

    sort of wish they made dual chamber for a vertical GPU on the back. That would add to the size footprint, and require a riser cable, but it would really open up the GPU options.

    Nice case with interesting design features. Strong frame and panels and atx psu to keep costs in check. Thanks for reviewing 👍

    I honestly don't get why SFF cases include a handle AND a glass side panel. Who is gonna carry a case with a glass side panel around? Also you have the best regional accent!

    Just a note. You missed on the GPU. The best card that can fit in here is the 2 fan Gigabyte 4070 model. That card is under 200mm so should fit snugly in this case.

    If they would have made the PSU chamber SFX and added the additional space towards the front of the case while also offering a mesh side panel instead of tempered glass, I truly believe they could have had one of the greatest ITX cases this year.

      I was thinking the same, I don’t like the handle or feet but I think I’d bin both off and fit an atx to sfx bracket with a 850w sfxl, the vent on the bracket will allow airflow into the psu chamber and hold the power supply up by about 10mm giving it room to pull air in underneath

    Great review, this case has a lot of potential. I think I'll take it. Can you tell me how much space is available for the top ( height ) of the graphics card? It might help me to eventually deshroud the GPU.

    The way the gpu is configured, you might actually want to install the cpu cooler so that it exhausts to the front as well. Probably wouldn't impact cooling too much, but exhausting to the front and the back irks me in a way I can't put into words. Also, nice heating in winter.
    The room for an ATX psu is wasted because I can't imagine a current cpu drawing enough power that an ITX psu can't supply, especially when limited to a 215mm gpu. All in all, the handle is a great idea for SFF builds and the room for large air coolers is cool, but I think sandwich layouts are still the way to go for SFF.
    Very interesting, but not the target group I guess.

    • @ElevatedSystems
      @ElevatedSystems  2 месяца назад +2

      I had the fans configured with the front as intake and the rear as exhaust, so all the ventilation was front to rear.

      @@ElevatedSystems In hindsight, I have no idea how I made that leap of logic. Probably rotated it on the wrong axis in my head.

      @@overlordmarkus no you were right. It was accidentally flipped in my B-roll shot. It was the right way during testing however.

    The limited graphics card length is a deal breaker for most people I would think.
    Also, that doesn't look like real wood on the front.
    The Fractal Terra is still ahead in SFF cases.

    I do like the look and the big cooler support, the limits on the GPU length would kill it for me.

    I’ve been wondering if it is possible to fit a 4080 super and a 7950x3d by using a custom liquid cooling solution but I still can’t figure out where and how a radiator would fit in this

    Magnets only to secure the tempered glass panel is kinda bad if they want to market this as portable with a handle.

    More cases, and especially portable ones, need to go back to acrylic panels. YES, glass looks 5 percent better, but it is also 10000% more fragile. Never heard of anyone with a cracked acrylic panel.

    anything can handle any power if you don't care about dust or noise, because all you need to do it make it mesh on all sides and it'll be the same as open air.
    but at that point you gotta ask yourself what even is the point of having a case.

    This looks so weird to me. Pulling in air from the top is so counter intuitive and why buy such a premium case when you're limited to such tiny graphics cards. I'm already annoyed I was only able to find one single RTX 4080 SUPER that fits the Fractal Design Ridge after my RX 7900 XT already seemed too big (and it actually wasn't, no idea what I thought when I looked at those measurements before going out to buy a new graphics card. I guess warm air rising against the airflow isn't that much of an issue when the components can't be very strong but still... just feels weird overall. That and that gigantic handle at the top 🤔

    • @gilramos5767
      @gilramos5767 2 месяца назад +4

      The GPU on top makes sense if you want an unobstructed front panel. Most cases this size/style place the PSU towards the front of the case (like the nr200), but in this way they can have room for full ATX PSU and unobstructed airflow for both the CPU and GPU. The case would have been better had they gone SFX PSU, elongated the front panel, and added a mesh side panel option. Bonus points if they allowed for taller CPU coolers.

      Not everyone uses big GPUs. Using mid to low end hardware is actually quite common if you stalk any SFF PC boards. SFF is an interesting space because a lot of people want something kind of hyper specific.

    Its legit. FormD and Streacom and Fractal all have good competition with this. We're also seeing sff gpu's emerge. Gigabyte has their 4060 mini. I expect a 5060 mini too.
